Costa Blanca is a 200 km coastline on the southeastern side of Spain with many beautiful
towns. It is really a unique scene for those who ever get to visit or leave here. We've decided
to create a top 7 places to visit in Costa Blanca, this being one of our favorite magnets of Spain,
with its charming architecture, beautiful beaches, incredible nature and stunning views.
Welcome back to Places and Trails. Don't forget to subscribe for new videos like this and let's
begin with Benidorm. Benidorm is one of the most famous tourist destinations in the entire
Mediterranean. And not in vain, since it's a place where many records have been broken.
Back in 1950s, Benidorm was just a small fishing village and, in just 10 years,
it became an impressive tourist entertainment center. It is famous for its beaches, nightlife
and for its skyscrapers. Levante and Poniente are the two main beaches of Benidorm.
Both are white and clean fine sand beaches with blue and transparent waters, a fact that makes
them receive the blue flag. They are divided by a large rock on which the balcony of the
Mediterranean is located, with its white stone balustrade and its photo viewpoint.
The shore is adorned with palm trees and bordered by a lively promenade with restaurants,
cafes and pubs. So, dear travelers, go ahead and book your stay in Benidorm now,
as it is a quite busy destination.
Alicante is the capital of the province of Alicante and is the second largest city in
the Valencian community. Being very walkable, it gives you the opportunity to spend time exploring
the streets and enjoy the architecture. The experience will pull you back in time to reflect
on Alicante's old history. Alicante is sunny all year round. The summers are hot, therefore,
the best time to visit Alicante is when it reaches its comfortable-to-be-outside temperatures,
in May and September. It is a very tourist-friendly place. Alicante's old town, Barrio de la Santa Cruz,
has a nice scene to offer. You'll see narrow streets and colored houses. There is at least
one must-visit thing in Alicante, Paseo de la Explanada, one of the most beautiful seafront
promenades in Spain. Alicante is memorable. If you are about to visit it, enjoy it.
As there is so much to see and experience in Costa Blanca, we couldn't have missed Altea,
an exceptional place, one of the most beautiful and most fascinating towns to be found in Spain.
This small town is set on a steep hill and it has these reflective views no matter where you stop.
If you park on the lower side of the town and intend to walk all the way up to the town square,
be prepared to put some effort in going up the hill as there are so many stairs to take.
You'll enjoy this white bright scenery, everywhere white houses and nicely decorated shops.
The church Nuestra Senora del Consuelo is situated up on a hill and right next to it,
there is a place where people from all over the world come for this dazzling view.
Inside the walled town, you'll find narrow cobbled streets between these glazing houses,
stairs, alleys decorated with hundreds of colorful plants and precious corners.
Altea definitely has to be in your destinations list.
Tenia is special in so many ways. It has more than 15 kilometers of blue flag awarded beaches,
it has a lot of history and architectural pieces dating back in the 11th century.
Tenia castle is the most important heritage site of the walled town of Tenia. Its walls are
dominating a hilltop overlooking Tenia, its surrounding countryside and marina.
Marina de Tenia is a sport and leisure harbor where you will see those beautiful different
sizes and kinds of boats and vessels docked by the beautiful pier. If you want to stop off for
a lunch, dinner or simply have a glass of good wine, Tenia offers his historic street Cale Loreto.
This is the famous street of Tenia that invites tourists for Mediterranean and international
gastronomic experiences. The weather in Tenia is very pleasant with mild and short winters and
hot and long summers. It is a place you can visit anytime, any season. You should come and see
yourself. Maraira, a lovely place that should be in your top sites to visit in Costa Blanca.
This sunny coastal town is impressive. What once was a small fishing village grew over time into
a flourishing seaside attraction where tourists get to taste the true Spanish spirit through its
remarkable marina, the original shops, the harborside fish restaurants and local bars.
Maraira has about 320 sunny days a year with temperatures above 20 degrees Celsius.
You will enjoy those peaceful sunny afternoons on the beach in a not too hot and not too cold
weather of Maraira. Amporia is the main beach of the town and is located next to the castle.
There is a second small beach of fine sand and clear waters called El Portet. Both beaches have
been awarded with a blue flag award for cleanliness. You'll see both luxury, modern and
traditional style villas everywhere as Maraira lies enveloped in a beauty of those nicely
maintained urbanizations within stunning surroundings. Being situated in the northern
Costa Blanca, just 100 kilometers from Valencia, Javea keeps gaining its popularity for its rich
culture and stunning natural scenery. The best time to visit Javea is May, June and September
as the temperatures these months are perfect for both walks and sunbathing. Javea has three
districts, the Arenal, a sandy beach with restaurants and bars, the Old Town which is a
beautiful maze of narrow alleys on the hill located at two kilometers from the sea, and the
Marina where you can see new and old buildings along with lovely restaurants with beautiful
Mediterranean view populated by the boats from the port. Today Javea is one of the most international
towns in Spain. The foreign population here is about 50 percent. Javea is an attractive destination
with a lot to offer. We fell in love with this town so it took a strong place here in our top.
What makes Calpe so unique? Well, it has everything. Culture, traditions, mountains, hills, sea, gorgeous
sandy beaches and these clean transparent waters that are just begging you to dive in. This resort
is not only a hot holiday destination for tourists but also an everyday lifestyle for locals, a home.
You'll see people having their wine or beer in the middle of the day enjoying the sun. It is such a
laid-back and calm vibe here that you can always hear the birds and feel the nature in the middle
of the town. The promenade is aligned with bars and restaurants that offer a big variation of cuisine.
As you amble on the shore you'll see the Ifauch Rock, the big magnet of Calpe that attracts
millions of tourists every year. The rock separates two beaches, La Fossa beach in the north and
Arenal beach on the south side. Both very busy in the summer as well as on holidays. Calpe is a
privileged enclave located near the clean and tranquil waters of the Mediterranean. Don't
