Good morning, we are in Paris.
We arrived last night, we are here for the weekend, a long weekend.
It feels so good to be back in France, I absolutely love this country, I spent a few months here
last year, mostly in the south of France, but it's so beautiful, it's so nostalgic for me
to be back.
We did visit Paris for a few days last year and we absolutely loved it.
We felt like we barely scratched the surface of the city though, so we have a long list
of things that we still want to do, which is what we're hopefully going to be cramming
into this weekend.
We're going to be going to some museums and galleries, cafes, parks, most importantly
we are hoping to see some Christmas decorations.
I do think that we're a little bit too early for the Christmas markets, I think they start
towards like the middle to the end of this month, but we should still be able to see
some Christmas decorations I hope, so yeah, that is our plan for the weekend.
I've actually had a little sort of series of unfortunate events since we left the house
yesterday.
As we were leaving the house I slipped down the stairs and I'm probably 80% certain that
I've like fractured my toe, my toe, big toe joints, the top of my foot, I'm not sure which
part it is exactly but the whole thing is very sore and bruised and swollen and I have
kind of shoved it into my shoes, it really hurts but we're not going to let it get in
the way of the weekend because yeah, there's a lot that we want to do so poor Jessie's
just going to have to put up with me hobbling around the city.
I also, I'm not sure if you'll even be able to see this, but I have a massive bruise on
my arm from where my arm collected on the wooden post, so I'm all bruised and battered
but the show must go on.
So the first thing that we are doing today is we're going to go to a coffee shop of course
and then we are going to a museum that features an artist, I absolutely love his work, I've
wanted to see it in person for quite a while, he's a massive inspiration for me so that's
our first stop, so let's go!
It's the most gorgeous colour of green, it's a nice high neck as well, I love this top
with the collar, it's so cute.
I think this top would look really lovely with a brown jumper on and the collar sort
of sticking up like this and especially because it's got the lace I think it's really cute.
Good morning, we ended up having a bit of a slower day yesterday than we intended, we
spent so long at the museum, unfortunately we didn't see the specific art piece that
I was looking for but we did get to see some lots of other beautiful arts and I found some
new artists that I really quite like so I'm going to look into their pieces a little bit
more.
Then we just sort of wandered around a bit, to be honest my foot was getting quite sore
so we couldn't do as much as we intended but we do have a really fun day planned for today
so I thought we could get ready together.
Okay so Spirit and Grace have kindly sent me over one of their new items from their
winter collection and I'm so excited to show you guys, not just because this is my first
time working with the brand but because Emily the founder and designer is the sole driver
of the whole business so these items are all handmade in the UK and I just think it's
so beautiful when we can support small businesses because of the love and the effort that they
put into their items.
So I've ordered the Eve polka dot set, it is a skirt and blouse set and I thought this
would be absolutely perfect for our weekend here in Paris.
Oh wow this top is just absolutely beautiful, the attention to detail on here, let's try
it on.
How gorgeous is this set, it is so pretty, we've got more sort of fitted style skirt
at the top that flows down nicely at the bottom and then it's balanced by the more peplum
style top.
You can just see how much love and attention has gone into making these pieces just with
all the beautiful added details, like the more balloon style sleeves with the nice ruched
cuff here and then my favourite detail of the whole outfit is this velvet sort of ribbon
that you can tie into a pretty bow down the front of the top here.
So the way I would style this outfit is I would pop on a red scarf, a trench coat and
some boots or even some ballet flats I think would look really cute but because I'm travelling
I don't actually have any of those items on me so I'm just going to pop on my boots and
a black scarf and I think that that will complete the outfit really nicely.
This is the look for the day so let's go explore Paris.
Good morning, it's our last day here in Paris so we have got a lot to do, I'm so tired from
all the walking and the amount of stuff that we've done the last couple of days but I also
feel like I've been really bad with vlogging this whole weekend, it feels like I just keep
forgetting that I'm actually meant to be vlogging it so I'm sorry if this video is a little
bit all over the place but it's sort of like a mix between trying to do everything that
we're doing and also trying to vlog it without feeling like all I'm doing is seeing things
from behind the camera.
So this morning we are off because we want to go and try this sandwich shop, we went
to go and try it yesterday but the line was massive, it was so and we just thought we're
not waiting in line for that long so we thought we'll go there this morning, have a sandwich
for breakfast and then we're going to check out a cafe and we're going to go to this museum
in Le Marais which is where we're staying, it's our favourite area in Paris because it
just feels a little bit more sort of local I guess, a little bit less touristy than staying
over in the other islands where like there's the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower, we just prefer
staying here.
In saying that we are heading over that way tonight because we haven't yet seen the Eiffel
Tower at night time, we didn't do that on our last trip so we want to do that and hopefully
down like the Champs Elysees they've got some Christmas decorations and things like that
so we're hopefully going to check that out because I think sadly we are in Paris a little
too early for all the Christmas decorations because it seems like they're setting things
up still so that's a shame but it's still been really lovely, we've seen a couple of
Christmassy things, other than that we've just been hopping around looking at some boutique
shops in Le Marais, we've gone to a couple of museums and a lot of cafes and a lot of
eating so yes, hopefully today we will go to another cafe, go check out a couple of
gardens and then yeah, head over to the Eiffel Tower in the evening.
The lazy river day canoe, bathing in the turquoise blue, losing track of time with you, another
peach pie sunset view, sleeping in the afternoon.
