St. Louis, say something to him!
Salty!
Exactly to game plan for this 23-year-old.
Here's the replay as we await the numbers to come in.
Half the score for the Bulls' performance,
the other half for the Bull Rider.
How about 85 and three-quarters!
By the name of Rafael dos Santos.
That got ugly quick!
That has happened far too often over the last few months.
Oh, can I see the replay?
Bull feeling like he's seeing triple out there.
I think so.
And look it back at it, yeah.
Let's just go ahead and do this really quick.
Watching this replay, he takes a shot.
Ouch.
And dos Santos.
Maybe you didn't hear me.
I said he's a Kansas City outlaw.
His name is Wyatt Rogers.
He's on shivers.
Oh, look at him.
Yo!
So you want to be a Bull Rider?
Yep.
Hey, real quick, real quick.
This just in, I just heard this gentleman
about seven rows behind us
call it, and it's official.
It is a re-ride for Wyatt Rogers.
We're going to get to see him a little.
Thank you, sir.
Thank you for the update.
Oh, and going down in the red flags.
Right there, you can see them.
When you see those,
for all of the first-timers,
that means the officials
are going to give him another bull.
You saw that bull stumbling.
And there you go.
So Wyatt, he's warmed up.
We'll see him back in just a bit.
6, 5, 4, 3.
And here we go.
And DeSouza with the go-ahead aid.
And now, now the numbers coming in.
Remember Brady Randolph
right now in the lead,
85.75 points.
And he is not going to do that.
He's going to get 82 points tonight.
But he is going to get on the board,
and we talked about it
being a short weekend.
You've got to make something happen
today and tomorrow
in order to have a chance
here this weekend.
Yeah, I mean, listen.
Get out of here tonight with a win.
Get a score on the board.
It is critical.
If you want to walk out of here tomorrow.
Branson, your mic's on.
Hey, can I get two ultras?
A little nurse.
Thanks, man.
Wait, aren't you...
Never mind.
Wait, did you really...
Really are...
He really just stopped the show
to go grab a cold one.
Oh, oh, oh.
He's pandering to the CEO of the PBR.
Oh, and country music superstar
Dustin Lynch
in the house with us tonight.
Yeah.
50% of the time
they get by this one.
Can he do it today?
Missouri, let's help him.
Come on.
Yeah.
JLC gets it done.
Fantastic.
And he gets after it for 84 points.
That is good enough to slide him
into the top three right now
within striking distance.
Yeah, and when we get off
into the latter parts of this round,
I mean, this is gonna change right here.
We could raise some eyebrows here today.
Agreed.
Dovino.
Yeah.
Like a windmill.
Look at that.
There's a good look at him.
There's a good look at Lucas Dovino.
All right, Eduardo.
Let's show these people
what you're made of.
Be the man.
Be it.
Get there.
False.
I don't know what you're watching,
but that was fun, fun, fun.
What a ride.
Remember, he needs to beat 86 points
and take the lead.
Matt, what are the numbers?
88.25
And just like that,
Team Cooper Tires
takes the lead here tonight
in the veteran.
Eduardo, smile a little bit, buddy.
You're the leader in St. Louis.
2018 Rookie of the Year
in a fantastic bull called Skippy.
Get there, KW.
He's in trouble.
That's uncalled for, folks.
We can say it all night long,
and it still won't be enough.
Watch this replay.
Great thing about Keyshawn Whitehorse.
He's going to give it
1,000% every time,
but so are these bullfighters.
Look at Nathan Harp
trying to get Keyshawn out of the way,
and look what happens.
He pays for it.
He's smashed up against the shark cage.
You cannot get loud enough.
He's going to try to get
his knee brace and his pants back on.
We're going to try to show him
how much we appreciate him.
How about it for Nathan Harp,
Cody Western, Lucas Tito.
Nice.
And now, and by the way,
both of them are here in Missouri.
Come on, Tyler.
Get it.
Help him.
A whoop.
Look, you got to give him some love.
You got to give him something
for the heart and the effort.
I know he doesn't want to see this again,
but they're going to put it
under an official review,
and watch this.
What happens
when you put out maximum effort,
you take the risk
of something happening like this.
He opens up to show dominance,
and watch that helmet.
