Ekaterina Chikmareva and Matvey Yanchenkov. Pairs. Free Skating. 2026 Russian Championships

Guys great job They are in fourth place after the short program Ekaterina Chekhmareva and Matvey Yanchenkov And all of this is unexpected because this ambitious couple was ready to fight even for victory They fell from the explosion It happens even in Perm Even though it's rare They are placed in a style of dark epic as if emphasizing the drama of the current situation The full hall of the Jubilee Sports Palace And applauds this couple almost throughout their entire performance Music plays doesn't play in rhythm out of rhythm People are just in a trance already They keep clapping and clapping So much do they love this couple They support her so much Now they are chanting Well done Amazing treatment of figure skaters Here are so many banners and so many gifts And of course Ekaterina Chekhmareva Matvey Yanchenkov Amazing ride Great That was really great Just the way they know how What a great couple there is in Perm And despite all the difficulties that follow them it gives the audience such a ride Truly very very good I'm lost even in compliments because Mitya and Katiya can ride like no one else There's some chemistry between them Before the release the coaches said don't just do what you know just do your own thing And they did The guys did everything to reach the podium Excellent synchronization Yes the starting cascade a clean salchow two axels simultaneously at good speed The coaches are also jumping along with the boys A great amplitude twist A fitting complement to the twist is a flip A parallel triple coat Everything is great Well support is the very essence of Matvey Yanchenko And Ekaterina Chemaroyeva of course Where would you be without a partner in pair skating And here is the only mistake The one the guys had - a Rittberger Katya braced herself a little with her second leg But these are just minor details When such a great ride at such a speed with such presentation with such amplitude elements But even judges can turn a blind eye to such mistakes just a little of course they won't completely ignore them But nevertheless we are all people and we are all impressed And declarations of love sound Yes constantly "Leena " Yes so loudly Okay it's scary when people shout during the ride My heart actually stops Right now the guys will get distracted by something But no not today Not today The showman that he is now grew from Matvey a shy boy when we first me They started their journey even in juniors Now a real partner Partner Reliable And in the free program they score 14 points higher than Yulia Artemyeva and Alexey Bryukhanov They were leading up to this point And a lead of more than 15 points at the moment At Yekaterina Chekmareva and Matvey Yanchenkov But the main advantage is not to Yulia and Alexei and before the next pairs
