I like everything about the school because the school's a great school.
The teachers are nice.
They make learning fun.
All the teachers are kind and we get eager to learn.
And it's very nice here.
It just makes me feel at home.
My favourite part about this school is that you can be whatever you want and you can lead
with example.
You can follow your dreams and everything.
Hello!
Welcome to EMPS!
My favourite subject is library because we get to draw different things and we get to
learn more things about books and we can read lots and we can make ourselves entertained
and it helps us imagine.
Sport because we get to run and play games.
Sports like college, cross country, athletics.
It's actually a really fun thing.
school.
It's actually like really fun.
Learning and EIO and sports.
My favourite part about the school is that we're learning.
Our teachers, our teachers are really nice and I also like our subjects like art and
ICT.
Art and ICT.
We do sports and library and all those fun things.
And my teacher is very funny.
Art and sports and library.
My favourite part about DNPS is the teachers, they're very generous.
And the principal, and the classrooms, and all the activities.
And the teachers. Everyone.
And all the teachers. And the cameraman.
My favourite part about Dandenong North Primary School
is our number one reason why we're here, of course,
which are our students.
They're the reason that we come to school every day
and they're what inspire us to become better teachers.
The beautiful children that are here.
I love coming and they're just fantastic.
They're always happy to see you and they always try their hardest.
And I think most teachers at the school would say that.
The diversity of cultures at this school.
We all get to know each other,
to understand more cultures around the world.
It's really something that I really like.
We are working like families.
Any person who is working in this school,
that person will be able to get many, many benefits.
We're all happy with each other, talking to each other, friendly.
Like, it's something that you can't find in many places nowadays.
My favourite part about this school are the students and the staff.
The best part is in the reading room, of course.
Also out on the crossing, I do the crossing.
Doing the crossing, you see them coming in their pushes and prams
and you high-five them and they go across.
And then you watch them go to prep, grade one, right up to grade six,
and you think, wow, they've all grown up.
And you just see them grow into beautiful children.
It's quite amazing.
It's very rewarding and I just love what I do every day.
We're all such a nice, happy family here
and I just think that I could make a big difference at this school.
Working with all the new students that arrive from various places
and settling them into Dandenong North Primary School,
I really enjoy that role.
And helping children so that they are able to read successfully and confidently.
I would say the teachers, like the community,
everybody at the school is just amazing and friendly.
They're like good friends.
Once upon a time, on a farm, lived Roger the Rabbit.
One day, Roger the Rabbit went for a walk.
In the end, she got back home for time to eat dinner.
Gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble, gobble.
My favourite part about the school is education.
Learning.
I like learning.
How shall I fix it?
Have you got a problem with a messy branch?
Some colourful jelly beans.
The bunny up and the whistling kettle.
I knew our most superior camper, whose methods were absurdly wrong.
He did not live on tea and damper, but took a little stove along.
Everyone's nice and like a family and they take care of you.
And we're friendly and we have guidelines which make us do the right thing.
And our teachers are 100%.
I like my principal because he's nice and he cares about everyone in the school
and he makes the school showing the four C's.
The four C's are care, common sense, cooperation and courtesy.
And they exist in our school because they're four important qualities
for the children to learn.
It is a positive way of guiding students through school.
Everyone at DNPS is so caring.
They're lovely.
They always are nice to each other.
And I think the teachers work so hard to help us have a successful life.
My favourite thing about Dandenong North Primary would be the supportive environment.
I really love how everyone is so welcoming and supportive.
It's really great.
The kids, they're all wonderful kids.
They all come up and give you a hug.
Hi Miss Barb, hi Miss Barb.
That's what you get every day.
You get some kids holding the door open for you.
All my kids came here so I've been a part of the school for a while
so I've seen a lot of things happening here and I love it.
It's really good.
Staff are great.
It's like a big family.
I'm just really passionate about the programs that we have at this school.
It's a very progressive school.
We've got some fantastic writing programs, reading programs, maths programs.
So it's a really exciting place to be as a teacher.
The beautiful students.
I love coming in every day and seeing their smiling faces.
