This is a Cheveria Golden Glow variegated that I've had for at least three years now and I only
had one head but as you can see the main head is still this one so look at the bottom there's
a stem that I actually cut off before but now it's grown a few variegated beautiful golden glow oh
my goodness okay so it's now five weeks later and you can see that this golden glow has now grown
much much much bigger is that a word bigger but anyway so now it's time to chop its head off
before I do that I just want to point out that all the leaves in the bottom here has now sort of
outgrown the spottiness that's the effect from being hit by winter frost and also the little
baby so one two three four five is much bigger as well and plus it's growing new ones like that
little couple of leaves of red dot but anyway this one now needs to be chopped chopped chopped
so it will be encouraged to grow more babies there you go now you can put out more babies for me oh
look at that isn't it gorgeous and then this one here look at this one here so that one is
starving so it needs some feeding so I need to put some fertilizer on that to keep it alive
but this one here is a gorgeous variegation and those ones here so this used to be a crested one
so you can see the crested part here but during winter they suffered the frost so even this one
that's really best given some good loving nutrients but the problem with giving it too
much nutrients or fertilizer is they are going to go like this one now so this gilva now is
not variegated anymore and also there's another one here that's not variegated anymore so I would
really like to keep some variegation if possible and those ones here I think I can't remember now
whether they're leaves or grown from leaves those ones I think they are but at least they're showing
some variegation and of all the gilva that I've got which is one big plant before I've got one
that died like this head like that but this one now this is the only one that I was able to save
they're all growing individual head which is just what I like that's what I like okay now also the
cresting see at least they still got some crested one so this is now a smaller version but now I
need I actually gave them some fertilizer can you see my sea mangas in there the black stuff
so I did gave it some fertilizer and then now in springtime they started to grow but about a month
ago this wasn't looking very healthy but now it's picking up so it's growing so which makes
me very very very happy so now this part I would really like to clean this up and also make sure
that these other ones here that are just sort of sitting on top that they get contact with the soil
or else they're not gonna grow even that one so you can see that's got roots
hang on it's just hard to see but anyway it's got little baby roots on it and we need to set it
and as you can see the soil is dry but the middle bit is wet but the top is very very dry and of
course lots of little babies that's just sitting on top we need to put them where they can join
or where they have access to basically water water the source of life okay now with this one
now I've got an empty spot here what I want to do is just put my eggs in one basket so that way
they can all grow happily together there you go so that way I know that if I say where's my
I know where they are so any who there's weeds here remove the weeds and also that one normally
I would like to remove the non-variegated one okay I'll separate it okay but oh because that
will encourage the other ones to grow non-variegated as well so that's why I have to separate it but
on the other hand this little bit of baby here showing now can you see that there's a bit of
yellow that might actually grow variegated so now I'm just gonna clean this up and separate it
this is the wrong time of the day to be doing the video but I don't have any choice
because this is the only time I've got to do videos hang on because I've been busy with
other things I can't tell you exactly what I've been doing apart from I had the flu
a friend of mine said I've got covid because I've been coughing non-stop last week
and so right now I've got a sore back part of getting old I've been told so anyway I've been
working hard on other things and that's why now I got a sore back but anywho that's good enough
so that baby there I would really like that to grow so I'm just gonna tease up the soil as well
so that's actually dry and then put the roots in there wouldn't know that you were growing the other
way before but now there you go so now I'm gonna put this back up the top where they can look
pretty this is now five weeks later let's go see what happened to this beautiful variegated
gilba so this is now the difference of the growth from five weeks ago so if you notice
the babies are much bigger so this one have grown bigger compared to how it was before
and also this one will also has gotten bigger so we've been having a lot of hot days lately even if
this is situated in about 50 percent UV shade cloth area you can see especially this one here
that has suffered from the heat because any yellow variegated plants or any yellow variegation
they're not able to protect themselves from the harmful effects of ultraviolet rays and that this
is the reason why it's burned but you can see on the parts that are green there's no burning
or sunburn as I call it but this one here you can see the middle is green and that's why no burning
but the sides are yellow so any edges that are yellow tend to be more prone to getting sunburn
so even on this side here this other one here has the same story it's a sad sad story they need
some sunscreen and they haven't got any so that's what happens but remember those little ones that
I put in look at them so even this crested one here that is looking far more healthier than how
it was and even that one there that's going to grow into a healthy crested one and of course
the rest of the babies here hopefully they would grow into variegated babies like this one's here
but not like this one I prefer them to grow equally like this one here equal parts of
yellowness and of course greenness so that is a perfect sort of variegation and also this one's
they seem to be handling the sun a lot better than this yellow variegated Echeveria
Gilba variegated but nevertheless this thing that will grow out of it so eventually I will
chop its head off and all those ones there we can remove them and hopefully new babies would grow
