18-year-old Gracie Casper is turning heads with her handmade earrings. Now she teaches Aldo that crafting custom jewelry takes creativity and a steady hand.

okay you guys we're back Gracie brought
the supplies and the tools to help me
make my first pair of earrings praying I
do well show me how it's done okay so
we're going to start with this color so
really quick though I'm an Italian I
make a lot of pasta and ravioli in my
home and this is the exact tool that we
use on Christmas and Easter to make our
pasta yes and it works great for Rolling
the clay out making Shir it's all smooth
and the same size and everything my
Italian ancestors are probably looking
down from heaven right now wondering
what the heck I'm doing but we're doing
it for made by Gracie we're doing it for
the
earrings so you're going to roll it and
make sure it's all flat on the
[Music]
tile a little bit different than making
ravioli but similar
enough so we have these textured what do
you call them they're silicone textured
texture mats place and they add texture
to the clay and then we're going to use
this roller to roll the texture onto the
clay
okay let's let's start it over let's do
it again all right I'm going to give it
another shot this is why it's called
made by Gracie and not made by Alo I
like to go a couple times over just to
make sure that's all nice and
textured hey pretty good that's that's
good okay then we're going to use this
cutter to cut them out and then we're
going to pull it up and then make
another
one yeah it's very good and then we're
going to peel up the extra
clay oh wow it stays right there like
that yes it's so handy this is very
satisfying and then we're going to go
bake this in the oven at
275° for 1 hour so we got them back from
the oven peeled them off the tile let
them cool and now it is time to drill
and sand
them and you're going to go all the way
through feel like a dentist I know and
now we are going to sand the excess clay
off the edges
what's the next step we have it punched
we have it baked we have it sanded
putting in the jump rings with pliers
and then putting in the little ball post
to make them actual earrings to
wear so this is pretty intensive and you
do this for every single pair you make
so what is it like when you get a
wholesale order come through because I
imagine that's pretty daunting when like
you said you you were in that store in
Wisconsin you have to make what was it
75 80 of these how long does it take you
to complete one of those orders usually
about 3 weeks I try to cap it at 3 weeks
just to give me you know time to make
them all and a deadline for them of when
they'll have them buy so put it make
sure the the post is going this way so
the texture is on the front and we'll
speed backward earrings I think we have
a finished product very good I'm
impressed so I think these are my best
uh product that I've made on the hustle
