The 2024 Dork in the Road Campout!

You are live and by live I mean recorded previously from the check-in booth at the 2024 Dork on the Road campout. Lil Dork, my assistant, is here doing Lil Dork things. She's on t-shirts. I am checking people in. Sign that. Will you show us the t-shirt? I attended the Dork on the Road 2024 campout and all I got was this lousy t-shirt and the hangover. Big shout out to Eric Sweet for that amazing design, that sweet design, if you will. He does all my graphic design work. He did this neck gaiter. He did the stickers I'm giving away to people. The rule is if the circle's too small and you show up with a chair, we will always make the circle wider for you. Always and forever be on the lookout for the need to make the circle wider to welcome and envelop everyone. This is the annual, so far, two years in a row, patron and channel member appreciation event where I book a bunch of campsites and people come up and motocamp and we have ourselves a great time. We're going to go riding tomorrow. This year, Lil Dork is here. We got out on a ride to Skylight Cave today. That was super fun. Let me say thank you for being here. Welcome. It is day two of the Dork in the Road campout. Last night was a fun-filled evening of Campfire Shenanigans, none of which I remember to film because I was having too much fun. So just imagine, like, 40 men and I think two women around a campfire. So anyway, I sh** my pants today. That better be in the video. That's a reference. That's Tim. Drinking and enjoying their times. Some cigars were smoked. Stories were told. Lies were repeated. Your typical campfire evening. But today, day two, the weather is a lot better. It's supposed to be cooler, less hot. That's what cooler means. I haven't had any coffee yet, obviously. But today's the group ride, so I think we're calling an audible and changing the route. All right, here we are. Group ride. I'm leading the slow group. It's like 20 people. Uh, we're headed up to the lake. You good? How did we get ahead of you? I know, it was because I took a walk. Well, I'm just looking for the rest of my group. Where's Pete? Have you seen him? Oh, there you are. Okay. I'm just glad nobody's on the ground. So we got ahead of the fast group. So we're the fast group now. We're gonna let the fast group go past and then we'll wait till the dust settles and then we'll go. Yeah, Chase led them astray. And I was like, well, I guess we're the fast group now, Chase. That's funny. Yeah, I feel kind of bad. A little tougher than I remember. Not awful though. How you doing? Good. You good for more gravel? Yeah. Okay. I'm not going to make any more promises, but I keep thinking it's better, but they changed the route. So should be a lot of this though, if I remember right. This group, I forget how big it is until I see it again. I'm like, that's got to be everybody. No, there's like five more people. I think we got most of the group. Yep. I see some remnants of the fast group even. Wonderful. Wonderful. Wonderful. Last year, I tried to lead a group up here and eight of us made it out of like 40. Uh, cause we split up. So this year we stayed together in bigger groups and I think everyone's here. So look, we're all actually at the lane. It exists. Good job. Everyone except Chase who led this group the wrong direction, but he redeemed himself. I think, I mean, I think he's here. They seem to be here. We weren't lost. We got where we're going. It doesn't, you know, you got to see more of the country. There's nothing wrong with that. Trying something new at this year's events. Mostly because I just thought of it this morning after my wife suggested it. It's what I thought of it. We're having dinner at the brewery. Gang's all here. Well, half the gang is here. The cool ones are here. The important ones are here. Holy crap. What a bunch of nerds. Oh, dorks. Yeah, we're not screwing around. The dorks have arrived. The VB40 guys aren't here. Whatever, Sean. Thank you for traveling from the campground to the restaurant and to being excellent to each other. Here we see the aftermath of two days and two nights of dorky shenanigans. Lil and I are packing up. Feeling a little delicate this morning. So it's gone slowly so far, but we'll get there. What are you drinking there, Dad? It's delicious. 100% legal. Yeah, that's not actually what it is. It's 140 proof. Wow, you couldn't tell. Yeah, I told you afterward on purpose. What a fun time. So grateful to everyone that came out and made it such a fun event. It's so easy to just enjoy it. It's just chill. Everyone's cool. Get some riding in. Get some campfire time in. Just a great kind of experience. So maybe if you want to come next year, this is a channel member and patron appreciation event.
