The Lumix S1 series cameras have always been known for their stabilization, but it just
got even better.
These three bodies can achieve 8 stops of 5-axis IBIS, which can handle anything that
you throw at them.
This is incredibly useful when you're using longer lenses on the system, or if you typically
run these cameras handheld.
On top of that, the S1 series has electronic image stabilization that can be toggled into
three different stabilization modes, standard, cropless, and high mode.
The e-stabilization is powerful enough to make your footage look like it was shot on
a gimbal.
These cameras also have a dedicated stabilization mode for anamorphic lenses.
Once you get used to having this powerful of an internal body stabilization, you'll
never want to go back.
And here's how you access these features.
To access the IBIS settings, you simply work your way to the second video menu, and you
select image stabilizer.
Within this menu, you can toggle your IBIS on or off, and here's where you can access
everything else as well.
You can click e-stabilization, and here you'll see your three options, cropless, standard,
and high.
Within the image stabilizer menu, you can access your boost IS, which is perfect for
static shots to make your handheld shots look like they were shot on a tripod.
And you can also access your stabilization modes for anamorphic lenses.
Image stabilization is going to be one of the most powerful tools that you'll have in
your arsenal.
