Good morning everybody. Is it coming? Okay there's a very very short intro because we
need to get on the train but we are heading into London today. This is
clever. I guess we're kind of already nearly there. We have one more train to
catch and we are there. We're doing something very exciting today that
Lucy and I and Koda is very excited about. Eating a certain food we haven't eaten
for a very long time but our train is here. Chat soon. Okay we made it on our
next train. We are very nearly in central London. We are coming up for a trip for a
couple of days. We're gonna be doing loads of stuff. Keep an eye on the
channel for the next couple of vlogs. Today it's gonna be based around food.
Lunchtime is coming up and we wanted a quick option to get into this trip and we were like we have just the thing. We know exactly what we want and there's a
restaurant right near where we're actually not right near where we're staying but on the way to our
Okay we've arrived at our hotel. Remy's having some time out of the carrier. We decided last
minute to ditch the buggy. We had it all packed. It was in the car. We walked to the
train station in Worthing with the buggy and then when we got to the station we were like hang on why are we having the buggy? Remy doesn't even like being in the buggy. He prefers being in the carrier.
So the boys are having a bit of time to sort themselves out. We've arrived at our hotel. I'm looking for a coffee shop. Yes. And then straight into lunch. Gentlemen. I'm very hungry. Me too, I'm a bit too hungry. Daddy.
So we're staying here at the Park Plaza London Westminster. We got off at Waterloo here so literally two minutes away. The London Eye is right there.
Coda what's our new thing we say? We stay together in London. No running off. No we hold hands. Remy can't talk darling and we'll let him off.
But yeah look Coda it's Big Ben. Look can you see it? Look darling over the bridge look over this way come here. Wow. Even though this is the capital city of our own country it's still exciting seeing Big Ben right? Something about it.
And I think that's I said to Lucy before we came in just now just order whatever like get a mix of stuff. We're all really hungry and you're still going. Sounds nice.
What peach mango pie? I don't know I'm cooking it. Alright we'll try the new one we'll try the new one. Coco pineapple pie never heard of it.
Two trays of food. One. Wow. Amazing. We're very hungry but this is a late lunch and we haven't eaten much and we ate breakfast very early.
I have to say this is a really really nice store here we've been to first time we've been to this one we've been to the oh Lucy this is a continuation of our series of eating at Jollibee around the world.
One of the times we like filmed in Jollibee we made I put all the clips of where all the restaurants we've eaten at in like a little montage. I don't know if I'm gonna have enough editing time to bring you that masterpiece again today.
Maybe I'll try and find it and put it in and this is like the part I don't know part seven or something but yeah new store for us in London Jollibee is spreading across the UK rapidly it seems.
We came to the very we came to the opening of the very first Jollibee in the whole of the UK I believe it was in Earl's Court. No Earl's Court. I want to say Earl's Court.
Back at that store we noticed it was pretty much all Filipinos everyone as the words gotten around like in here I'd say it's like 50-50 and so many more people are discovering Jollibee which is a good thing because it is rather delicious.
Okay I'm going straight in with is that a beak? Oh my no it won't be it kind of looks like a beak.
So we're just going to go straight in with the chicken jollipes.
Coda went for the cheeseburger good choice the yum burger.
First time trying Jollibee chicken. What for Coda is it?
So we ordered a few new things as well.
So this is like some double spicy chicken masterpiece of some sort.
Let's get in here.
This looks so good.
Look at this.
Look at the size of that.
For a farmer you don't often get good portions at a fast food restaurant.
I'm not even quite into this.
Oh good darling.
That is really really good. Oh my god so spicy.
We all have burgers.
Yeah.
Cheers darling.
Wow this is so spicy.
So spicy.
I have to say everything's a bit cold.
If we're going to give an honest review here.
The flavour's really good but it feels like it's a bit old.
But the taste is amazing.
If this is the same spicy burger as the Liverpool one it's nowhere near as spicy.
I don't know what you're raving about.
Are you joking?
It's a lovely hum. I like to call it a hum.
This is really spicy.
A hum of spice. It's delicious but it's not spicy.
It's spicier than not spicy but it's not spicy.
I thought it was spicy.
Actually the Yum Burger's got that sauce in it so it could be a little bit.
So these are the new tenders. Chicken tenders.
So it's the same crispy skin as the Chicken Joy but without the bone.
And I feel like we've had these but it said new on it.
I'm a little bit lost.
Can I have some chicken mate?
Do you want to try this chicken? It's there because there's no bone in it.
It might be easier.
Nice, do you want that?
Can I have it all?
I'm dipping it in the gravy.
Because I've got Remy here I'm trying to stop rolling for lunch.
It's not an easy meal with kids you know but we do it.
Nothing's easy with kids.
So good with the gravy.
There's no lid on the gravy.
