🇮🇹 ITA vs. 🇹🇭 THA - Highlights Week 1 | Women's VNL 2023

Set point. Mazzaro over and over again. It's right at the net. Trying to stay out of the net. Oh, that's so brutal. Three ball to Thailand. Just creating a little bit of space. That ball was blocked out and takes the first set in extra points. Now, that is why they were able to end this set because they're spreading things out. Bump back set. Nice. A C ball, if you will. Right in that gap. In the first set, we saw a lot of big sets right through the middle of the court, but this... Trouble. It's going to be a free ball to Thailand. Trying to pass down beautifully into the middle. Hanging in there before she unloads. She's bringing all the heat that she has got. Just a small gap between those two blockers, and she's able to hit it right... Up wide and Wakalor. Change of pace. Ripped. Beautifully done by Omarui. Kornpalm front court for Thailand. Just a clear kill. So clean from Aravangpalm. Powerful. In the first set, they came back to win it. Christian plays by Thailand. See if they bring heat. Oh, it's up. Pianuts. Over. You better believe it. Coming right in. Going to her. And the question is, was that on the line or not? Thailand looking to go up 2-1 in the match. Powerful. Yet again. Omarui. Pivotal point. And just like that, Italy within one lane. Now, we've seen that a lot along a lot of the rosters for the 14-person roster for this week. Trying out some younger players with a combination of vets. I know that Poland did that. The United States did that. Italy played a little bit better. What an up. Barocchiali. We're celebrating. Even a 24-piece. Barocchiali. Trouble pass. Omarui in play. Wow. Threading the needle in the middle. There was no question that ball was going outside. Still able to get it through. Huge block. And a miscommunication from Thailand almost cost him. Aggressive. And I love it. Bozio. A bit undersized. But, I mean, she can still get on top of that. Bozio. Excellent save. Another back set. Statue of Liberty set. Putting them in really good positions for her hitters to get a good attack off of. Serving. Outside. Change of pace. We'll get it done. Silva and Wakalor. Door closed. Bozio. Back. Wakalor clubs it down the line. Bozio. Wakalor. Ball in or out? Mazzaro serving. The stronger servers for Italy. Back. Block is critical. Covering. Wakalor is even better. Pianote. And another one from the outside. Statue on. Serving. Why not? Feed the kitty. She's hot right now. Good pick up by Bozio. It goes back again. And Morito. Punched. Sometimes punched will work. I hope for the best that time. I mean, back completely turned to the net. No idea who Italy outplayed. You remember the fourth set was a Thailand strong start 6-1. Now Italy at 4-1. Make it 5-1. Here we go. And they do. Or they go, sorry. Outside. Wakalor. Delivering heat. That's a no. Definitively. From Omarui. Pianote. Heavy serve. Bozio. Perfect feed. And back. Italy's been a little bit streaky. Wow. What a dig. That time from Dottorico. Big smiles from Parachiale. Match point. Italy. To close it off by Omarui. Movement on this ball. Bottom drops out of it. Just a very quick movement right at the end. Picks up. A drop.
