Hello, welcome back to my channel.
In this video, I'm going to...
Oh, I don't want to do that.
What should I do?
Okay, we just arrived at the camping site.
Car camping.
Today, we're going to try car camping.
Because we thought...
Last time, we tried camping with a tent.
But now, we're going to try
camping inside a car.
This place is in...
If you know the movie, James Bond, Skyfall.
This is the location.
It's around Glencoe.
We drove for about...
3 hours.
Less than 3 hours.
Tomorrow, we're planning to go hiking
in Benefis.
Because the weather is good this weekend.
So, fingers crossed.
Hopefully, we can go to Benefis.
It's still another 1 hour drive.
And the hike in Benefis will be
about 7 hours.
For now, we just arrived.
I'm going to set up my sleeping bag
and mattress behind me.
Let's go!
Oh yeah, I also want to show you...
Oh yeah, I also want to show you
the view beside our car.
It's so beautiful.
There's a waterfall.
A small waterfall.
And it's gloomy.
It's not gloomy, but there's a cloud.
It's so low.
Yeah, it's very...
dramatic.
But it's very nice and it's very Scotland.
Actually, it's sunset
in around 10-20 minutes.
Hopefully, we can set up
everything before it's dark.
Okay, we just finished setting up
our car, mattress, and sleeping bag.
But I'm pretty hungry.
It's 7 o'clock now, but it's already sunset.
It's so early because it's 7.30.
But since we're hungry, we want to eat first.
We cooked fried rice before leaving.
We can't heat it up.
Actually, we can, but it's a bit expensive.
We also brought a stove.
But that's for tomorrow.
So now, let's just eat our fried rice.
Okay, let's eat.
Yeah, it's nice.
For the fried rice, we made it
with eggs and corn.
The corn is from Malaysia.
And to save space,
we only use one Tupperware.
We're sharing both.
Let's eat.
We're going to make tea.
We're done eating
and we're going to make tea.
We're going to drink
our Genmai tea today.
Okay, we're in the car.
We brushed our teeth.
And now, we're going to
sleep.
See you tomorrow.
Good morning.
We woke up a bit too early.
We wanted to wake up at 6,
but we woke up at 8.30
because there was no sunrise.
It was very gloomy.
It was very cold.
And we didn't sleep well.
But it was fine.
Now, we're on the way to
Benefis' parking lot.
It's about an hour away.
And the hike will be around
7 hours.
Fun fact, Benefis is the highest mountain
in the UK.
Even though it's not that high,
but we'll see how hard it is
because people said it's quite steep.
It's quite easy.
It's quite easy, but steep.
So, don't compare it to the highest mountains
in Indonesia because
it will be different.
We had oatmeal for breakfast
so we won't be hungry
when we leave.
But we'll also bring Indomie
for lunch on top of the mountain.
I'll update you guys again later.
Before we go up the mountain,
we'll make Indomie first.
We'll make Indomie 4.
3 or 4?
4, I think.
Let's go.
Start of the hike. Let's go.
The total will be 17 km
and about 1300 mdpl.
We'll start at
10 past 10.
We'll see what time we'll finish.
Honestly, when we started hiking,
I was a bit disappointed because
the weather forecast said it would be sunny.
But little did I know,
there's a phenomenon
called cloud inversion.
It means that
the clouds are forming
on the lower level.
But when we're on the higher level,
the sky will be bright
and we'll be able to see the clouds
which I think is beautiful.
Nonetheless, I think it's still beautiful
even though it's cloudy.
Because it's peak autumn,
the leaves are changing color.
And yeah, it's still very pretty.
Update.
I think we're almost halfway up.
It's almost 5 km.
The elevation gain is
about 500-600 mdpl.
But I realized
that my stamina is really bad.
Because
I've been hiking for a while
and I'm tired.
But we have to catch up
because we have to get down before sunset
which is at 6 PM.
And we still have to drive 3 hours back to Edinburgh.
So, let's go!
As I said earlier,
the sky is bright
and we can see the clouds from here.
It's really beautiful.
We're having a snack.
We brought dried mango and some biscuits
because we're hungry.
At this point, I'm really tired.
I'm quite disappointed
because I thought it wouldn't be that hard.
But this year,
I didn't do much cardio.
So, my stamina is still really bad.
And this is also a reminder
that I need to do more cardio.
Also, keep in mind that
the mountains in the UK
start from 0 mdpl.
So, even though it's only 1350 mdpl,
it still feels like that
because of the elevation gain.
It's different from the mountains in Indonesia
where the starting point
is usually around 1000 mdpl.
I forgot to record
because my husband
is carrying two bags.
I'm really tired.
It's only
7 km.
I only have 1 km left.
After hiking for about 4 hours,
we finally reached
the summit.
We're at the summit.
There are quite a lot of people here.
In the UK,
it's usually marked with this small stone.
1352 mdpl.
The highest point in the UK.
We did it in around
4.5 hours.
I hope we can get down
in 3 hours.
We made it.
Let's eat Indomie.
I'm really tired.
It's not that hard,
but I don't have stamina.
I never do cardio.
I never run.
This is also
the first hike of the year,
but it's already October.
It was very tiring for me,
but not for him.
He carried the bag
because I'm tired.
But it's okay.
We finally reached the summit.
The view is really nice.
The sky is blue.
We can see some clouds.
You can see the view
down there.
It's a really nice view.
Now we're going to eat Indomie
because we haven't eaten much yet.
We only ate snacks.
Let's eat.
Indomie at the highest point in the UK.
Indomie
is usually cooked in 5 minutes
with enough water.
But it's still delicious
because I'm hungry.
Indomie is cold?
Yes, luckily it's not frozen.
When I went down,
I accidentally twisted my ankle.
My left foot was just a little bit,
but I overcompensated with my right foot
and it got worse.
I thought it only took
2 hours to go down,
but it ended up taking 4 hours.
So it was quite a long
and rough hike down.
But we made it back.
I need to give a special shoutout to my husband
because he was patient
waiting for me to pay.
He still helped me record
and carry my bag.
So big thanks to him.
Good night.
We're finally in the car.
It's 8 o'clock now.
The hike took 9.5 hours
because of my ankle,
my weakness,
and my support.
We're having a quick
drive-thru before going home.
I'm so thirsty.
We ran out of water
on the way here.
So we stopped by Lidl
to buy more water.
After this, we'll take a break.
Some of us have to drive for 3 hours.
We're home.
The ETA is at 11 past 7.
Someone has to work tomorrow.
I feel bad for him.
I'm off tomorrow.
Thank you so much for watching.
I hope you enjoyed the video.
I think I'll need to do more physical training
so my cardio can be stronger.
Maybe I'll have to start running.
Thank you so much for watching.
I'll see you in the next one.
Bye.
