Hello, hello guys. We're on another adventure. I'll see you when we get there. What a beautiful day.
And what a beautiful deckhand I have today. See you there.
All righty boys and girls, we have made it to Destination Creek. This used to be my honeyhole
two years ago. I haven't been here in two years, so let's see how we go. We got my little honey
hole setting up the pots and we're going to put some chicken in them.
I have some lovely, lovely fresh chicken from our local
legends at Lambert's that I will put in here so the wife doesn't have to touch it.
Swink, swink, swink. This one, put him in that one and I will scoot over there and chuck him in
while she continues doing what she does because she's a weapon. I'll see you when we're dunking them.
All right, we got the main system that runs in here. This is a little tributary coming off here.
We're going to hoik pot number one right there and then I'm going to start making my way back
up this system. I've done really well here in the past. If you go back into, oh it must have been
two years ago, Mud Crab Heaven I think it was called or something like that. I think we caught
30 legal crabs in a couple of hours, like it was ridiculous. So we'll see how we go today.
All right, pot number two, bombs away baby. Perfect. Pot number three.
Remember boys, buy yourselves a Ironbark crab pot spreader and look at what it can do.
We're just sitting pretty, just cruising, picking spots for me pot.
Hey, how good. You don't get a much better woman than that though. Lovely.
Nailed it. Two pots remaining.
All right, that's the lucky last pot. I did just see another pot in here
back a little way, so we're going to go for a boost. Make sure there's not too many other pots
in here and I have a couple of little honey holes. I like to put these out anyway. Come jump back
here babe and we'll go for a little boost up. Go for a little boosty boys. Kaka. Yucky ----.
All right, let's get it.
Righto, bombs away.
Gather it up, about that far, wind it, about that far again, wind it. So it should be about hip height,
a little bit less. Gather up where you're throwing from, so the front of it.
One, two, three, four. Lift it back up over your hand and then gather half the net. Turn it left babe.
We'll have a little hoyader in here.
Garfish, I think there was a mullet in there. Not bad, not bad. A couple of little snub nose.
Yeah, love them, so that'll be good. All right, so this is four way. So this part here goes up,
makes this a big loop, comes back around here and this is the main creek going this way. So we'll
cut this pot maybe in the middle here and it'll just hopefully get the scent of some crabs onto
it. And if you don't do what we did, it's like still on the line.
Yeah, beautiful crab. They are hanging around here. Hopefully they're spreading some.
We will find out. We'll put this for a little while. There we go.
Always when you're trying to do something, hey darling.
Oh, he's pretty babe. They are very beautiful fish and they're even
more beautiful on the table. You know what that is, hey? That's a burger, that's a burger.
She's got one finally. She thought I sprayed the line.
There we go. Oh, Jackie boy, lovely. He's gonna look pretty. He might be Jackie.
We got an array of different species, darling. Hold this and I'll see if he's picked his eagle.
He's 37. Do you want him? Yeah, she loves a jack burger. All right.
I'm just doing the intro here. I was just about to say the boys have got some faith. We've just
pulled up at the first spot and look, he's pricked him. I seen it just smash it through.
He's still there. You can see the right medical. Come out. He's there. Got him. He's got him.
There's some weight. Cod. Cod. Dirty old cod going back to his little snag. Soon I'll be happy.
Yeah, soon I will be happy. You'll be happy. That's your next full 30 pounds.
Lovely. First fish, two minutes. Did not take long. As soon as it, as soon as I hit the water,
here we go. Oh, well, welcome back to day two. We've got some lovely baits in here,
some lovely mullets and we're going to sit here. That's pierced both of his lips. Bottle mantle.
