Hi everyone, welcome back. Today I'm practicing my New Year's Eve makeup look. This year I was
envisioning a soft smokey eye with a bunch of sparkle and a softer peachier lip and cheek duo
and I love how it turned out. Lately I've been catching my cat Ren looking at me with the
cutest expression on his face, just full of love and cuteness. Well, at least I thought it was,
until it dawned on me that he was just hypnotized by my sparkly necklace. And it's so weird because
I've been wearing necklaces his entire life, this one just must be extra sparkly and special to him.
This is the Lina necklace from Idol and they are sponsoring today's video, which is always
such an exciting moment for me. I'll show you the pieces that I've been living in as of late. So
these ones on my lips currently are the ones I've worn the most. These are the jade ones. So it
starts off with the stud and then this piece is like a little extension that you throw on in the
back and then it loops around your ear and I think this is such a cute design. I think it looks so
elevated but cute for every day. It just looks so nice and unique. And the one I have in my conch
right now is a petite stud with jia and I just love how that looks. I mean how could I not? Like
that is so pretty and like a cute little peekaboo and I like how I can wear it flipped up or flip
down if I want to change it slightly. And I've been wearing this necklace constantly, I just don't
even take it off. I sleep, shower, everything with it on. This is the Lina necklace and it's just so
lovely. Idol is a fine jewelry brand and they're known for their diamond craftsmanship. Everything
is made with solid 14k traceable gold and lab-grown diamonds. They're real diamonds grown in a more
sustainable and ethical way and that's something that I personally really love and value when it
comes to my fine jewelry. But what I love most about Idol is their module design. So you can mix
and stack and layer your pieces depending on your mood or the occasion. Lately I've just been wearing
them at max drama. I'll have the pieces I'm wearing linked down below as well as my discount
code so definitely use that if you're going to be shopping. Thank you again to Idol for sponsoring
today's video. I'm just so grateful for the support. But now let's get into this New Year's
Eve makeup look. So this is what I have on my face so far, these three things. So I have this all over,
it's the COSRX the six peptide skin booster. I've been liking this and on the bottom half of my face
I have the COSRX the ceramide skin barrier moisturizer. It's nice and thick and really
hydrating and my bottom half of my face is a bit dry especially around my nose and my mouth and I
have this xear air angel hydrating facial gel cream on my forehead. Since it's not dry up here
it's quite oily. So winter combo skin thanks. I'm going to be starting off with my eyes today
because I'm going to be working with quite a few shimmers so I just want to make sure my skin is
nice and glitter free or as glitter free as I can get it. So I'll do my classic setup here for my
eyes. I'm starting with the about face eye primer and I kind of spread this around my eye until I
can feel the texture change. I kind of do this universally with all eye primers and I always
lay down just a touch of concealer so my eyeshadow has something to grab onto and so later I don't
struggle with getting super up close to my eye look. I'm using my NYX bear with me serum concealer
in vanilla and the last step to set up is taking a bit of setting powder and I set my brow to crease.
This creates a nice slip for your transition shade. This just makes it way easier to get a
diffused crease and I like to keep my lids tacky because that's where I want the most opacity for
my eyeshadows and such so I like how it grips onto powders and creams and glitters especially.
For my new year's eve look this year I'm envisioning something a little bit more taupey
instead of like full-on silver or full-on brown. Somewhere in the middle there I wanted something
a little bit warm but still had that brightness that you can get from like a silver sparkly
shadow if that makes sense. So I really shopped my collection here and I'm not really using anything
new. I grabbed my Icy Nude palette from Huda Beauty, my Merit solo shadow in Nelson which is a
nice taupey gray, and this Kosas eyeliner in Orbit. So I'm whipping out this solo shadow first. This
is the shade so it overall looks like a nice gray but it does have a warmth to it. I have this tiny
Shodo 06 brush from Ruffer and it's a really really nice brush. I really like this for liners,
cream shadows, honestly any detail work on the lower lash line. So I'm taking this first and I'm
going to diffuse this on my lower lash first, making sure I have a little clean brush too
just so I can soften the edge without adding more. And I'm going to run this on my upper lash line
too, kind of just smudging it. I don't have to be too detailed because I'm going to be smothering
my eye in a glitter, so it's just going to be here to add some depth and contrast.