Yeah, we're going to see it.
They're going to go back
and look right here, Matt, first.
Even after the ride
is what I'm talking about.
I mean, he takes a couple of shots
after the 8 seconds.
He gets smacked
into the buck and shoot helmet first.
I mean, this guy,
we completely underestimate
the toughness of Kyler Oliver
no matter how great you think he is.
Look at this.
Yeah, now watch that free arm.
Oh, and the fans are reacting,
and the reason that they are
is because they are correct.
It is a no score.
Touch the bull
with that free arm.
This bull's been down there before,
never been ridden,
but he's never had
a guy like Daylon on him.
You said it.
Never had a guy like the world champ.
I mean, it's a game changer.
Bull was 4-0 coming in here,
young bull,
and Daylon said,
Yep, I'll take that.
How about 84 and 3 quarter points?
84 and 3 quarters
and now Swearingen.
Brady Fielder,
the Aussie right here,
and Fielder delivers.
Oh, getting the old worm turn right there.
Oh, man,
and the numbers are in for Fielder.
How about 86 points?
86.
Put him in a tie.
They're 2nd and 3rd right now,
still with the 88 and a quarter on top.
Sky's the limit.
Jane Clark,G.Knowen.
Yeah, get his attention.
Lucas,Teodora,Cody Webster,Nathan Harp.
Hey, fans,
how about the work
of our U.S. Border Patrol
bullfighters down there?
Good job, men.
Handling business.
Man did finish number 2
in the team's MVP race.
He's a Kansas City outlaw,
but he is a superstar,
and Diaz dances his way
to 8 seconds,
and as we watch this replay,
take a look at the dominating performance
Diaz puts together.
Look at this.
He's gonna open up with that left foot.
He's gonna show.
Look at this.
I'm in total control,
and I'm climbing the ladder.
How about the score?
87.5.
That's good enough for 2nd place
in St. Louis so far.
He better bring his A game.
Here we go.
Great job, Cody Webster.
I concur.
Great job, Webster.
Getting in there
and putting some distance
between Edge Nealio and that bull,
and watch this again.
Another gutsy performance.
Edge Nealio trying to grid it out.
Got in a little bit of trouble there.
Sets back up,
but about 7 1⁄2 seconds,
things start to go south in a hurry,
and look at Web.
Here we go.
Great shot.
Not bad, LT.
Not bad.
Camping World.
Say something to the Steel Field native.
What an effort tonight.
Bob Mitchell replay back.
Numbers in.
86 points.
86.
And Bob in perfect position
going in to championship Sunday, man.
If he could pull off a win tomorrow afternoon
right here in St. Louis.
Can you imagine?
These fans will go nuts.
He will head to Las Vegas
and chase that eighth gold buckle
in Pro Rodeo,
but he's here tonight.
Sage.
St. Louis is going to help you.
Let's get it.
There you go.
Missouri, what did you think about that?
It worked out better
because it kind of tossed it away.
The guy is an amazing world class talent.
Could put together a Ph.D. program
in bull riding.
Sage coming in here.
And how about 86 points?
86 for Kimsey.
He's going to just keep chipping away.
He is arguably the greatest of all time.
Can he keep it going?
That's stellar.
Watch this replay back right here.
My goodness.
This guy is so great.
This bull had bucked him off
when we were in Nashville, Tennessee
back I believe it was August or September.
And he just steps off, says,
Hey, no problem.
How about 86 and a quarter?
The number one man this season
is down early.
And that, my friends,
is how quickly the tide can turn in this sport.
Boy, the number one man coming in
gets rocked right here
at the closing moments.
Yeah, look at that shot.
And Bunch denied.
And a no score.
And that, an interesting turn of events.
And the winner of round number one,
PBR St. Louis,
it is Eduardo Aparicio.
He's a small compact guy
that's really strong.
Miller time away from his hand.
Not only tosses him,
but then runs him over.
As Tiago takes a couple shots.
And if we get to watch this back right here,
you're going to see his hand come out of the rope.
Bulls like that,
leaving away from your hand,
there's a lot of power.
You'll see him get snatched on right there
and get thrown way up in the air.
And that's not where you want to be.
Pretty sketchy situation.
Some hang time from Miller time.
