in the United States federal government
[Music]
[Applause]
's United States established that the
federal government would have three
branches the legislative the executive
and the judicial these branches exist in
a system called checks and balances
which prevents any one branch from
becoming too powerful and we got a nice

now back to Gerald Ford next question is
for Claire
in order to help heal the country what
did Ford say when he became president a
the only thing we have to fear is fear
itself B four score and seven years ago
or C hour-long National nightmare is
over
um a something something
is actually incorrect let's see if
Abigail can steal it Abigail in order to
help heal the country what did Ford say
when he became president a the only
thing we have to fear is fear itself B
four score and seven years ago or C hour
long National nightmare is over
a the only thing we have to fear is fear
itself that is actually incorrect so you

answer was our long National nightmare

of war and Scandal Ford's words gave
great comfort to the American people

due to Scandal what did Ford decide to
do for him
[Music]

him many people wanted Nixon to be tried
and imprisoned for Watergate before it
felt it was important for the country to
move on from the past he decided to
pardon Nixon so that the country
wouldn't be divided even further

Vietnam war is correct although the
Vietnam War had raged under presidents
Eisenhower Kennedy Johnson and Nixon it
officially ended in 1975 under President
Ford although President Ford tried to
support America's South Vietnamese
allies Congress prevented him from doing
so South Vietnam soon collapsed in the
North Vietnamese Communists won the war

smell it it's not bad here put it there
go ahead keep your hands in the
bowling
maybe you should go vegetarian
