Today, I just wanted to shout out what I firmly believe is the best magazine for ancient Egypt
lovers, Nile Magazine.
It's perfect for getting your fix of ancient Egypt knowledge while waiting for me to upload
another history video.
In between ten AI videos, of course.
Nile Magazine is just as informative as any academic journal out there, but about a hundred
times less boring.
And better yet, it's always full of frankly stunning pictures.
Every story gives you a unique and fascinating new glimpse at the land of the pharaohs.
For example, this latest issue describes the gold-filled burial of a mysterious forgotten
queen now lying in Scotland, and how Egyptian glass beads from 1300 BC have been found as
far north as Denmark and Brittany.
I've learned about so many facets of ancient Egypt I'd never heard of before through this magazine.
I honestly look forward to every time I get a copy of Nile in the Mail because of stories
like these.
They're a real delight to read.
Every issue also comes with news on the latest big discoveries in Egypt, which is very helpful.
A handy timeline of everything covered in that issue, because ancient Egyptian history
is massive.
And a showcase of ongoing special Egyptian exhibits from around the world.
And you don't even have to buy it right away to check some of them out.
Whole back issues and articles are available on their website for free.
Before and after I bought my subscription, it was a real joy to read them.
And you can get the latest issues of Nile in a digital format just like this.
And they also have an app.
Or in physical form, which is what I always prefer.
Either way, each new issue comes out every two months.
All in all, I give it a 10 out of 10.
It's just so easy to read, so well designed, and filled with so many different amazing
photos and illustrations of stuff that's just really remarkable.
And in case you were wondering, I was not paid by Nile to make this video, since it's
made by volunteers with a passion for ancient Egypt.
I did get a free issue though, and that's worth it to me.