Adding another layer on the outer corner for the most depth over here. I'm taking my Kosas liner
now and I'll run this in my waterline here. I'm going to take my contour colour, this is the
Kaleido Symphony Contour Trio in the shade Light and I'm taking the middle one and this is going
to be in my crease first. I'm going to potentially put some of these more pinky shades from the Icy
Nude palette. I didn't want it to be pure pinky in the crease. I'm also putting some of that
contour colour down here. Wow, I did not do a good job at getting in between my lashes on this side.
Hold on, what the heck. This stage always looks a little awkward, but now I'm going to be dipping
into my Icy Nude palette and I'm going to take a touch of the shade High Life over here and throw
that into my crease and this is the shade I was envisioning in my mind. It's the shade Diamond Dew.
I couldn't find it in a different palette or anything, but this is like as close as a match
as I was envisioning. There it is on my hand right here. It looks overall kind of like a silver, but
it does have like a bronziness to it. This texture is super weird though, it's like very crumbly.
It's not my favorite, but if you have something similar in your collection, it's this one here.
It's a flaky texture and it kind of, the flakes get everywhere, like it's all up on my mirror.
So with this, I'm gonna make a big mess. I'm basically transferring the excess flakes from
that eye and putting them over here and it's kind of working out. Taking a Smith 253, I'm dampening
it with a setting spray. I have the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray on me right now and I'm
taking that same color to throw on my lower lash line. I'm dampening it because this is such a flaky
texture. I can't imagine how that would feel under my contact lens. I feel like a touch needs to go
in the inner corner too. I'm going to tell you guys to have faith in me because I currently do
not have faith in myself with this look, but I think it'll look cool once I have mascara on and
the rest of the face on. So now I'm curling my lashes and I'm going to put on some mascara. Today
I'm using my Peripera mascara and with the mascara, I'm really making sure to stamp a little extra
right near my lashes. And what I like to do is like I kind of blink on the mascara wand and then
I kind of wiggle it through the root of my lash. Adds a lot of volume near the root. Mascara, what
can it fix? Okay, so now let's get to the base. I'm going to be using my Givenchy Glow Serum Foundation
in the shade 2N. Oh and I also have a zit sticker. I forgot. It was so invisible. I woke up with like
a horn growing up the side of my forehead here. It was so painful. Over the weekend, I went to my first
rave. We went for my friend's birthday and what an experience it was. I was really excited to
have a new experience. I've never been in that kind of environment and it was a very memorable,
funny night. But yeah, that is not my kind of thing at all but I'm happy to have experienced
it. I thought I held it together pretty well until I looked at my photos I took that night
and this was my face in most of them. I was like, oh my god, girl, where is she? She is in her brain
hiding. She is dissociated. It ended up not being any of our thing. We all left a little bit early
and then I got home and I built my new cat tree completely drunk and I built it right.
I actually woke up shocked. I actually had a really great time doing it. I also think that
my face was like that in that photo because I did not realize that the stranger man who
photobombed us had white man dreadlocks all the way down to his butt crack and I was touched and
I touched them behind his back and I didn't know what it was so I was frightened. I love that photo.
It's so funny. What else did I do over the weekend? Oh yeah, I watched a lot of TV the
following day just to recover and there were so many good shows I wanted to catch up on.
I watched the first four episodes of Heated Rivalry. I think maybe it's just the fourth
episode but it made me really sad and then I watched Pluribus. Oh my gosh, I freaking love
that show. I just love any kind of more unique show that gets you thinking and like, would you,
what side would you want to be on? What would that be like? I don't know. I love that show.
The first episode was so spooky and creepy and I loved it and I love where it's heading so far.
It's been a while since I watched a good show. I'm now using some blush. I'm going to be going
in a little bit of a silly order here for my cheek products but I wanted to add my blush right now
while my skin didn't have any powder. This is the MAC Glow Play Blush in the shade Blush Please.
I thought it would be like a nice pairing with the eye colors and I think that's gonna be perfect.