He is well hooked. But I did put six pots in with the wife yesterday, as you've seen,
and caught a couple of fish. And what you didn't see on film, as I was leaving,
I put a trail cam in the tree. So we will see if anyone's been in here. By the looks of it,
all the pots that were in here are in the same spot. So I'm not sure if someone's been in here,
but when we check the pots and I get the trail cam down, that will tell. But we're here to catch
a feed of Mangrove Jack. I've just got the wife, her favorite fish. We'll give him a quick measure
in a minute. I'm about to chuck the drone up in the water while we're sitting here.
So let's get it, dudes. I'll chuck the drone up in the water too.
I'll chuck the drone up in the air. Right after I'll chuck my crab measure over.
Speaking of boys and girls, have a go at this. I got a little Christmas present, an early one.
Have a go at this. So Currie is no longer going to lose his crab measure. Look at that. And look
at what it says on it. Useless something. But yeah, I've thrown two over. So let's just test it out,
eh? Let's just test it out and make sure it's actually going to hold it.
There's some, there's some run there, so I'm not going to let it go,
but it does hold it. It does hold it. There's a lot of run there. Nearly got away from me,
boys, but nearly lost the third one. All right, let's catch a fish. I'll see you up in the air.
That's all right, I'll do it, everybody's doing it.
Good jack and good finger.
That might be my best jack, bud. Have a go at this. We're getting a hold up of that.
I'm going to call in for 46. This is my best jack of 48. He's very close.
That's a good jack. All right, we'll get you a little bit closer.
Yeah, that is a small one.
All right, beautiful. We'll get him on the measure and we'll get back to you.
48. Not nearly 48. No, I think he's about, all right, like I said, 44, 46 on the board.
He's a good solid jack. He will be coming home for a burger.
Watch it go. Make yourself unstoppable.
Dreams are irresponsible, but they're always possible. If you just believe it could be so remarkable.
Thoughts in my head, a collage and they spread. I'll be great one day going off of my meds.
No, I'm not giving up. No, I'm not giving in. I'm gonna make it to the top, taking off.
I'm saving every day to taste it. I'm patient, got my mind.
Fly, be free.
Flawless, flawless release. Flawless victory. Big stick.
All righty, boys and girls, I'll fix this camera up. I'll get yous nice and straight.
We are doing the after 24 hours soak pull. So me and the wife put these pots out yesterday.
Can you see me? Yep, perfect. And we're going to see what we got.
We got six pots in, all chicken frames, fresh from Lambert's. $15 a box to get there.
Not even sponsored, but I've also got that crabbing giveaway. So if you go on to my last video,
do the code words, but if you comment on this video and what I want you to comment is
because he's on board, I want you to comment Ultimate Pro Deckhand.
So that's the code word for this, this one, and you are in the draw. We have one, two, three,
four crabs, and I think they're all too small. So they're going back, but we do have some crab.
Like I said, there was some crows in here when I put them in yesterday.
So I wasn't too confident, but we'll see how we keep going. That's only one pot.
Get rid of that one chicken frame.
Oh, he stinks. Malavision, you should all be gagging. All right, see yous at the next pot.
That don't smell good. No, no, no good. No good.
Got the Ultimate Pro Deckhand as Ultimate Pro Captain today.
Oh, that might be one, boys. That might be one. But before I smell it, I'm going to get rid of
that bait. Thank you. And we'll get that big fella out. He looks like a good crab.
I might need my special new little Christmas present down underneath you
there, Ultimate Pro Captain.
All right, he's a nice purpley one too. He is a beautiful looking crab.
I'm hooked, Captain, hooked.
Come on, bruv. I can't help you. I can't find Starling.
All right, quickly dispose of this.
Oh, that's going to be a yummy one.
Oh, good work, Ultimate Pro Captain.
Yeah, my first, second radio. And look here, we're using it for the first time, boys.
I won't hide what it says. Look at that. Easily legal. We'll get him in a crab cup.
Oh, yeah, he's got the mating cross on him. He's been rubbing up against some she-males.
Lovely. That's a yummy one. It's going to be in my tummy, yum.
Yeah, it will. I'm eating this healthy.
Yummy.