Ooh, that was a rough,
not only landing,
but then again,
the bull right there had him in his sights.
Clear that Tiago's hobbling back to sports medicine.
And much like the bullfighter,
sports medicine never not busy
on a PBR weekend.
Also the work ethic.
You've got to work at it here.
We're going to take a look at this,
but it does show as a qualified ride out on the dirt,
which is good news for Dalton.
You can bet that the replay judge
will make sure it stays a qualified ride,
but against Pearl Snaps,
it looks as though Dalton was able
to snap himself back into attention.
Guess what?
They're not going to review it.
88 and 3 quarters.
Let's take a look back
on the K&M cage cam right here.
This is huge.
I mean,
I don't care how many points he has,
even though he's 88 and 3 quarters.
That's awesome.
The big thing is
he got a score right here on the board
and he's got out of the slump.
You know,
this is what you're looking for.
88 and 3 quarters.
Take the lead.
That's what Dalton Cass
has been needing right there.
Yeah,
not only well-earned,
but a lot of people would say
well-deserved for Dalton
as he absolutely put yesterday behind him
and in the present,
he is currently our overall leader
off the strength of that one ride.
That's a sign of a veteran bull rider right there,
being able to claw through the ups and downs
and come out of it on top.
Back to riding away from his hand.
There's the 9.
Spooky.
As intimidating as he wanted to be.
And Swearingen is going to be
a full bull ahead of the house.
He's now 2 for 2.
The other guys in the locker room
better look out
because if he gets on a heater,
he's going to be tough to beat.
This guy's a lot like Jose
in the fact that when a bull
does turn back into his hand,
he's able to let go of his outside leg
and get the points out of him.
Not the two biggest scores on the weekend,
but he is a full bull ahead
and he's going to have a good chance
of picking a good bull in the short round.
There's no question
he's going to be in the championship round
as he's made his way to Kate.
Dylan,well done.
Conversation in the locker room.
You're riding a lot like
your world championship year.
Is that how it feels?
Yeah,that's how it feels.
I've just been really working on
getting my body feeling good
and just thankful and blessed to be here.
What has been the key?
What is that workout like
that allows for these big rides?
You know,
I kind of got to move it around
to kind of see how I feel on the weekend,
but,
but yeah.
They're throwing you off here in the arena
talking about your haircut right now.
I'm getting sidetracked.
I like my haircut.
That's all that matters anyways.
Good ride.
Yes, ma'am. Thank you.
Good stuff for you here, Craig.
Yeah, Kate, you ended that perfectly.
The fact that he likes it
is all that matters.
Coming up,
we've got two world champions
waiting in the wings
along with a young man
many predict has gold in his future.
Well, we're not going to get
a lot of time to talk about
Wyatt right here,
but this is an unorthodox riding style
that gets by a lot of ranked bulls,
and he's a slack rider.
Here he is.
Got him stuck on the end of his arm.
Hey, hey, hey, hey.
Yeah, Webb was right.
An unorthodox style, Coop.
I know you can break it down,
but to my naked eye,
he really lets that free arm come up high.
He does, you know,
and it can cause a lot of havoc
whenever you're whipping
that free arm around.
You can whip your hips out,
which is what he's going to
essentially do right here.
The simpler you can make this
and the smaller you can stay
on the back of a bull,
usually the better it goes.
And whipping your free arm around,
you're going to see it
whip his hips out
right about this next round right here.
And being a bigger guy,
the smaller you've got to be.
Well, you're mentioning big and small,
and he's tried to get smaller,
hasn't he?
He's lost a bunch of weight lately.
He has.
He's put a lot of work into it,
and, you know, it's paid off.
You know, last weekend in Tucson,
he got two bulls down,
so making some headway there.
Riding well.
There is no stopping Ednelio
as he continues to tear through the bull ranks.
He gets the qualified right here
that should help him have a chance
at that championship round.
Good for him.
You know, this is a guy,
you talk about work ethic
and the guys that want to put the work in.
This guy puts a ton of work in the gym
and isn't scared to get on practice bulls.
Right here, gets a little bit out of shape,
never gives up, finds the middle,
87 points.
Great job.
