Little bit of brake. Low. Through you.
After a hectic start to the road trip,
Craven biking down a massive dune
and sharing a few well-deserved bushlights by the fireplace.
We woke up early the next day
and prepared to rip some epic mountain biking trails
in the hills of Beaver, Oregon.
With the perfect dirt, now was the best time
for Dusty to test out that newly-hilled shoulder
and even learn some new tricks along the way.
This was a day for the books.
Here we are, dude.
Yep.
Rain went away just in time.
Got hero dirt, so...
We are in mountain bike paradise right now.
Look at this.
That's a thing of beauty right there.
I'm safe.
I am safe.
Yes!
Oh man, that dirt.
Is something else.
I love it!
Let's go.
That was the one, baby.
That was so fun.
That was tight.
Oh my gosh.
You over that food coma yet?
I think so.
Got some more energy in the tank.
Should we get back up the hill?
May as well take advantage of the good dirt.
Sounds good to me.
Rocket power!
Let's keep going.
All right.
How the heck do you nose man it?
Little bit of brake.
Slow.
Screw you.
All right.
Old dog, new trick.
Oh, ****.
Just a little more forward and you'll start getting that traction.
I need redemption.
You're getting it this time, Dusty.
I'm learning a new trick today.
It's literally there.
It's just like you're fighting that spot where it's like connecting.
And you're like so far back still that it's not like using the...
I just actually need to like put my chest over the bars a bit.
Yeah, and like kind of like sit into it.
But just remember, anything goes wrong.
Don't squeeze.
Yeah, let go.
New trick unlocked!
Old dog, new trick.
You think you could land like this?
You're talking bananas.
You could land like that for sure.
But the no hands thing.
I was going to say the no hands...
Hold up.
The whole back of your shoe just peeled off.
And it smelled like burning rubber.
Hope you don't need these shoes the rest of the time.
You just undid it.
Oh no.
That was a costly trick.
You're good, we got gaff tape.
You know when you can just feel something hovering?
Yeah.
That was like...
That was...
Seconds.
That was like millimeters from disaster.
You might have just deleted both of us from the rest of the year with that one.
That was this close.
I'm glad we didn't.
Oh, let's get out of here.
It's only day two, let's not kill each other yet.
Let's call it.
Go have a beer by the river, be done.
Dude, I can't believe you almost killed me.
Right at the end of the day.
Good thing I had my wits about me.
Time for a beer, bud.
Bless you, sir.
Cheers.
There's nothing quite like sharing a delicious home-cooked meal with close friends and chosen family
after a long, rewarding day of mountain biking through the hills of western Oregon.
Looking forward to seeing what tomorrow brings,
but for now, it's time to open the cooler and enjoy a few bushlights for a day well spent.
Oh, Josh, thanks for having us, dude.
It's a privilege to be here with you and get to rip with Curtis.
Can't thank you enough, man.
Absolutely.
Love having you guys, this has been a lot of fun.
We're camping, riding bikes, you guys are killing it.
Super fun to have you out.
We'll catch you down the road, buddy.