Put him down here for now, and we'll keep tracking. Let's get to the next spot.
Got a problem.
Hey.
Oh, yeah, we get to wave to the camera here.
Copy. Now, this is the spot I had the trail cam on. It doesn't look like anyone's picked
up anyway, but we'll see if anyone's come past.
To me, it doesn't look like it at all.
Good time.
Number three.
Wow, that's the money hole corner. This is the honey hole.
It's been getting bogged over.
Oh, yeah.
Yeah, Glo, we're eating shoppers on the mistletoe.
Hopefully we've got some footage on us. I hope someone has. Come and check.
No, we hope no one has, but I've got a feeling someone has.
I'll try putting the V right in that.
Hey, constructions.
I nearly lost it in the water then.
Oh, Jesus. Oh, that hurt me. I don't know if that kept us up.
We're eating it now.
Sorry, I was ******* putting us in here this time.
All right. Hello, everybody. Let's see if we have some footage when we get home. I'll see you there.
Stay back. Sorry, Rog. You're all right.
There's some running that day. Oh, yeah. Running out now.
Well, I'd rather go straight across the flat to get out of here now, sort of thing.
Oh, there's a cod in there. We got a cod and we got another legally, I think.
He looks like a goody. Get rid of that bait.
The old Capitan doesn't have to smell it.
See, them three armors, they're good, but they're a lot harder to break down if you set up.
Oh, he's on. He's touching, boys. Can I have a crab, please, son?
I'm not going to grab it. I'm going to do the old measure up.
Yeah, I might have to get one of them bottle boxes on the thing. We're about to start farting dust here.
Oh, he's a bit thirsty. Bartender not doing his job.
I'm about to start some dust. I'll go silver one.
He doesn't want to risk it. Oh, yeah, the last one I had of that made me feel a bit hookish almost.
It was a bit rough. Oh, sorry, cod. Lucky you.
Fly be free. All right, four pots down, two left, two crabs in the boat. Once we get the last pots
in, I will set the Hessian bag up, get it wet, cool them down, and I'll see you at the next spot, boys.
Beautiful driving there, Captain Ultimate Pro, Captain.
Oh, I see a jenny. Big jenny and a little block for him. That's so rough, hey? It is rough, especially when
you, I've driven an hour and a bit to get here. We've gone for 20 odd minutes in the boat
and I've set all these pots up, bought the bait, and these legends, absolute
legends, think it's all right. I think Ricky Stewart said what they are in an interview once.
Oh, yeah, what was that? Wheat gutted dogs. Yeah. So, hey, you're a wheat gutted dog kid
and you're a wheat gutted dog man. If you touch other people's pots, that's exactly what you are,
I don't care. Come at me with your comments, I don't really care. But remember, comment Ultimate
Pro Deckhand if you want to be in the giveaway, boys. All right, let's go and rescue this last pot.
Might be a bit tricky, but we'll get it. A bit of bits? You want me to go out and swing it in? Yeah, I reckon swing around.
Yeah, I can.
This one might be loaded, he might be. Oh, look at the white water out there now.
We got him. That's a donkey in there, bud. We got a donkey and a cod. Oh, well, three crabs,
not too bad, especially once the boat has been in your pot. Not too bad at all. He is a donkey. He
is a donkey, that fella. I'll pull him out and give you a look. Still got a feed for me and the daughter,
they can't explain too much.
Oh, look at him, boy. Oh my God, Cor, is that the biggest one you've ever caught? That's the biggest
one I've ever seen. Uncle Penan. Shout out to the big mug donkey. Leo, if he's going back,
I think it's swimming with crocodiles for mud crabs or something the title was,
have a laugh at that video. One of our best mates come up from down south,
down from up north, and he was an absolute blast. Anyway, we'll quickly tie this fella up.
It's as simple as one around. Oh no, we've only got one elastic band on this one.
