So, do you know what time it is?
Get ready, because it's story time!
In the previous video, we saw that Mary and Joseph traveled to Bethlehem,
where baby Jesus was born.
After his birth, they decided to stay in Bethlehem for a while,
because Jesus was still too little to travel all the way back to Nazareth.
So, Joseph found a small home for them to live in.
Far away, in distant lands, there lived three very wise men,
named Belchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar.
They were known as the wise men, or magi,
and they loved studying the stars and all the amazing things God had made.
One night, as they were looking at the sky, they saw a mysterious and beautiful star appear.
Look, a new star! We've never seen anything like it, said Belchior.
It must mean something very important.
replied Gaspar.
Maybe a great king has been born, added Balthazar excitedly.
The three wise men felt in their hearts that God was showing them a special sign.
So, they decided to follow the star and discover what it meant.
They prepared their camels and took very special gifts for the new king.
Gold to show that Jesus is the king of kings,
frankincense to represent that he is God,
and myrrh to remind us that one day he would suffer to save us.
Then, they began their long journey through the desert.
During the day, the sun was hot, and the wind blew sand everywhere.
At night, the sky sparkled like a carpet of diamonds,
and the bright star went ahead, guiding their way.
After many days and nights of traveling, they arrived in the city of Jerusalem.
There, they asked the people,
Where is the newborn king of the Jews?
We saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.
The people were curious, but no one knew the answer.
In Jerusalem, there was a king named Herod.
When Herod heard about the new king, he became worried and afraid.
He didn't want anyone to take his throne.
So, he called the wise men and said with a fake smile,
Go and find the child.
When you find him, come back and tell me so that I can worship him too.
But Herod didn't really want to worship Jesus.
He wanted to harm him.
That night, the wise men rode their camels and followed the star once again.
It shone even brighter and stopped right above a small house in Bethlehem.
The three men were filled with joy.
They knew this was the place.
When they entered the house, they saw Mary, Joseph,
and the little baby Jesus lying in a manger.
The place was simple, but full of peace.
The wise men knelt down, opened their gifts, and worshipped baby Jesus.
This is the true king.
The king of love and peace.
The savior of the world.
Mary and Joseph were deeply moved and thanked God for that special moment.
That night, after giving their gifts,
the wise men went to sleep and had a dream from God.
An angel warned them not to return to King Herod.
Because he wanted to harm the child.
So they obeyed God and went home by another road.
With hearts full of joy and faith for having found the savior.
From that day on, the world has remembered this beautiful story.
The story of the star that led three wise men to Jesus.
The savior of the world.
A little while later, an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream and said,
Joseph, get up.
Take Mary and baby Jesus and escape to Egypt.
Stay there until I tell you.
Because Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.
Joseph woke up right away.
And before sunrise, he took Mary and baby Jesus and fled to Egypt.
They stayed there safely until Herod died.
Once again, God protected Jesus and his family with great love.
Showing that nothing can stop his plans.
What we learned from this story.
God always uses everything that happens to fulfill his perfect plans.
The wise men brought gold, frankincense and myrrh.
But what pleased God the most was their faith and joy in following the star.
So the greatest gift we can give to Jesus is our heart full of love and obedience.
We also learned that the true king was not born in a rich palace, but in a simple place.
Showing us that what matters to God is not what is on the outside, but what is inside our hearts.
And when we follow God's light, just like the wise men followed the star,
he always guides us to Jesus.
That's why no matter where we are, when we seek the Lord with a sincere heart,
he shows us the right path and fills our lives with joy and hope.
He lights our way, guides our steps and teaches us the true meaning of worship.
Now that we've learned so many beautiful things from this story,
let's talk to God and thank him for sending Jesus our light.
Close your eyes, put your little hands together and repeat this prayer with all your heart.
Dear God, thank you for sending Jesus, the light of the world, our savior.
Just like the three wise men followed the star, I want to always follow the path that leads to you.
Fill my heart with faith, love, and obedience.
In Jesus' name, amen.
