Our next skater represents Poland, Zofia Poczenek.
Mark, I'm so impressed with some of these skaters
really early on in the competition that are doing beautiful technical. Two beautiful clean triple lutzes.
And this young woman was 22nd in the short program. The depth of technical proficiency has
increased on the Junior Grand Prix
significantly. Yeah, and
kudos to Zofia Poczenek, representing the host nation, and to coach Polina Kramaz, because
not just a clean triple lutz, but that and the triple loop were so strong and solid.
And now, you know, this is a skater that was clean on rotation in all of the elements in her short program, too.
Well, now she's just getting the feedback that jumps are good.
Skating skills, presentation, and composition. Yeah, some work. Is the way to go. And actually, when we look back at Zofia,
I actually think composition was okay.
There, the crossovers. We'll look at the tech stuff first.
Here's the triple loop. Now that, into the double loop so quickly, but that first triple loop, no, it's all clean in the system.
That's good. You take a look at the triple lutz.
Straight up in the air, hands above the head, great landing, up into the double toe loop.
And to a double axel right after that. Big money points there. Yeah, that was a total of 11.17 points.
That was a bit of a problem, a little bit too far forward on the landing. And we see the second triple lutz
just has that technique on that takeoff really down nicely. Yeah, and
you can see after the jump, as we see the sit spin there,
there was content straight away into the three turn and then the Euler and transitional content was good.
I like the slide where she lifted her leg off the ice too.
For Zofia now, just trying in daily training to work in elongating each stride,
each push, so that her ice coverage will be significantly faster.
Yeah, a really good technical skater and well on her way to learn other aspects as she
slowly blows a nice kiss to her family and friends and shows the heart as well.
It's just fantastic when we've seen great technical skating,
you know, really solid technical skating in the junior level deep into the field from all around the world.
And good healthy competition between three Polish women that are competing in this event, Zofia.
And we will see
others later on, Aleksandra Janikowska and then Veronika Ferlin, who finds herself in the penultimate group in this field.
But Zofia Bochenek on screen now has the potential to be one of the contenders later on.
I'm sure she's working on triple loop, triple loop based on the quality of the triple double that's showcased here.
So quick off the landing edge into the double loop. It was beautiful.
Take a look at the scores, the free program scores for Zofia.
78.03, that is fourth in the free program.
She has a total competition score of 120.61. That'll put it for the moment overall in the third place.
Fans were screaming in the trial. Here's a look at your top five skaters so far in this event.