Yeah, that 87 points critical
because there have been a number of riders
at 86 or 86 and change,
so that will move Ednelio
all the way up to fifth overall in the event.
Two-time PBR World Champ
Joseph Vitorleme, there he is.
He will not be suiting up for round two,
which means he's done for the event.
Needs 85.75 to lead the event.
That is the definition of a veteran
and a veteran bull ride.
No problem at all for Sage.
And we should see a new leader.
He didn't get those gold buckles for nothing
and he's trying to get one over here.
One thing I want to highlight,
if we get to see it,
watch his left knee on the back of this bull.
It's almost over the back of the bull
about three or four seconds here
and he just keeps going at it
like it's nothing.
We'll keep going right here.
He's in great position,
doing what Sage Kempsey does.
Look at his knee right there.
It's sitting on his bull rope.
If we can go to this,
look right here.
That's good stuff right there.
That's the sign of a world champion bull ride
and a veteran right there.
Good stuff.
And as you parse that score,
half remember from the rider,
half from the bull,
the ROV two and a half,
you're always going to see the veterans
or the very good riders
have a high ROV just like Sage had.
I was really impressed with him last night too
on a bull that was hard to get by.
But almost immediately,
head looking off to the side
and you don't have to be a bull riding expert
to know your body usually follows where you're looking.
Not the way you want to start out
your second round right here,
especially after the way last night went.
You'll see right here,
this bull's going to take a weird jump
and set it up.
But what you're going to see
is his eyes right here.
And wherever your eyes are,
that's where your body's going to go.
Going forward here,
he's still looking over there to the right.
That's where initially,
that's where he's going to end up.
I mean,
got to stay focused on the back of these bulls.
Edwardo won four different rounds last season,
so coming back and winning his first one of 2024
was a great sign.
He still should have enough
to make it back to the championship round
with a decent pick.
Yeah, there's the clock again.
Against the watchman,
hunted down,
tried to go in reverse direction,
but there is no stopping time
against Casio
as he's going to move to the front.
Direction doesn't matter
to this little guy right here.
He can ride him either way,
and I was wrong for betting against him,
I guess,
because he's going to prove me wrong.
Right here,
you're going to see this bull come out,
and he's going to fake to the right,
give him a little look,
and he picks him up perfectly
away from his hand.
Stay small,
stay square,
86 and a quarter,
take the overall lead.
That's going to move him
ahead of Sage Kimsey
and Dalen Swearengen,
the only other men
who are a perfect two,
and it's setting up
to be another exceptional
championship round.
He's got a rematch again,
a good one against Moonlight Party,
and Campos is going to get it done
for the second time
aboard Moonlight Party.
When they met at last year's
world finals,
they were 89 and a half,
and this one was
very, very solid.
Really good bull ride right here
in control throughout the whole ride.
As we go throughout the ride,
gets closer to the whistle,
he starts letting go
of that outside foot,
showing the judges,
I am in control.
88 and three quarters.
Split the lead right here
for the round.
Great bull ride.
Look at the R.O.B.
Yeah, that R.O.B.
of three and a quarter.
Great job there.
There's your analyst genes
coming out right there, Coop.
Nice job.
He's showing the judges
that he is in control right here.
Look at him lifting that leg,
getting every point out of that bull.
Well, it's going to be the R.O.B.
that helped move him ahead
of Dalen Swearengen
and just behind Sage Kimsey
as he slots into third overall.
This bull's got his head down.
He's looking to get his head up.
He's going to take him anyway.
That's why I wanted him
to get his head up.
Boy, oh boy.
That became a five-second example
of why you may not want to become
a bull rider.
Dose you down
did his best to take down Vieira.
Going back to the shoot procedure,
he wanted him to get that bull's head up,
and when a bull's got his head down like this,
he can't see clearly
how to get out of there.
So when he takes that first jump,
he's a little bit lost himself,
runs him right back
into that chute right there.
Man, that's scary.
I mean, look.
Credit the athleticism for both Vieira
and Dose You Down
how they each came out of that
relatively unscathed.
Look at that vertical.
All I can say is
J.R.V. is one tough guy.
Yeah, you're not supposed to be
pressed against the steel completely
in that position.
And Joao looks
pretty darn good.
He'll get his re-ride opportunity.