I think Dandenong North Primary School children are just really loved
and for me it's a really nice place to work because they're at the heart of the school
and everyone supports them and they're just so happy
and that's how it should be for me in a school.
My favourite part of the school is art
because you get to make stuff artificially and you get to paint things.
Art because I like being creative.
I like to be in art a lot because I think art is where I can express my emotions into drawing.
I believe with art anything's possible.
I always wanted to be a teacher from when I was young
and I was always interested in art.
Then I majored in art so taught every grade level as a classroom teacher
and I've taught phys ed.
And then finally, after quite a few years of teaching,
I managed to get Dandenong North's art room
and I've been here for about 17 years I think in the art room
and loving it.
I love the staff here but I really love teaching the kids here.
I feel like we make a difference in their lives
and we're part of their life.
School doesn't get in the way of their life, school is their life.
Miss Mac is one of the most loved teachers in the school
because she's very nice, she's very kind hearted,
she's in all our hearts, the whole students,
and she's very nice and we all feel heartbroken that she's leaving and we're going.
I'm feeling really mixed up at the moment.
I'm excited, I'm scared and I'm sad to be going.
I love the kids, I love the staff and I've been here for 30 years.
My favourite part about school is probably coming to school every day with a smile on my face
and when I see Miss Mac, our teacher, it just brings a huge smile on my face.
Normally it's just big but then it becomes colossal, mammoth, immense.
It's just really, really nice to see Miss Mac
and now that she's leaving it kind of hurts but it makes her happy, it makes everyone happy.
She's made a place in everyone's heart for being very nice and caring
and everyone could share their secrets with her
and she's helped me with a lot of things and made me a better person.
What's this?
Oh, you put it like this, that's so lovely.
Thank you.
You're welcome.
Oh, thank you.
Have you been having a party?
Oh, thank you, yum.
I came to this school in Grade 1 and I wasn't really into art
but you inspired me to be an artist person.
Like art is not only about colouring, it's about creativity and it's your imagination.
So thank you Miss Mac and I will really miss you.
Miss Mac, you deserve it.
Thank you.
She's just like a lovely person in general and always helps us through many things.
Look how tall she is.
Oh my goodness.
I'm feeling very short.
Thanks for everything Miss Mac.
It's probably not appropriate.
Graduation.
Send me a letter, send me a letter.
Thank you Miss Mac for helping me throughout these years
and I hope you have a great retired life and a great fellow.
Thank you Miss Mac for making us a great and artistic place.
Have a nice year, have a nice life and we're going to miss you so much.
Have a good retirement and make sure to visit our school.
I'm going to miss the kids and I'm going to miss the staff.
It sounds really corny but we're a family here and I have a very small family
but Dandenong is really special to me because they are my family.
So I'm going to miss the people, the kids and the teachers.
I'll come to visit.
Class.
Good job, well done.
Dada saw a car following the truck.
Great job.
It passes with the waterfall.
Dawn.
Ready?
Perch.
Whack.
Go.
Ok, so let's start the quiz.
Stop the trains.
I'm giving you a heads today.
Practice.
Work.
Ease.
Keep going.
G-H-T-G-H.
There's your homework.
Good job.
My favourite part about the school would have to be my students.
Their passion and enthusiasm for learning is outstanding
and that's what keeps me coming back every day.
I love this school because of the children.
I get up in the morning because I want to come and teach them to read and teach them to spell.
I want to make a difference to their lives.
My favourite part about student observation is seeing the students develop over the years
and seeing their writing grow much more than how it was when they first started.
I just love the community atmosphere and everybody's really friendly and approachable and helpful
and everybody seems to have a good sense of humour so that's great.
The friendly and safe environment and of course the kids.
I love kids and I love to teach them because that makes a difference in their life
and the whole environment is really nice, really good, friendly, supportive.
They all are very cooperative. I love all the teachers and especially the principal, Kevin.
He is really amazing.
I love coming here and helping all the kids and watching them grow and develop.
It's really enriching when they first start, they're not too sure and then you can watch
and you see them all understand and they all get so happy when they understand something
and it's great to watch that.
One of my favourite parts of Dandenong North Primary School is the fact that I used to be a student here
and many of the teachers that I had as a student are still here teaching today
and that just shows what a great place it is that we all stick around and keep doing the job for the kids.
