Hi everyone! I really appreciate you guys for tuning in. Hope you enjoy this one! This one's on the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra. It's my first time owning this particular model. It is a huge improvement from the previous.
Hey everyone! Welcome back to Matt is Always On Time,
a channel where I talk about watches I love and enjoy.
And today, I'll be talking about the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 41 in green.
It's a little difficult to capture the vibrance and the beauty of the dial
with this cheap lighting setup of mine, but I assure you,
it is stunning. More on the dial later. Let's start off with some hard facts.
The case size of this watch is 41 millimeters with a thickness of 13.2 millimeters.
It has a lug-to-lug of 47.9 millimeters and a lug width of 20 millimeters.
The bracelet tapers to 18 millimeters. It's fairly noticeable if you ask me.
It also has polished center links which gives it a classy and elegant look.
The only downside is it's a scratch magnet.
Oh, and this bracelet doesn't have on-the-fly adjustment.
Lucky for me, the watch fits the wrist quite nicely.
Now, one of the standout features here is the green dial.
The dial has a teak pattern which is inspired by the wooden decks of sailboats.
It has a sunburst finish to it as well, adding more depth and character to an already eye-catching
theme. The Omega text, logo, and the hour markers are all applied.
This brings me so much satisfaction when I stare at the dial from every angle.
The date window can be found at six o'clock, giving a symmetrical look to the dial.
I'll just close my mouth for a bit so I can let you guys enjoy the view.
Okay, enough of that because it's time to talk about the movement.
Housed in this sexy case is the Meta Certified Caliber 8900,
a self-winding movement with coaxial escapement.
This can withstand magnetic fields reaching 15,000 gauss.
I heard MRI scans don't affect the integrity of its components.
Do I dare put this to the test?
Um, probably not.
I trust the sources.
It has a 60-hour power reserve.
It is said that the accuracy of the movement is 0 plus 6 seconds.
I really haven't been tracking this one.
I'm too distracted by the dial.
From a wearability standpoint, the 41mm case wears extremely well on my 7-inch wrist.
If you have a smaller wrist, you can consider the 38mm variant.
The combined polished and brushed surfaces of the case and the bracelet
means you can wear this watch to any occasion.
I kind of lean slightly towards the traditional aspect of wearing watches,
so I probably won't wear this to formal occasions.
But not saying that you couldn't.
I'm just programmed to be weird like that.
Final thoughts.
For me, it's the green dial that captured me.
Not discounting its technical specs, of course.
This is a very capable watch and can be worn in most settings.
You just have to watch out for the scratches.
But if that doesn't bother you, well, I hope I can learn to deal with them too.
So please like, share, and subscribe.
And have a nice day.
