Some cranes are so rare and specialized that most people will never see them in action.
In this video, we'll explore the rarest special cranes you almost never see,
highlighting their lifting capacities, boom reach, and what makes each one truly extraordinary.
Number 8. The GECCO TRX-32 is a compact truck-mounted mini crane designed for extremely
tight access situations, such as factories, industrial plants, or urban construction sites.
With a lifting capacity of 3.2 tons, it performs precise lifts where larger cranes cannot operate,
making it a rare machine in crane videos. Its telescopic boom reaches 14 meters,
providing a surprising working height for its compact size. What makes it special is
its combination of strength, compact footprint, and ability to reach areas impossible for
conventional cranes. From narrow hallways to steep inclines, the crane handles jobs
most cranes simply cannot tackle. Number 7. The IAG Armored Rescue Crane Vehicle
is a highly specialized military-grade crane designed for rescue, recovery,
and heavy-duty support operations in dangerous environments. It operates in conflict zones,
disaster areas, and unstable terrains, which is why it's rarely seen outside military use.
Its lifting capacity is around 13 tons, allowing it to recover vehicles,
clear debris, and assist in tactical operations safely.
The crane features a telescopic boom of about 7.4 meters, giving it flexibility
in confined or hazardous zones. What makes it truly special is its armored hull,
run-flat tires, and integrated rescue tools, combining protection and lifting power in a
way that standard cranes cannot achieve. It's a machine built for extreme environments,
making it almost invisible in regular crane footage.
Number 6. The Colmar T10000 FSCG is a rail-mounted crane built for railway maintenance,
track construction, and infrastructure lifting, making it a rare sight outside specialized
operations. With a lifting capacity of 12.1 tons, it handles heavy rails, sleepers,
and equipment along tracks with precision. Its rail chassis ensures safe operation,
even in narrow or curved track sections. The boom extends up to 15.2 meters,
allowing long-reach work without repositioning. What makes it special is its rail-specific
mobility and stability systems, enabling operations that road or crawler cranes cannot perform.
Its rare usage and niche function make it one of the least-seen cranes in the industrial world.
Number 5. The Hydrokon RT-235, a powerful and versatile mobile crash crane proudly manufactured
in Turkey. As the country's first domestically produced mobile crane, the crane stands as a
milestone in Turkish industrial design and innovation. With a maximum lifting capacity
of 35 metric tons, this machine is built to handle heavy-duty rescue and recovery tasks,
whether on construction sites, in disaster zones, or even in military operations.
The RT-235 is equipped with a robust telescopic boom with maximum boom length of 23.5 meters,
designed for both strength and flexibility. While specific boom lengths can vary depending
on the configuration, the boom is constructed from high-tensile steel,
ensuring durability and performance under extreme pressure.
Number 4. The Spearings SK-487-AT3, also called the City Boy, is a mobile tower
crane made in the Netherlands. It has a maximum lifting capacity of 7 tons,
and can still lift 1.7 tons at its full 40-meter reach. Compact and powerful,
this crane is designed mainly for city projects where space is tight but strong lifting is required.
The crane comes with a 40-meter jib that can be luffed up to 45 degrees,
reaching a maximum lifting height of around 55 meters. Its tower can also be set at different
heights between 21 and 30 meters, giving flexibility for various job sites. With
these features, the City Boy is well-suited for both low-rise and mid-rise construction work.
Number 3. The HydroGroo KT-250 is a telescopic hydraulic truck crane and renamed for the
occasion with the acronym SAC, which is stand-alone crane that can work even after
being unhooked from the truck. This crane is equipped with a four-section telescopic main
boom. This crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 250 tons at 2-meter radius.
The maximum horizontal extension for this crane is 18 meters,
and maximum vertical extension is 20.6 meters.
The HydroGroo deals with the tailor-made production of mobile cranes of all types,
to meet every specific lifting need. The HydroGroo hydrocranes designed and built
for large capacities, such as this crane model, perform exceptional lifting under load,
and are therefore increasingly requested for very demanding jobs.
Number 2. The Todano Crevo 1000 G4 is a rough-terrain crane manufactured by Todano
for the Japanese domestic market. This crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 100 tons.
Moreover, the carrier is a compact size of the 70 tons class. Such a high lift and wide range
of work areas were achieved by the use of a single telescopic cylinder, and the first of
its kind in a domestic rough-terrain crane, as well as a self-detachable system.
The crane equipped with a telescoping system in which a single built-in hydraulic cylinder slides
within the boom, connecting each stage with boom fixing pins and sequentially feeding out the boom.
The maximum ground lift main boom is 48.7 meters, and 66.3 meters with jib,
and a maximum working radius of 44.0 meters with main boom and 56.0 meters with jib.
Number 1. The Liebherr RLK 2600 is a high-performance offshore crane developed
by Germany's largest crane manufacturer, Liebherr. This impressive crane is specifically designed
for installation on offshore platforms, FPSOs, and other marine vessels where space is limited.
Despite its compact size, it delivers a maximum lifting capacity of up to 50 tons,
making it ideal for handling heavy loads in challenging offshore environments.
The crane features an innovative ram-luffing knuckle boom design, which provides exceptional
flexibility and reach. Its working outreach can extend up to approximately 40 meters,
allowing operators to handle cargo efficiently across the deck or overboard.
The boom can fold into a compact position when not in use,
which is crucial for operations in tight deck spaces where every meter counts.
That all for today. Thanks for watching this video. See you next episode.