Yeah, he's only got five seconds left.
He's trying to get over the front end,
and there is the nod.
Gives him credit.
Great report by Kate and Rosetta
with the follow-through
as with his left hand,
he gets a qualified ride.
I believe from now on,
I just put my left hand down every time.
Hey, by the way,
not just any ride.
Eighty-seven and three quarters.
Eighty-seven and three quarters
and worth every point.
This is a great ride right here.
This bull is really
kind of pushing back on that front end.
We get a guy down in most situations,
but he never gives up.
And that's a great bull ride
for that guy right there.
Kudos to Rosetta
as he comes through.
The ambidextrous bull rider
is not only on the board,
but all the way up to seventh overall.
Here we go.
Oh!
Well, look,
the judges thought they saw a touch,
and that's what I reacted to
was I thought he got popped.
But if it isn't
with any part of his free arm
and it's just his face,
that shouldn't stop the clock.
He definitely hit him
with his face right here,
but we're going to see
if he comes down with that free arm.
Right here.
It does look like
the free arm touched the horn,
doesn't it?
It's got to be conclusive.
Alan Jordan, a replay judge,
and he always goes
through the replay center.
He'll take a look at this,
and if that left arm comes down
and touches any part of the bull,
I mean, that's...
And it's going to be a zero
as that touch
at one and change
definitely stays,
but credit Fielder
for basically riding through, right,
and still putting out the effort.
Yeah, you know
when you come down
with that free hand
and you touch the bull,
so credit him
for going through
and knowing it was
just going to be a practice
but still going through
with it anyway, so...
Dos Santos more than happy
to take Frank to the right.
Before he originally
tried to leave the chutes,
we highlighted the fact
that if a bull goes to the right,
Dos Santos can go into lockdown.
Yeah, this was
the best-case scenario right here.
Bull just turns back,
has a nice day,
right there to the right.
I say a nice day.
Ninety points right there.
ROB is quite a bit higher, too.
Great ride for him.
Yeah, 90 points on the board
is going to move Dos Santos
to the lead in the round,
and it's going to move him
all the way up to fifth overall.
So just like that,
Dos Santos feeling good
about his chances in St. Louis.
That goes back to getting
every point out of the bull
that you can get.
Great for him. Great job.
This is Joe Alricard of Vienna.
His re-ride aboard AHL.
If Joe Al has a grip tonight,
as we've said over the years,
it is bulls away from his hand,
and as AHL kept moving to the right,
it was almost like
it started happening
in slow motion, didn't it?
It did, you know,
and like you said,
if he's got any weakness
in his ride,
it's bulls that go right,
and I know that he was excited
about the first one that he had,
and you see things
just start loosening up
as his bull turns back to the right,
but look at the bullfighters right here
get into a sequence
and work with each other.
To me,
that never gets old
seeing how good those guys
work together.
Yeah, I know you're right
to highlight that dance
that the bullfighters have.
Their reactions are incredible,
and not just one time
any given night.
It's multiple times.
Sometimes, like today,
it'll be over,
obviously,
almost losing your leg
as the clock continues to tick.
Here's Randolph.
Very speedy
and a very successful ride
for Randolph
as he is now two for two.
Really great bull ride right here.
You'll see this bull fake left,
but he doesn't take the bait.
Brady Randolph is a guy
that is coming into his own.
He's not relying so much
on just the bull's pattern.
He's picking them up as they buck.
He's letting them buck underneath him
and then following them around there,
and he's aggressive
with his outside foot right here.
Brady Randolph
is a force to be reckoned with.
87.25,
and that will be good enough
to tie him with Sage Kimsey
for second overall.
The excitement was evident
and palpable from Randolph
and rightly so
as he is now,
after missing the first event in Tucson,
squarely in the running
for an event win here in St. Louis.
This bull's no day off.
He's going to be really tricky.
Round to the left right here.
Yep.
Meet the moment
as here in front of this crowd,
he works towards another 8,
and it's 88.25.
He has moved to the overall lead.
Worth every single point, too.
This is the Bob Mitchell
that I love to see.
I've said it time and time again.
Bob rides the bulls
that nobody else gets along with,
and that's a prime example
of it right there,
and that's why that's the number one guy
in the event.
Great job, Bob.
