Both programs, sorry, too nervous to do anything. Hi, I'm Claire and I'm Temi and we're here to
discuss the differences between Biomedical Science and Health Sciences. First, we'll start with an
obvious difference. Biomedical Sciences is offered under the umbrella of Life Sciences within the
Faculty of Science and Health Sciences is offered by the Faculty of Health. And both programs are
great for those interested in medical school or any healthcare related pathways. And both
also provide a Bachelor of Science. Now if we dive deeper into what you'll be studying,
in Health Sciences you're going to look at human health and in Biomedical Sciences you're going to
look at the medical sciences and the aspects that affect all life, not just humans. In Health
Sciences you're going to learn about the Canadian healthcare system, health research and public
health alongside genetics, cell biology and chemistry. And in Biomedical Science you take
molecular biology, microbiology, physiology alongside genetics, physics and chemistry.
And one final thing to note is that both of these programs are different than
our Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology, which is the science of human movement.
We hope that helps.
I can see my hand and I can see the shadow and I was like that is awkward.
