Today's story, Who Should We Trust? Have you ever wondered, who we should really trust?
There's an explanation that says, religion was created to give people a break,
something that stops them from doing evil. That sounds reasonable, doesn't it? Indeed,
it's true in a sense. But when some people say it, their tone quietly reveals their belief in atheism.
They mean to say, someone invented religion with good intentions. But all those things about gods,
heaven and hell, karma, or reincarnation, they aren't real. But think about this,
Jesus Christ was real. Sakyamuni Buddha was real. The saints and sages throughout history,
they truly lived. Many of them displayed extraordinary abilities that science still
cannot explain. Thousands of near-death experiences have been documented and studied.
Countless mysterious stories exist beyond the reach of modern science. Some people proudly claim,
I only believe what I can see with my own eyes. Then ask them, do you believe what's written in
your textbooks? They'll say, of course I do. But then ask again, have you personally witnessed
the experiments, the reasoning, the observations that produce those so-called truths in the
textbooks? And they fall silent. In the end, we believe someone, because we feel they are
trustworthy. And humanity, for as long as it has existed, has survived on faith. So now,
between two sides, on one side, the enlightened beings, Buddha Shakyamuni, Jesus Christ,
the saints and sages, and on the other, ordinary men like Darwin,
men who lived in resentment toward God, who should we trust?
