Please welcome the former WBO 154 pound champion of the world the undefeated all-action battle ready hard-hitting world-ranked contender introducing Jaime Mungui, the reigning and defending undisputed super middleweight champion of the world, Presentando a Saúl Canelo Alvarez! Canelo Alvarez entered the fight as the undisputed super middleweight champion and the defining figure of his boxing era. With championship experience across multiple weight classes, he had built his legacy on elite defense, precise counterpunching, and a punishing body attack. Against Munguia, Canelo looked to remind the world why experience and mastery still ruled at the highest level. He tore Callum Smith's ligaments in his arm but look at Munguia open up Canelo again very focused in the eye of the storm in an all-Mexican affair one two from Canelo connects beautiful accuracy right there from Canelo straight punches one two three it's the powerful Canelo he's looking for that we know that Munguia gets hit flush so definitely Canelo looking for that hands are low to the counters trying to keep his hands up as he goes on the attack keep that same momentum counter left hook upstairs by Munguia the volume but it's always going to be the counter punching from Canelo nice double left hook a la Canelo by Munguia walking Canelo down has him in the corner let's say no he's aggressive when Canelo nice right hand Canelo spot his head took some of the steam off but it was a miss by Munguia as the punches you don't see that man Munguia never saw that short uppercut from Canelo left hook started it the right uppercut finished it everything was working for Munguia but guess what the experience of Canelo see the head movement there as he took all the steam off the punch and countered and now goes to the body so the defensive reflexes are still there lead left hook by Munguia I know a lot of people say that Canelo's flat-footed yes he is but he's the guy that he knows how to work from the inside that's where his power comes from yeah that's you don't want to be there again goes to the body but still Canelo lands a combination and then culminates with a right to the body and it's when Munguia goes to the body that he leaves his head exposed for that he's going to throw that liver shot normally and you're right he leaves that right hand up when Canelo has taken over you know the past three rounds there's a little jab feint you know Munguia went to parry it blocked him and he stepped back there's a jab right down here comes the big right for Canelo right here yeah and just right down the middle he's so smart high accuracy just so impressive so good second time against us fellow Mexican the first time he's been here before he's seen it so he's waiting for the right time but the cleaner shots on the inside Munguia going to the body but that left hook but leaves himself open to the uppercut yes he did yeah there's another uppercut by Canelo on the inside one of his that's a sharp right hand left uppercut nice cover by Canelo Munguia continues to just turn him and it's who he is for there's a quick jab right hand from Canelo to just be the like uh like uh Joe said it's discouraging that when you've left your punches going you're landing Canelo changes it with one very dangerous right now he's looking at some good shots Canelo makes you feel comfortable he lets you get off and then again he makes you pay for it and from the right hand to the right uppercut to the right hand in succession well there's the jab right hand that's with the right hand that landed by Munguia and that was a good left hook and there's there's that little deep jab and then a right hand right over the low left hand of Munguia those intentions of just going in forward pressure he put his hands just so accurate tonight at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas well yeah started off really good yeah Canelo does that he makes you feel like you're in the fight but boom here comes the uppercut and knocks you down. Jaime Munguia is a great fighter he's a strong he's a smart but you know I take my time I have 12 rounds to win the fight and I did and still the WBC WBA undisputed super middleweight champion of the world Saúl Canelo out
