This time we'll make a Dahlia flower cake
A subscriber requested a dahlia flower
so I looked up many images through Google
But the flowers were really diverse in color and type
I found an image that I could
relatively easily express as Cain
I'm not really a big fan of Cain
I'm not really satisfied with the finished product
This is just a single coat of UV resin to bring out the shine
We should upload it since we did the work
Should I just title it "Flower Kane" or go with "Dahlia Flower"
I'm still unsure but I'll start anyway
It's clay selected by the Pimo Machine number 7
That's the gradient preparation
And the other one is an effect color
I just needed a dark red That's recycled
You can just make it a dark red
And we did the Indian Red in two shades and the white color
Well the size and shape are a bit different but it's just cut straight diagonally
A square-shaped one and this one is about 2 cm longer on top
The white color is attached and comes up
Please look at this carefully
I will start with the gradient work
Please slightly overlap the colors and merge them into one
We blend the white color slightly to prevent it from looking too flat
I will do a gradient effect on the 3rd Pimo Machine
Please repeat until the gradient is complete
The gradient has been completed although it won't be noticeable in the
video because it's the same color tone
Then I'll have to do the other one as well
This is when you fold it in half and do the same
It is repeated until the colors are fully mixed
The gradient is roughly completed
Fold this in half then in half again and once more in half
I'm going to pull it long on the Fimo machine number 3 it's thick
Press the sides to make it thinner similar in size
to the thickness of a regular 3rd size foam machine
Then insert it into the third and pull it out lengthwise
And the other color we made earlier is also three times
Fold it the same way three times and reduce the thickness accordingly
I'll put them both in slot 3 and pull them out long
Then the long gradient created two of them
We will fold this into a square with the same width
Fold the other one the same way
When folded and combined the gradient becomes more visible
This is to make it a square when rotated like this
I'll carefully combine the shapes
and press the surface firmly to tidy it up
They have to be slightly different in size
The height is the
same but we added more white color Quiet
Then you can see the direction of the
gradient Lighten and lighten then cut diagonally
This is also similar with the dark color going up on the X
Bright colors don't get confused below
So if we take these one by one the height of the triangle is really low right now
Make this pointy pointy like this
All of them
This is just roughly made in the same shape
There's no need for details
Just make it like this with a pointed top shape
And then one important thing is that we did the gradient work
The dark color should be on top and the light color should go down
Take this and check the
direction of the gradient The light colors are all at the bottom
This is how the overlapping works
Again a dark color and then a light color again a dark color again a light color again
The dark color is back the light color is
here As you can see the light color is all the way down
Combine these into one properly
I'll stretch it a little longer
I'll lay down a base layer in white color
The thinnest one from the trimmer 1 this is the white color selected with trimmer 1
I'll wrap the clay around the edge once
We will now make this square into a circle and expand it
We're going to extend it but here's a point: this side
is light color and that side is dark color right
I'll stretch it out long like a funnel towards the dark color
Dahlia flowers have a lot of petals
I counted roughly and there were more than 30
So please make the petals as long as possible
I worked on something of this length
Actually this also seems short but I want
to make it longer but the desk is too narrow
We stretched it to about 60 cm from its original length of over 50 cm
It gradually becomes thinner
I'll roughly cut this into
five parts It's okay to just cut it
Now the focus isn't good at 1cm
You can cut them into 10 pieces each even if it's not exactly 10
Just make them look about the same
You need to separate the steps in the gradient
That's why I've cut it into steps now
It's hard to see isn't it
This bright color will go out so we'll start working on it now
The dahlia flower has pointed petals
So I'll shape it in this way beforehand
We need to combine them this way
Cut the rest the same way in order
I will work in order and not forget the sequence of the gradient
Now since showing this in slow motion would be
boring I'll play it a bit faster
It's about done now
I think it will be okay if I just fill in the background
Fill the background and this is not completely circular right now
Dahlia flowers are usually almost circular
So I'll fill it evenly without making it
round and then stretch it to make it round
We will fill in the background
They filled it up carelessly so everyone will take advantage of it
They're still open aren't they
So that all the gaps fit together
This is the correct fit but the space that has fallen off is too large
Now if I cut it as I did a moment ago
Spread them out to fill the empty space
Like this
I'll cut out the background
Are you not going to make it round
Just keep the petals the background and the spacing between them the same
It cuts and removes them all in the same way
It will not be round anymore
The current state is not original but if we reduce it
like this keeping the same width as the background the
If stretched into a circle this flower will become a circle
I'll make it longer
It's hard to stretch properly when it's cold
My fingers are really sore
But I managed to stretch them all for now
It's time to check the pattern by cutting
You did well
My gradient didn't turn out as intense as I had intended
But the shape came out as I had imagined
Dahlia flowers come in many different shapes
Some have plump crisp petals
There are some slightly
uneven ones like this I worked
on them in a slightly uneven way I feel a bit unsure
Because they are not exactly the same
It turned out
as I intended I think it would look even better if I apply a thicker layer of UV resin
Because I just used the leftover effect
line there's a sparkle
So I cut this one out
Apply a thick layer of uv res
We have completed the thick coating with UV resin
The color becomes more vid and lively
You can clearly see the pearl it sparkles nicely
I tried making a dahlia flower cake
but personally I didn't really like it
But when I slightly increased it
It is like a flower yet not quite
Well since the completed Cain has been
made I'll probably upload this video
Today's tutorial will end here
I'll see you in the next video
The dahlia flower probably will be different again