Oh no I took the lid off.
Again, not very warm but often flavour comes out more with colder food.
I'm trying to find a positive as well.
The flavour's really good.
It does taste fresh though.
It doesn't taste like it's been sat out.
It's just a little bit cold.
Like it's been left somewhere a bit cold.
My favourite bit.
Something about white rice on it's own.
Plain rice.
Like a burger.
This is only £1.
The total was extortionate at £42.
But worth it.
So I thought this was the hot dog.
Turns out we didn't order a hot dog today.
We ordered the mini, this is new I think, mini loaded sriracha fries.
Which looks quite good.
No.
Was it?
It shouldn't be that.
Oh.
It should be like K-Fries or something.
Oh the K-Fries.
Sorry I think it's like the Korean Spice Fries.
So you get these like bites of chicken with this sauce on.
It looks like a big one.
Mmm.
And then some spring onion chopped up on there.
So fairly like basic but nice.
The sauce is nice.
Kind of has that Korean kind of taste.
The fries are cold.
But like Lisa said the flavour is still there.
I can tell these fries are a little bit old.
If you've been watching the vlogs for a long time,
you would have heard me say before my first ever job was in McDonald's.
So I know what good fries taste like.
I know what bad fries taste like.
So the first piece of chicken is great.
The second piece, if you can see this on the camera,
I don't know if you're going to be able to tell,
people who are into their chicken watch this.
I feel like I'm a chicken person.
It's very dry, you can see.
You know when it's kind of like cooked a bit too long.
It's super dry on the edge.
So this is a slightly disappointing piece.
The other one was delicious.
And then the only last two things we have to eat are the pies.
So we've got one peach mango,
one coconut pineapple.
Got the custard crispy thing.
Hang on.
Do you want to try it?
Do you like it?
Do you want to try any more?
That's the pineapple.
It's a sweet coconut.
It's very nice.
Alright, lunch finished.
Delicious. Really, really good.
We did say the temperature of the food did let it down slightly.
Yes.
But, I mean like.
Still very satisfied, still kicked the craving.
It did, the flavour was good.
As an overall experience, an overall meal, satisfied, happy.
And annoyingly, we realised at the end there's a secret menu,
but we didn't see it until the end.
So we do need to come back and do that.
Comment below what secret menu, tell us what it is,
and make us feel jealous that we missed out.
Yeah, we are super jealous.
Although what we don't feel jealous about is missing out on
the start of the Christmas vibe in London.
Beautiful, walking down Regent Street here.
All the fancy shops.
Coda is like bewildered,
because he hasn't really been in London before.
Wow.
Things like this in the windows, massive bears,
and everything is just on a bigger scale,
and he's just looking around like, wow, this is so different
to our small little seaside town.
But we have promised him,
we have promised him a little trip
to Hamleys,
which is like one of the best toy stores in the whole UK.
Seven floors of toys.
It's getting into late afternoon.
We are going to want to get to the hotel soon-ish.
The room is ready, but we did promise him
his first ever time in Hamleys,
so we'll give it a go.
What's that?
Wow, guys.
This is the toy shop.
This feels like becoming a parent
in Christmas time is so much better.
It brings the whole new meaning
back to Christmas again.
Him looking at this window is like
those old classic Christmas films
when the kids just love Christmas so much.
That's the kind of vibe you get.
Christmas elves.
Amazing.
Just stopped into Lush
because Lucy wanted to get Coda a bath bomb.
Smell it.
It's got glitter all over your face.
Glittery face.
We've just jumped in a black cab.
Classic London style.
Sitting in traffic, but it's quite nice
because it's really chilled.
We were just saying how quiet it is in here
and then we realised and remembered that
all the cabs and all the buses in London
are now fully electric.
So the city in general is just quieter.
It's kind of nicer to be in.
London can be quite overwhelming
and busy and loud,
but the whole volume of the city
is a lot lower than it used to be
coming up here.
And sitting in this cab now,
it's peaceful.
We've been sat in traffic.
Oh, OK, the meter is running.
Of course it's running.
That's true.
OK, so Lucy and I just off camera
were like, this was so easy.
We found a cab that was free,
we hailed it down, jumped in
and it might be it.
We were like, why do we get Ubers?
You have to book the app,
you have to meet them somewhere,
they change the meeting point
and you have to wait and look for your car.
We literally jumped in this cab in two seconds
and we were on our way.
Maybe Uber is slightly cheaper, I don't know.
I guess it depends on the journey.
Comment below if you're a Londoner,
unlike us small town folk.
It's quite a thing to get cabs, isn't it?
Yeah, 100%.
The black cab is synonymous with London.
We're going to get back to the hotel
and we'll show you our room because they upgraded us,
which is epic.
We haven't seen it yet, but we've got a suite.
The man himself.