I think I chose to become a teacher definitely because of my mum.
My mum works at this school and I remember her bringing her work home with her every night
sitting, cutting, laminating, making games.
She would always have stories about the kids from this school and that definitely inspired me.
I think probably since the age of about nine I decided that I wanted to be a teacher
and it never really changed from that.
So it's really nice to be able to follow her and see what she does
and be a part of this school which is basically like a big family anyway.
I felt like as a student growing up I needed a lot of guidance
and what really helped me come into my own and achieve my best
was experiencing different people and different perspectives,
experiencing the different worlds that people live in
and I really got that through school, through my classroom, through my school,
my interactions with teachers and friends at school.
Yeah and I think that that's why I want to be a teacher
because it's so important for kids to have that extra experience,
that extra influence external to their home life.
I want to help my students achieve their best like Danni North did for me.
So I like everything about this school.
We have the four C's, there's no bullying and we have great principals
and we have a school dog, Pepper.
She's very fluffy.
She's very lovely.
I just love her.
I like her so much because she's so friendly and we get to play with her.
You help us make decisions don't you?
Don't think you're going to be sitting on that seat all the time either.
I'm talking on Pepper's behalf, she's a very shy dog.
She loves school, she loves coming every day, she has perfect attendance
but her best part of the day is when the bell goes
and the children all come over to play with her and keep her company
so she's always excited to be at school.
And she's best friends to many children, aren't you?
Everyone's got a friend when they can come and see Pepper.
Best thing about Dandenong are the kids.
I've been here a long time and you get to know them
and the people that work here are all so fabulous
and I really enjoy coming to work every day.
Best part about it.
The staff and the general environment here is just fantastic
and it's a pleasure to come in to work every day.
My favourite part of this school is the children.
It's definitely the children and the people that work here.
Having such a wonderful atmosphere and morale
and great people around you makes you want to come to work every day.
What do we love about Dandenong North?
What do you reckon?
We love the teachers.
The teachers at this school work so hard.
They treat children like they would if they were their own children.
Isn't that right?
And we love the children.
They're so enthusiastic.
You see them running everywhere, running to every class they go to,
telling you about what they're learning.
They're just so excited by what they're taught here.
That's what I love about Dandenong North.
When I grow up I want to be a doctor because I like to help people.
I want to be an engineer that's like designing robots.
Robotic engineer or a medical engineer.
I want to be a vet because I like dogs and animals.
I want to be a dentist.
Soccer player.
Yeah, pretty much a soccer player.
A doctor.
I want to be a racer.
A doctor.
Police officer.
A teacher.
I want to be a teacher when I grow up.
A kindergarten teacher.
Doctor because I want to help people.
I really want to be a doctor.
Teacher so I help people to learn and understand.
An engineer.
I want to be a type of scientist when I grow up.
I really want to be a voice actor because it's a voice actor.
I'm talking as another person and that's just so cool.
A teacher so I can teach kids.
A teacher.
A doctor.
A racer.
A soccer player.
You earn money and if you need help you help people like your family or friends.
I want to be an artist.
I got to hang my paintings in the museums and everybody was going to know me.
A doctor because I don't want anyone to die and I want to save lots of people's lives.
I want to go to space and go to the moon.
I want to be a nurse.
I want to be a police.
I want to be a scientist because I'm really interested in space because that's really cool and all the splitting stars and stuff.
I want to be a scientist and I want to help the animals mostly and discover some medicines for them.
I'd like to be a police because I want to save the world.
A teacher like my teacher so I can learn anything.
The school principal is the best because his personality and everything he does for us makes everything fair for us.
If he wants to make a decision he includes us and he's really friendly and nice and I love his personality.
To be honest he should be the Prime Minister of Australia because that's how great he is.
I just love to see children skipping and running to the different lessons and different programs they have
because it shows me that they're happy and I want the children in our school to be happy and learning.
So I get the two things at once when I see them skipping and smiling on their way to different programs
I know that they're happy and I know that they're going to be learning.
The greatest school in the world.
Be a teacher in this school.