In one of my recent videos, I kind of shared the idea that I've been wanting to get into
some streaming and I was really excited to see that some of you guys were very excited about
that idea and it's kind of pushing me to want to do it more. I always loved video games. There's
so many ones that I play on the side and I just, I never thought about streaming them. I think I was
very intimidated by live streaming but the more I think about it, the more I think I would really
enjoy it. I would still be doing all this that I do here on YouTube and maybe branch out a little
bit into some other things. I have some exciting travel plans, like lifelong dream travel plans
coming up in 2026. I'm going to be going to Japan for over a month. I'm going to be doing
my dream dream dream trip with my mom and I cannot be more excited. So, I want to do a few videos
while I'm there. So, I don't know, I just want to do some fun things. But yeah, streaming has been
sounding really exciting to me. I think I was always intimidated because I was like, I don't
know what I'll be talking about all the time. One thing I really struggle here on YouTube with
is like talking to myself and I know I'm really funny but I find it kind of challenging to not
have somebody to bounce off of. So, I think having like a live chat or like bouncing off of you guys
would be so fun. There were times here that I was thinking about getting like a cardboard
cutout of a person to put behind the camera. So, it felt like I was talking to someone. I was like,
oh my gosh, that I would look literally even more insane instead of just talking to the four walls
in this room here. And I was also thinking of getting like Superman and then I was like, oh,
I'm not going to be able to talk at all. I'm going to be shy if I'm going to pretend that that's him.
So, anyways, um, the live chat sounds really appealing to me these days. I've been wanting
to get a PC for a long time. I'm just so intimidated by it because I'm like, I hear
these people saying that they're building one and I'm like, I don't know what that means.
But I hyper fixate on things and then I soon learn literally every single thing about them,
especially if I want to be doing something. So, I'm sure like next week I'll have it down pat
and then I'll suddenly be like one of the most knowledgeable people about PC computers out there
next week. A lot of the games I play were on Switch. I've always been a huge Nintendo girl.
I have a PS5 as well. I play Stardew on both devices and I've been playing a little bit of
Zoo Planet, Baldergate 3, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Tears of the Kingdom. I played those
till basically perfection. I've walked almost both of the entire maps. Oh, and of course,
Animal Crossing. I would love to share my island with you guys. I've been trying to get Molly on
my island for years. She's nowhere to be found in my game. Oh my gosh, I'm getting too excited
about talking about that. I just went on autopilot and I'm like, damn, I did that stuff already?
Okay, so I used the Essence Pure Nude Highlight as my highlighter here and then I used the Huda
Beauty Setting Powder in Pound Cake to set my face and to set the glitter in place. Oh my gosh,
that may have been the most like ADHD rant ever. So if you followed that,
gold stamp because I just felt my ADHD meds kick in. So sorry about that. Now I'm using my
Kaleidos palette in the shade Light to give some more structure to my face here and I'm mixing the
contour and the bronzing shade together just to get a two-in-one going here. I don't know,
I think it could be really fun and then I could do like nail streams like when I do my nails.
Maybe we could do like how to knit streams. I don't know, I feel like I could do a bunch of
fun things over there. I understand if that's not your vibe at all. I totally, totally get you. I
felt that way about streamers for the longest time until maybe this past year or so until I found
like a few that I really enjoy just having on in the background or if I'm like crafting doing my
nails or like knitting myself. I totally get it if you don't want that because I'll still be here
doing this. For my lips, I grabbed these two shades from MAC. They're both in the Teddy
line. So this is Warm Teddy and this is Cool Teddy. I'm going to be using Cool Teddy. That
looks really good with the blush to me. This is too brick toned for what I'm after. I just have
to pick a lip liner now. Probably one of these ones from Kaleidos because I'm addicted. That's
correct. Latitude. And this is Movement which would work too but I'm liking Latitude a little
bit to kind of add some brown. Let's see. Yeah, that's exactly what I was after. I think I was
hoping that would have a little bit more of like a peachy brightness to it. I feel like that looks a
little dull. I'm gonna go see if I can layer something on top of this. And also don't let
me forget about doing my brows. And I picked up Flesh Pot and a bit of a gloss for some machine.
This is Say Kiss. It's just basically like a sheer pink. Yeah. Okay, I gotta do my brows and
then I'll be able to tell. So please enjoy the kitten intermission. Thank you for having faith
in me when I did not because this turned out exactly how I wanted it to. I love the soft
smokiness with the Glitter Bomb. I think it's perfect for this New Year's Eve. And I'm liking
my softer lip. I've been using a lot of darker brown lip liners this year so it's a little
refreshing to see this. I want to take another moment to thank EIDL for sponsoring today's video.
I'll have all the pieces I'm wearing listed in the description box as well as my discount code,
just in case if you're thinking of shopping. And that's going to wrap things up on my end too.
Thank you for listening to my ADHD rant today. If you enjoyed it, please give it a thumbs up. I'll
have everything I use listed and linked in the description box down below so feel free to check
that out and I'll see you in my next video. Bye!
