Our next skater represents Croatia, Paula Casdar.
Paula, 21st in the short program, had complete rotation,
full complete rotation in all the jumps that she performed in the short program.
Her score as she gets to her start position is in close contention,
which is less than a point between her and the three above her.
She's 14 years old, and she takes her starting position.
She'll skate to light of seven from the Game of Thrones.
Paula Casdar.
Croatia's Paula Casdar completes her Game of Thrones free skate,
and she has presumed inhabiting the role of Arya Stark in the film.
And what an amazing costume, I have to say.
I know that that's not the most important thing, but the costume is really well on point.
We have been talking a little bit more about it, that's for sure.
And she certainly opened up with a beautiful triple lutz.
Yeah.
It was amazing.
So as we, you know, the theme continues, the skaters in the early groups
and now in the middle groups are delivering some great technical elements,
like that triple lutz there.
I love that we can see the skaters looking at the ice
because they know the significance of what the rotation is.
Yeah, there's the triple flip.
And she looks down at it.
Not a lot of flow in the landing, so it's sort of hooking around the corner,
and that'll be the triple toe loop.
Gets the free leg back in time up in the double toe.
So there's certainly some minus GOEs, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 jumps are in the minus GOEs.
So, you know, a landing like that, although she stood up and got it,
she'll get a base value minus the quality reductions.
Yeah, and for Paula, it's a good drive and lift up into the sacro-toe.
I just, maybe in some of the subsequent replays,
we'll just see the skaters' length of push and how much ice coverage they have
because Paula's coming in in the 5 out of 10 range for the skating skills.
And she will be then, hopefully, as her coach, Jelena Gapsevic, joins her in the kiss and cry,
we'll be watching the likes of Elisa Lengelova,
who will have greater glide and greater flow.
So Paula, you know, endeavouring then moving forward to ensure that she covers ice with more flow.
But a young skater, 14 here, at this stage, with all that,
as she grows, matures, 15, 16, 17,
she's going to develop those skating skills and the connection with the music much better
because she's already ahead of the game, or at least on course, technically.
Take a look at the free program, 75.76 is her season's best,
and this is a new season's best, and she goes woo!
With an 85.76 for Paula Kazdar from Croatia,
that puts her second in the free program with a total score of 128.78
as she takes the lead.
Wow. That's great. Big smile.
Lots of pride back at home.
Those watching, and the coach here as well.