Bob Mitchell
taking it all in.
Let's send it back down to Kate.
Taking a moment to take it all in.
We'll follow him
as he takes his helmet off.
You talked about how special it is
riding in front of this crowd,
but it's a whole different feeling
winning in front of this crowd.
What do you make of this moment?
I've got to thank the good Lord, man.
I mean, this ain't me doing it.
I mean, you just...
It takes a lot of time, preparation.
Got to put the work in.
The good Lord will guide your path.
All glory to Him.
One to go.
Best of luck coming up.
Thank you, ma'am.
Craig.
Better pick in the short round.
De Sosa does his job,
and even though Blood Moon
kind of trailed off
and stayed in the straight line at the end,
this will be a second score.
I wouldn't expect De Sosa
to do anything but what he's doing,
which is celebrate.
A lot of times these bulls
that don't get rowed very far,
they kind of get lost out there.
They're like, well, normally
I get the guy on the ground at this point,
but he's going to get a score.
He's going to get a second one down,
and he's going to get back
to the short round on that one.
Yeah, he becomes the seventh man
to enter the championship round
two for two,
so that's going to mean
the possibilities of who wins St. Louis
are still wide open.
And I think what's happening, right,
it looks like they may be off.
Yeah, they were going to offer him a re-ride,
and that's kind of what I was hinting at
with my word choice,
that you had to figure
he was going to turn that down.
Yeah, he would turn that one down.
That means he keeps the 80 and three quarters.
He becomes the seventh perfect cowboy
in our championship round.
Probably my favorite bull on tour.
Tough to get by,
but he may have lost a little bit of a step,
made him a little more rider-friendly.
Edwardo Leggett
finally settled into that right-handed spin,
which fast Eddie was able to slow down
and take jump for jump.
He's got a second score,
88 and three quarters.
Big stuff from Eddie right here.
You know, this bull's got a huge first jump.
Eddie doesn't panic.
That's a veteran move right there,
picks the bull up,
rides him jump for jump after that,
and just like Patton for a dance,
never gets too far ahead of him
on a bull that doesn't get rode very often.
That is career ride 365 for a Parasito,
and that's going to move him
to the number one position.
That's big stuff right there.
You know, whenever you can step up
in a pressure pack situation like that,
knock one down
and give yourself a chance to win it,
can't ask for anything more than that.
Guys don't really get by very often.
Dawson's not scared of him.
He's not scared of anything,
and it's going to show.
Instead,Castle crumbles quickly
as that one only goes two.
It'll be interesting to see
who put the judges.
Wow,how about 46.5?
It could have been
a little bit more than that.
Watch how hard this bull kicks.
I mean, this is incredible to me.
He's going to come up
in his front end right here,
and he's going to kick the lights out,
and his back actually hits Dalton right there,
and,man,that's just so cool
to see a bull with that athletic.
Proving why he's one of the
Yeti top bulls in the world.
Man-hater yet again,
and Castle can only wonder,
but it wasn't meant to be today.
Ridden only one out of 58 career outs.
It was there for the taking.
Dos Santos was perfectly placed
for 6.5 seconds.
So close,
and it wasn't for a lack of try right here.
This little guy's giving it
everything he's got,
and I think he just got
a little bit too excited right there
and knew that the whistle was coming.
I mean,he's in perfect shape
around the corner.
He's in perfect shape
throughout the ride.
He's riding him jump for jump,
but then you see him just
make a big move over there,
and the bull winds out just a touch,
and that's why that bull
doesn't get rid very much.
He's smart, and there were no tricks.
He just got him down.
What an incredible record for Nighthawk.
Now 59-1 all last year
during the Unleashed Beast.
Flyin' Wired is going to win this duel.
That's got to be disheartening for Daylin.
I know he was excited about that one,
and,you know,a bull that he should ride,
but you'll see this bull
kind of take a jump out of there,
and when he kind of pushes back right here,
Daylin loses all the weight on his feet,
and it's hard to make a move like that
when you don't have anything going on
with your hips down.
Everything's upper body,
and it's just kind of hanging off
from that point,
so he'll want that one back.
I bet we see a rematch in the future.
Well,and for Flyin' Wired,
another good bull score, 45,
so that's only going to solidify his cause
in those Yeti World bull standings.