from them but at the moment this one I feel is still a little bit too small so I would like it
to grow a bit bigger so I'm gonna leave it for a while before I chop it off maybe at the end of
summer is when I cut this or behead this to propagate so I can bring it inside as well and
grow it inside under the grow light and they will grow much much faster now this Echeveria Beyonce
that is exposed to more sunlight has grown beautifully look at all the different variegations
the color look at that isn't that gorgeous should I leave it as is or should I chop its head off
I have this little one here that is sort of struggling so I thought what if I just chop its
head off okay so I'm gonna do that now I've disinfected my secateurs as well so now you can
see that at the back there so there's all that stump that can grow roots so I'm gonna go off with
so this one now hopefully it will grow some more babies on the stem here just like these little
ones here so I'm gonna let that dry up for a couple of hours before I let it have contact
with the soil and I can remove this pretty agate now I'll just do that upside down for now I got a
nice surprise today this is my precious Echeveria Romeo that I love so much this is actually the
oldest of all my Echeveria Romeos and this one has never ever produced any babies nor have I
chopped its head off so it's still in its original state when I got it and today I got a very very
nice surprise look there's a baby can you see the tiny little baby there so anyway I need to just
clear this out we pull that off and we pull that off as well away from the baby okay it's not
crunchy because it's still moist so it's not doing a lot of crunchiness it's sort of bladdery
anyway I need to remove that so the baby can breathe are you feeling better there you go I can
see its legs now so anyway we need to give it room to move but we have to be very very very
careful because it can also have another baby down there and then now I just pulled off another baby
oh no anyway now this one now hopefully that will still grow you got two babies that I just killed
okay anyway so hopefully it will produce more because that took like nine years to produce
a baby look at that oh now on this side now I'm afraid to touch it now so this one now
hopefully this precious one can still be saved otherwise I'm going to be heartbroken but it
I'm just gonna tuck it in somewhere here and hopefully it will take root but that other one
now has got room to move okay I can't help myself anyway I just have to take this off
and there you go that's it that's good enough just in case there's another baby hiding underneath
there I don't want to kill it but I can't see any anyway so that's all I saw but hopefully
that other one grows I'm sorry okay I'll put you back here and I can let you grow some more babies
my other Romeo that has produced a baby so this one is now well settled so that's all nice and
firm and I look on the other side as well I'm just gonna go look another baby popping out in
here so I'm really really happy but do I clean it up should I I'm just gonna help myself
oh my goodness okay just taking the dry leaves but I am not touching this leaf here so anyway
there you go so that's is that enough I don't know I'm just feeling my way through and
crunch crunch so that's dry leaves no other babies no other love okay that's all you've got
one so now this one has produced two babies so of all the succulents that I have I would
have to say that my favorite is anything that's red so if it's red consistently red then I like
it so that one there I need to angle you on this side oopsie ah there you go that way
the baby's protected on the opposite side and I won't be tempted to mess around with it
there you go oh have you got more no so just dry leaves okay and yeah and also the stalk that has
dried up we can take that off we can take that off and then that way mommy Romeo can be pretty
again with his baby and another baby this gorgeous thing here is called Echeveria
Niagara it's like the waterfall when I got this so this is actually a black rose and
Monroe hybrid or something like that I'll just go have a look at the label Niagara cross black
Monroe ah so it's not Niagara so it's Niagara black cross black Monroe so there's no name yet
can we name you what are we going to name you uh fallen angel no that's not a very nice name
anyway this one when I got this it wasn't it wasn't variegated but then now it has shown
signs of variegation so you got a one a two uh three uh do you have more I think it's only three
leaves or four yeah four leaves and maybe that one too showing variegations and five so hopefully
the variegation will grow and then we're going to end up with red and white and green
coloration for this beautiful Niagara cross Monroe lately I have been finding a lot of my succulents
starting to variegate so just like this one here this one is I think Callisto or something or
Caesar sorry so this one I'm not sure whether it wasn't this color before so I'm just thinking now
it's creating more yellowing so probably it's starting to variegate see the edges there so I
don't know if I would actually like it of course I'm going to be happy if it variegates but then
that only means that it's going to grow very very very slow and I think this is the only Caesar I've
got I might have one somewhere else but I don't know where I put it I couldn't find it but so far
I hope I could find the other one because that one was so pretty green okay this one is called
big red variegated hang on I just made it look dirty now you can see that come on okay you
that's obviously very very variegated so this one now is the head of my original variegated plant
and the body is now this one so I think this might be another head I can't remember exactly
which one it is so this one now whether this is the head or the other one is the baby
I'm confused but anyway I know I have the body somewhere but I seem to have lost it but maybe
it died or I can't remember anymore but anyway but from one plant I have now a one two three
four well five of them now and now what I wanted to do is since this thing is getting so long
and leggy I want to chop its head off again first actually I checked for mealybug or any pest that's
sort of lurking underneath here because I don't want to chop its head off and then it gets infected
by mealybug so which did so you can see that white thing there so I already sprayed it and I killed