I didn't set it up properly. We'll start again, boys. So as we were saying, it was just as easy
as one, a one, a two, a two, and a crab, crab, crab. Lovely, lovely. All right, quickly show
you what I do. Bring yourselves a hessian bag anytime you're crabbing. Trust me, best way to
keep them. Your meat stays the sweetest if you can keep them as long as you can before you cook
them. So all you want to do is dispatch them right before you cook them and you'll have the sweetest
crabs possible. Simple as put them in there. He just wet my shoes by the way, folks. I don't know
if you've seen. Lucky he doesn't have his socks on, I'll tell you that. I'm still pretty mad. Oh,
we've got a flying cod. I'm still pretty cranky. We've got a flying cod. I hope it sparks you in the
finger. It did, but unlike you, I didn't twitch about it. No, I hope it sparks you in the finger
All right, get ourselves in there. Easy, nice and wet crabs, and now we've boosted home and we have a
little bit of wild weather by the looks of it. Yeah, I can see that. The ultimate pro curry is
going to take over captaincy. I like the sound of that. And we're getting home.
Oh, we got to watch the test. The Australians are down with one wicket to go, but we'll see how we
go today. It was looking very good for us until we started batting. Yeah, now it's looking very bad
for us. It's definitely a bowler's wicket. This is Edward Starkey, the man, the legend. Seven from
what was it, 42? 46. 46, unreal, unreal. I think that was something like five mavens from nine
overs or something. You know what I can't wait to get home and find out who this legend was,
the check me pot. You're done, son. Your last crab's being caught. See us back there. Oh yeah,
this is why we're leaving, by the way. Look at it out there. Wouldn't be too pretty.
So we're leaving on a high. Straight across the flat. We stay dry.
He's trying to keep captain dry. He's punching all the water.
F**k, where are you?
Practice that in case we see him at the ramp.
Oh, did you see the little twirl, but left hand jab? Love it.
He's knocking himself out. Graceful, I'll give you a 10.5 for that one out of 100.
Oh, hello seagull. Mine, mine. Hold on, I got a bit of bait for you, brother. Hold on.
There's a dead mullet right there for you, brother. Here, come here, lad. There you go, son.
Oh, he got, oh no, I didn't even see you, lad. Now look at what I've gone and done. Here, bros.
Oh, he's greedy. He got that one too. What's wrong, bruv? Stick up for yourself, lad. Here,
I'm going to throw this right. Oh, I'll even fix it. I'll throw two. If you don't get one of these,
you're done, son. Quick. Yeah, there you go. Live long and prosper, boys. Let's get it.
I'll see yous at home, lads.
We got him up. And then, it's as simple as one, two, really tough ones. And that crab is dead.
That's just his nerves and everything. Quick, a death. So this crab's dead. That's just his
nerves. In ways, out ways, not. The clean way of doing it, say, get all that out. Half a crab
ready to go. That collar is full of meat in there. Just pin him down with your crab
hook as you've already got him. It's a spiky bit. Sorry, mate, I've got to take yours too.
Lift your flap up and rip it off. And now, he's dead. Quick as that. Quicker than doing a knife,
if you ask me. Hell, but a little bit rough today. They're going to bite you, see. I'm not scared.
Get out. Ready to cook? Shoot the iron and bark crab cooker. Yummy. We've got three beautiful,
lovely mussels. 12 minutes for a slip. I'll pop back to you when they're done. Yummy.
Simple as that. Let them drain for a second. And then, straight into a lovely little slurry here.
That will help the meat coming off the shell.
And if you're eating late too, shut that up, give it a little bit of a shake,
and that will immediately cool them and stop them from cooking. And like I said,
get the meat off the shell. Five minutes time, they'll be ready to eat. Num, num, num.
My crab's damaged for work tomorrow. Cheers on the next one, folks. Like I said,
the code word for this one is Ultimate Pro Deckhand to get into the giveaway
for the crab costume and everything else. So, I'll see you on the next one.
