BD House | A Sculpted Urban Residence with Concrete Elegance in São Paulo

BD House, designed by studio Arthur Casas, is a refined urban residence located in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The project is defined by its iconic cabogo façade, a three-dimensional concrete screen that balances privacy and openness while allowing light and views to filter into the home. Pigmented in a warm ochre tone, the concrete façade becomes the visual identity of the house, guiding the material palette throughout the interior. A vertical garden along the side boundary softens the structure, creating a green buffer between the residence and the street. Designed for a young family, the house is organized vertically across multiple levels to maximize space on a compact urban lot. The main living spaces flow seamlessly on the first floor, opening to a garden and outdoor leisure area. An elevator connects all floors, while an English courtyard brings natural light and ventilation to the lower level, where service areas and a wine cellar are located. Upper floors accommodate private suites, while the rooftop features a pool and deck for relaxation. Carefully curated furniture and iconic design pieces complete the interior, reinforcing the home's balance between architectural strength, comfort and timeless elegance.