hopefully all the mealybug but then now I really really want to chop its head off because I still
have a chance to grow more pups so summer is the best time to behead a lot of the Echeveria
Freelies especially the Freelies so I'm gonna take advantage of the heat because we're gonna
have around over 30 degrees actually celsius this coming few days so best time for growing
Echeveria Freelies so now I'm sorry baby but I need to chop your head off oops don't ah good
catch anyway I'm gonna let this dry up and of course there's no fancy things needed to be done
all I'm gonna do with this one is let this one callus off and then I'll put it in a pretty pretty
pretty pot and then that way it can continue to grow so it's only gonna take actually so I'm gonna
put it here and then of course the body again we are going to put it somewhere a little bit hidden
okay here is a spot for you you can go in there and you can start growing more babies for me
also with the label I put in head chopped the 16th of the 12 20 25 so that way I will know
how fast it will grow now this Bradboriana variegated as well this is the only one I have
and it is growing very very leggy so to me this is a good time now to also chop its head off
see the beautiful variegation that's gorgeous isn't it well it's still gonna be gorgeous except
we are gonna chop chop chop chop chop chop I'm sorry baby we have to go chop chop chop oh look
can you see see it's calling for it it's saying roots saying please chop me off there you go I'm
chopping you off and look at that the back is all swelling up I don't know whether it's babies
or roots but never the mind we already chop it off so I want this one to be able to grow grow
fast and there's another small one growing there but I'm not gonna worry about that but this one
now I'm gonna tuck this away as well put it somewhere where it can grow so Bradboriana
variegated please grow some more babies for me this is my Echeverria agavoides FID
it's got a fake ID that's why I put FID it's like fibbing but anyway so it's just Agavoides
that's all I've got the name and this was only ever one plant and then it started growing babies
and ever since I've got it there's also two babies there that has been affected by something
but anyway this has been kept dry and I did not and intentionally I kept forgetting to
give it fertilizer and what happened now it's starting to variegate see all the look at that
yellowing so should I leave it as is or should I actually continue to make this into variegated
plants but anywho this one now is actually an Agavoides and Agavoides I find tend to
slow down a little bit during the hotter months I don't know if you find it the same way for those
of you who's been growing Agavoides as well I don't know if you your observation is the same
as mine but I just noticed that they tend to shy off well actually they lose their color for one
when it gets too hot so I like to put my Agavoides even my Romeo which is also an Agavoides
I prefer putting it somewhere in sort of a shaded area semi-shaded area not too
much in the open because they tend to lose their coloring during the hotter months of the year so
this one now I really need to clean this up but I would also like to harvest all these babies so
I'm gonna continue giving this a name called feed but anyway feed okay I will feed you
I'll give you some fertilizer this one's actually okay hang on oops there you go and another one
higher oh I can't reach oops there you go so now how many plants do I have I got a one two
three which is going to variegate as well you can see the coloration there that's going to variegate
and then hopefully it'll continue and this one got affected by something of course and of course
it's been healed and also a couple of these smaller ones I think I am going to take that off
as well just in case they will still grow but anyway I'm going to leave the mother plant the
mother head or should I chop you off because I'm feeling really generous today I want to just chop
everything off should I leave you and I think I'm going to leave you I'm feeling generous we're
saying I'm getting trigger happy that's what I meant to say that's all I've got for this video
guys and look at this gigantea what do you call that I don't know I forgot the name anyway
this I paid 45 dollars I remember still when I paid for this a long time ago and it took a long
time to grow because every time we have the cold it shrivels up and then when it warms up it grows
big and then now it's shriveling up another plant that is showing signs of variegation is my Echeveria
Agavoides Morgan's Beauty look how gorgeous this thing is looking see all those yellowing on the
edges so I have this growing in this sort of protected area and the tips are red and the edges
are yellow and even the little babies are starting to sort of have this variegated look as well so
which is just so gorgeous but anyway so this time now I am actually gonna give this one some
fertilizer so hopefully it doesn't revert back to its original sort of green and red color although
it's beautiful the way it is I would really like for this to grow bigger or else they're just going
to stay small and one two three four five six babies I did separate one which is this Morgan's
Beauty so now I'm just going to compare this with the other one so this is one of the first babies I
took out from this Morgan's Beauty and look at the difference look at that so this variegated one is
just so so so so so so gorgeous it's now getting dark but I just noticed this Echeveria Golden State
and also this Suyun here that is getting leggy as well see look at them so I thought I might as well
chop them off as well so this one now the Golden State has got a little baby there or a smaller one
I wouldn't say a baby but anyway this one now I need to chop this off so let's go chop it off okay
got it so now hopefully that will grow and then this one now I have to just tuck it into here
upside down and tomorrow I'm gonna pot that up and also this Suyun here should I do both or
I'll leave the other one I think I'll do both doesn't matter so I still have two anyway however
which way it goes and if it doesn't grow babies it doesn't grow babies nothing I can do about that
but at least I am giving them a chance to produce babies so there you go so that one there upside
down as well and that one upside down and this one hopefully some pups will grow on the stem
