Tom Holland's version of Peter Parker learns a really valuable lesson in Spider-Man: No Way Home! Let's check out the rooftop scene !
Spider-Man Nowhere Home is full of nostalgia but I think one of the most important scenes
is the emotional bonding between all three Spider-Mans. I still find it weird that out
of all the places Peter could have gone, he went to his school rooftop. No skyscraper or anything.
That shot is awesome. It's like so simple but I really like it.
Oh he's like the only one who would understand but I really admire Andrew for not arguing. Just
the way he says okay is so effective. He's like I've been in your shoes so I'll give you time to mourn.
Geez, think about it. Green Goblin showed up in a random universe and just decided to screw
up Peter's life. That is pure evil. You can already see Peter starting to lose hope and
it makes sense. I mean he wanted to help these villains and it backfired.
My uncle Ben was killed. It was my fault. I lost Gwen. She was my MJ. I couldn't save her.
I'm never gonna be able to forgive myself for that. Oh you can see the tears forming in Peter's
eyes right now. I'm honestly getting emotional. Andrew Garfield really shines in this movie.
I carried on. Tried to um try to keep going. Try to keep being the uh
friendly neighborhood spider-man because I know that's what she would have wanted but
at some point I just I stopped pulling my punches. I got rageful. I got bitter. I just don't want you
to end up like like me. You can feel how Peter is kind of ashamed and regrets what he did.
It's really powerful stuff. Like come on Sony that's the movie we needed to see. Like the dark
and rageful spider-man. We already got Toby's version of that so it would have been nice to
see Andrew in that role but knowing Sony they probably would have messed it up. The night
Ben died I hunted down the man who I thought did it. I wanted him dead. I got what I wanted.
It didn't make it better. It took me a long time to learn to get through that darkness.
It really just feels like two older brothers reassuring the youngest and I love it. I'm really
glad they didn't turn this moment into a joke where Toby and Andrew show up and just start
throwing quippy jokes around. They actually serve a purpose and I applaud the movie for
taking the time to give us this serious and heartfelt moment between all three spider-mans.
I want to kill him. I want to tear him apart. At this point I wonder if Toby knows that the
goblin killed me. I can still hear her voice in my head. Even after she was hurt she said to me
that we did the right thing. She told me there was a great power comes great responsibility.
This moment hit me so hard when I first watched it. It's at this point when they all realized
that this is the turning point for every version of Peter Parker. They all have to deal with some
kind of tragedy and that is the moment when they truly become spider-man. It's such a
beautiful moment. Wait what how do you know that? Uncle Ben said it the day he died. That look on his
face that's the look of someone who knows they're not alone. Maybe she didn't die for nothing Peter.
I feel like this is what Tom's Peter needed in order to get back on track. Like who knows what
would have happened if Toby and Andrew didn't show up. For all we know this movie could have
ended so differently. Make sure to subscribe and I'll see you guys in the next one.