The B-R-G B-E-N.
Here we go.
Woah.
We always need the one hostel we need
so we're on a high up floor.
We're on 1123.
Woah, look at this view.
This is so cool.
Just from the corridor, that is so nice.
Wait, were we down there?
We're so high, that was a quick lift.
Look at that view, it's so nice.
Enjoy this view, get even closer from the executive lounge
or yourself a breakfast,
afternoon tea and canapés
from 6.30am to 8pm
while soaking in this unique and amazing view
and comfort. It's really hard to read.
Luce, this isn't an ad for the hotel.
Oh wait, it kind of is.
A big thank you.
A big thank you to...
Oh no, not another ice machine.
These hotels always have ice machines.
We'll get a cup, mate,
and we'll get some ice.
He loves ice machines.
Don't eat that one, that's been on the dirty bit.
He's holding ice in your hand.
We'll get some clean ice in a minute.
This hotel have invited us to stay
which is incredible, thank you so much.
This is the Park Plaza
hotel at Westminster.
I haven't seen the room yet but first impressions
incredibly good, really really nice.
Here we are.
They upgraded our room
so I'm very excited to see this.
That's it, open it.
There you go, open it now.
Do you want me to help, Chris?
Beep, beep, I'll sit first then.
Oh no, Luce!
Coda!
No, no, don't turn the lights on yet.
This is amazing.
Wait, what did you say?
Oh my goodness!
What, we get to sleep on that?
Coda, go to
the window, mate.
That is so cool.
Look out the window, what can you see?
I love your reaction. Oh my goodness!
He's found the suite.
Come and see Big Ben.
Easily.
Thank you mate.
Oh my, I am blown
away. We did
not know we were having this room.
Wow, guys.
Are you kidding me?
This is so nice.
Guys, what do we think?
Look, sweeties!
I actually
hang on, I'll put this up there.
I actually love this place.
I love this place too. I cannot believe
this hotel room. Coda, what is this
on the bed? Oh wait, there's another room.
Yeah, that's not the bed, that's the sofa bed.
That's where you and Nanny are.
Oh, I thought that was the bed.
I thought this was it. Coda, this is our boys bed.
I don't think you realise there's four of us, George.
Yeah, I know.
I forget.
Right, let's
explore the rest.
I mean, this room so far. And by the way,
in the name of transparency, I've just said
that obviously the hotel won't have invited us
and provided the stay. I've said to you guys
before, whenever we work with hotels,
etc, we're not told what to say
and all of our opinions and
experiences that you see on the vlogs are genuine.
So this view, this room, wow.
Unbelievable. So yeah, we've got like
a sofa bed there, which I just thought was the main bed.
Then we've got a kitchen,
TV on the wall. Coda really wants to watch
a Toy Story in a little bit. And then you come
through here, which I haven't even seen yet.
Wow. Same again sort of thing. So cool.
Big bathroom. Oh, there is a
bath. You can use your bath bomb. Coda,
we do have a bath. Coda was hoping there'd be a bath
because he just bought a bath bomb from Lush.
This is super nice.
How exciting.
Remy's loving it as well.
Okay, and then we come through here as well.
So Lucy and Remy are going to be
in here. Reality with two kids who
aren't sleeping very well right now, guys.
No third babies anytime
soon, Lucy.
No third babies anytime soon.
Wow, this is just
amazing.
So cool.
And Coda, what do you...
Okay then.
So Coda, what do you think
of London? We can wake up here in the morning
and look out here. I have no
idea in London, like, the sunrise, where
it rises, whatever, but regardless
it's just an incredible
view. Amazing.
So we've settled in a little bit. The hotel here
also has a swimming pool on
floor minus four. It's a Mandara Spa
and the swimming pool is open for kids
until eight o'clock. Trying to remember what she said
on the phone. Until eight o'clock for kids, until
ten o'clock for adults. So if we wanted,
Lucy and I could have, like, obviously solo
but we could go and have, like, a little late night swim.
So we've changed into swimming shorts
and then I think the plan for dinner
is going to be to order some food to
the hotel because we're not going out again. When you've got
like two kids and it's approaching bedtime
and you've done that day out bit, just getting
back here and having that base, going
back out for dinner is, like, out of the question at that
point. So pizza, I don't know, something
just delivered to the hotel, something chill, something
casual. View of Big Ben, early night
maybe, get some nice sleep, wake up
with that view in the morning for another amazing day
in London. It's nice being a tourist
in your own country. Don't do it enough.
Oh, that looks unreal.
So we've got a
pepperoni
and
are you
happy with that? This is
Coda's new dog, Slinky, from
Toy Story, from Hamleys. Can you
show, can you show me how it opens?
How far does it open?
Wow!
So cool!
It's like the real, wow!
And then
we also got
classic margarita. These look so
good.