Now down to 10 seconds,
and there's the nod.
I tell you what.
We saw De Sosa
decline the re-ride option in round 2.
I think he,
even if there is a re-ride flag,
which there is not,
he wouldn't be taking it.
What an effort from Allen.
We're being told
it is now being reviewed for time,
so it ends up being Allen versus Allen.
Allen Jordan,
the replay judge versus...
You see right here,
this bull's throwing the kitchen sink at him.
He's changing it up
just about every jump,
and like I said,
there's no pattern to this bull,
so everything that you do,
you have to be matching him move for move,
and it's hard to match a bull like that
that's moving so much in his front end
and has so much kick.
It looks like it's the touch
right before the 8-second mark
that Allen Jordan is really reviewing.
Before he popped up in the air,
and I think it's...
From that angle,
it looks like we're headed towards no score.
They may go to a hand time.
I think it's going to be a score.
Well,Allen DeSouza is our new leader.
He is a perfect 3 for 3.
89 points right there,
88 and a half.
You don't...
From the eye,
from the average eye,
you really don't know
how to mark that bull,
because you're not used to
seeing one like that anymore.
He's such an old school
type of bucking bull,
and for the judges
to get one like that right,
I think that's awesome.
On the clock.
It paid off in round 2,
and it pays off in the championship round.
The switch hitter finds success again.
Rosetto 2 for 2 on the day.
Great ride right here by Rosetto.
This is exactly what the doctor ordered,
into his hand,
88 and a half points,
and like I said earlier,
if I was him,
I'd keep putting my left hand down,
because if you're knocking him down like this,
there's no reason to switch it up.
Great job.
He's awarded 88 and a half,
or better yet,
he earned 88 and a half points
aboard Tijuana Two-Step.
Quite the dance,
as the lefty slash righty
slash pick your hand
you want to ride with.
Rosetto goes 2 for 2,
and it moves him
into third overall.
Meanwhile...
Yeah, this bull's got some tricks
up his sleeve.
He can be a little bit in and out.
Sage is not a world champion
for nothing though.
Off campus,
goes a little off kilter,
and that gets Simji off early.
Yeah.
You'll see Sage right here.
He's doing everything he can
to keep this bull gathered up,
and he's really disappointed
in himself right now,
because he's got him
gathered up to this point.
This bull's not really doing
a whole lot to help him.
Stepping ahead,
and he's probably getting close
to having a re-ride
right there on this one,
and he's probably going to want
that first bull he had back.
Yeah.
Yeah, you can see
Sage has got that look
like he definitely foresaw
that going differently.
That's going to bring up
Casio Diaz,
who had one pick better
in the draft than Sage did,
and won disqualification.
This is our new leader
taking all the momentum away
from Mike's motive
and making it his own.
This guy's amazing to me.
Stepping up in a big-time situation,
doesn't let the pressure get to him,
and rides lights out.
90.5 points right there.
This guy, man, he's really coming in,
and he's solidifying his chance
for a world title race right here.
That 90.5 just showcases
two weeks of work
where he is now a perfect 6 for 6
to start the year.
Never out of position.
Keeps up with his bull.
His bull's changing it up
on his front end.
Casio never panics.
This guy is a young, talented guy
riding as a rookie
but making some veteran moves
out there.
The average ride score
on Smokestack is over 91.
And it was just not meant to be.
So it is Casio Diaz
who shows off his skills
in the show-me state
and takes home
his first career win in St. Louis.
Casio, congratulations.
You grew up riding bulls
with your dad and uncles in Brazil
dreaming of this day.
This day is here.
What do you make of it?
You grew up riding bulls
with your dad and uncles in Brazil
dreaming of this day.
How do you feel about this day?
I don't believe it.
I thank God first.
It's a dream come true.
It's the first step I've taken from PBR.
I've been battling a lot.
And this shows the fruit of my work
and my effort
to be here among the best
and competing with these bulls
who are the best in the world.
It's just hard to believe
it's a dream come true for me.
And that shows how much my hard work
and everything I put in day by day
it's paid off
and just being here
between the best in the world.
And now you can go do your dance
you do every time.
Congratulations, Casio.
Thank you.
