We met the giant panda Rui Xi before - now let’s meet his little brother Qiao Yi! This clingy cutie is such a sweet sibling! He felt a bit blue when he first left his mom, but now he’s thriving in his independent life. Wish this fluffy little one a happy, healthy life, surrounded by tons more love!
Chaoyi is easy to spot, a round peach-like head with a faint dip and large black eye patches.
His mom is Yiran, and his brother Ruishi has a small tuft of hair on his head, just like his mom.
As a cub, Chaoyi was mom's cuddly little shadow wherever mom went. He toddled closely behind with
his short little legs. When mom munched on bamboo, he'd immediately squeeze in,
as if the leaves tasted sweeter, right beside her.
When staying with his brother, Chaoyi was very gentle. He didn't mind a bit even if his brother
nudged him or snatched his food, a quick glance at most. Then he'd go back to slow munching.
In July 2025, Chaoyi and his brother moved apart from mom.
At first, Chaoyi struggled to adjust,
moping on the climbing frame and refusing to come down. But with keeper's attentive care
and his brother's constant companionship, he slowly found his spark again.
Now Chaoyi has adapted to living without mom. He spends his days climbing and playing
round the frame, always with his brother close by, side by side. The two fill their days with cozy,
joyful chaos. May this soft, adorable boy live a happy life with his reliable brother.
Surrounded by bamboo feasts and golden sunshine every day.
