Hoyt RX10 Ultra – First Impressions, Tuning & Performance

This is the new 2026 Hoyt RX10 Ultra For 2026 Hoyt has made several major changes Improvements made based on previous year's models I'm curious to open the box o see what they have done I have the bow in the wild color This is the RX10 Ultra You can see that it is more rugged Limpacket is this and this is the XTS exact adjustment system and we will use this A bit later in the picture but this is what I think everyone believes They asked for an easy way to micro-tune your box On the campsite side is the HBX Gen 4 The roller control here shows a A bit different from the 25 model I can see something is going to happen that we can be part of here Screws Of course the alignment system is exactly the same Let's get this box and dive into the specks on the box The RX10 is available in four different configurations You have the RX10 SD the short wheelbase version It is from 23 inches to 27 inches with the HBX cam The speed of that SD is 310 feet per second but remember tha He who is a master of a 27-inch turn So this is blisteringly fast for the short turn version The RX10 is a 342 ATA configuration The HBX cam is available for you from 25 inches to 30 inches It is 30 5 inches tall a box on top and 6.75 inches at counter height Of course a nice box for most men nice and small and compact The RX10 Ultra platform has a long-range version called the RX10 Ultra LD This ATA speed is 355 feet per second This will work on a 33-inch turntable The camera setting will be available from 31.25 to 33 The peak height is 7.5 inches and the box on box will be 33.5 inches Then the RX10 Ultra My choice for 2026 An ATA speed of 340 feet per second It has a height of 6.75 and a box-on-box length of 33.5 The cam can relax from 26 inches to 31 inches And the box setting on box will be from 40 pounds to 80 pounds In 10 pounds relax The most exciting thing for 2026 is Clearly the XDS system A simple way to relax your box But first let's take a run on the box because I want to check the poundage and if it's set to 70 and the specifications Exactly out of the box I have determined the whistle and the run I'm going to check the weight It should be 70 pounds it's out of the box we This box from the box is 29 and 8 That's good for me from the box With my dial setting at 29 inches As it is here I expect this box to be about 10 feet per second The longer you are the more you want for every inch you are shorter than 30 inches It loses 10 feet per second This box with an ATR of 340 I need to hit a 350 green ball at about 350 feet per second Check the spin setting now We were with this box fully rotated and just to be careful with this drawing It gives you 36.5 inches And why I really like this is because it gives you a steeper platform It will be more sustainable It will last longer 30 31 inch certainly better And for me as a 29-inch archer I like my piep closer to my eye I like that current I like not going into the current itself with a lot of pressure on my face with a very sharp streamer and a steeper than too steep streamer and that's what's fun I want to place this on a chronograph and this arrow is 350 grains and with the stream angle 70 pound 29 inch draw length I expect this arrow to shoot at about 330 feet per second It becomes very precious about what they sell how fast it will go I will also shoot a heavy arrow 650 grains just a little bit heavier than a regular arrow and then my hunting arrow is 500 grains And this is the arrow I will use for hunting and this gives you a good idea of 350 to 650 with with a nice 500 grains right in the per second is What I expected in my opinion with all those things on the real life setup with everything on it You get 326 feet per second with a 350 grain arrow It's 29 inches in my opinion that's a very nice speed but I also want to try it with a heavier arrow This is an Easter fully metal jacket dangerously playful Of course the arrow is good for this bow 244 feet per second that is with a 650 grains arrow but the arrow that I Use it a 500 grains arrow I think this is a nice arrow To catch the most animals I want to catch in South Africa completely play with your smaller airplane all the way to The wildebeest and the zebra and the eland Let's see what this is going to be 277.7 feet per second I like a speed that is close to 280 feet per second the main war is that it is much easier for me To get an actual wide airplane to certain places Clearly with mechanical I don't feel like increasing my speed o raise higher but with some of those specific places it is easier to Just to tune and get better at flying around 280 feet per second The faster the track the more obvious it is the faster the track the more noise the more chaos The more I think about the breadth and the speed of the plane 280 is a nice speed for me to shoot and the kinetic energy The energy per pound on this band is 85 foot-pounds of kinetic energy But that's a massive amount of foot-pounds of kinetic energy but what I want to do is shoot this through paper See how this XDS system works what's nice about the HBX Gen 4 system and what's true to tell about the short one drawing this system is an extremely efficient system what we found at a setting of 28 feet We had the same speed with a 650 green stick versus what we had with other boards and markets with 550 green ropes that is 28 and 29 feet this system shoots much faster than for example the RX8 and the Alpha X models which were affordable models the Hbx Gen 4 system is It's an efficient system do you remember before you eve Begin paper shoot make sure the system timing is in and you have the optimal spin and make sure there are no errors Knock pins in a loop I have people asking me you know that I work all day not a bullet hole what is
