Welcome back to the Happiness Garden channel. Today I begin the journey of reviving an orchid
that has just passed its glorious blooming season. When most of the leaves had fallen
only a single thin fragile leaf remained along with a rotted crown. The flower spike was almost
completely drained of vitality. First I cut off this flower spike and upon careful inspection
I noticed there was still a healthy dormant bud. It can be completely utilized for propagation.
After that I gently lifted the orchid out of the pot step by step removing all the old growing
medium clinging to the roots. This to clearly observe the plant's actual condition. I then
proceeded to completely remove any roots that were rotten, shriveled, dried out, or discolored
leaving only the roots that were still firm and healthy. This step helps eliminate potential
sources of disease and creates favorable conditions for for new root growth while
also allowing the allowing the orchid to focus its energy on recovery and preparation for the
next growth cycle. Which country are you watching this video from? Please leave a comment below and

Next I gently rinse the entire orchid under clean running water to wash away dirt, moss,
and any remaining pieces of growing medium clinging to the roots.
During this process I cleaned the plant while carefully observing each each root feeling its
firmness, color, and vitality to make sure that no damaged rotten or weak roots were left behind.
After rinsing I placed the orchid into clean cups to allow it to stabilize.
I prepared about one liter of clean water then added a few drops of methylene blue
and stirred well until the solution was completely dissolved.
Methylene blue is not just a simple disinfectant but also acts like a gentle protective layer for
the orchid after it has been injured. It helps eliminate any remaining pathogens and prevents
fungi and bacteria from attacking while also protecting the cut surfaces helping them dry
quickly and heal. When used correctly each drop of methylene blue feels like an added sense of
reassurance and hope. I will use this solution and gently soak about three quarters of the plant
enough for the solution to to come into contact with the stem and roots ensuring even disinfection
protecting the plant from pathogens and creating a safe foundation for the next stages of recovery
and growth. I let the orchid soak in this this solution for about 30 minutes. I didn't discard
the remaining solution but instead reused it to care for other plants. I gently wiped each leaf
removing dust and pathogens clinging to the surface helping the leaves stay clean and
well ventilated allowing the plant to breathe better and absorb light more effectively.
In addition this solution can also be lightly watered onto the growing medium
allowing it to soak evenly inside helping to clean the growing environment and eliminate
bacteria and fungi hidden deep within the medium. This not only reduces the risk of root rot and
future infections but also creates a cleaner more airy and safer growing medium. Next I prepare a
recovery fertilizer made from bananas. First I take the banana peel and then cut it into small
pieces so the nutrients can be released more easily during soaking. Banana peels are naturally
rich in potassium, phosphorus, and various trace elements essential nutrients that help stimulate
root growth nourishing healthy green leaves and supporting the orchid in regaining vitality.
This is an easily found ingredient rich in natural nutrients and safe for orchids.
I placed the chopped banana pieces into a clean jar then added about one liter of warm water.
The warm water helps quickly release the nutrients from the banana peel including potassium, phosphorus,
calcium, and essential trace elements. This process allows the nutrients to dissolve into the water
more easily helping the orchid absorb nutrients effectively when watered stimulating strong root
growth glossy green leaves and preparing well for new shoots and flowers. After that I let the banana
peels soak for about five hours. After soaking I poured out the solution and strained out the banana
residue keeping the clear liquid. Straining out the residue removes leftover banana pieces preventing
root blockage or excessive moisture retention in the growing medium. Next I added 500 milliliters
of clean water and stirred well ensuring the solution was uniform. To make the solution more
nutrient rich I added one tablespoon of honey. Honey contains many vitamins minerals and natural
sugars providing quick energy for the plant. At the same time it helps stimulate beneficial
microorganisms in the growing medium improving the roots ability to absorb nutrients. In addition
honey has mild antibacterial properties helping protect the roots and stem from pathogens
creating a solid foundation for the orchid's recovery and vigorous growth.
After soaking three quarters of the orchid in the nutrient-rich mixture I gently peeled off
the protective layer from the dormant bud allowing the nutrients to penetrate directly inside and
stimulate the dormant bud to sprout quickly. To allow the nutrients to deeply penetrate the plant
I let the orchid soak in the mixture for about 30 minutes. After soaking in the solution for 30
minutes I gently removed the orchid and carefully dried each part with a soft cloth. This helps
remove excess solution preventing over retention of moisture while retaining the nutrients that
have deeply penetrated the dormant bud roots and stem providing the best conditions for the orchid
to recover and grow strong. Once all parts of the plant were completely dry I carefully sprinkled
cinnamon powder onto each cut. Cinnamon powder not only helps with antibacterial and antifungal
protection but also forms a thin protective layer over the wounds preventing bacteria, fungi, and
pathogens from entering. This helps minimize the risk of root rot or infection during the recovery
process. After completing all the preparation and care steps I replanted the orchid. I made use of
recycled plastic cups along with two pieces of foam. The plastic cups keep the plant stable
while the foam pieces help with proper drainage and maintain just the right moisture
for the roots creating an ideal environment for the orchid to recover grow new roots and shoots
and prepare for future blooming seasons. I planted the base of the orchid where many healthy green
roots remain directly into a mixture of pine bark and moss. The pine bark ensures good drainage
while the moss retains adequate moisture and provides an airy environment for root growth.
Once the planting is complete I gently poured water so the foam pieces could absorb enough
moisture creating a moderately humid environment for the orchid's roots to thrive. After that the
main task is daily observation, monitoring the plant's recovery, and adding water twice a week.
After 50 days of patient care and observation my orchid has recovered remarkably. The base where I
nutrients and careful care has now grown a healthy sturdy new plant showing that the orchid's latent
vitality remains very strong. The dormant bud on the plant has now sprouted producing a tiny new
orchid. Although still small the new shoot is full of vitality a clear testament to the orchid's
miraculous revival. Watching this tiny new plant grow I feel hope and fresh energy spreading
throughout the garden. Finally let's admire this special surprise a vibrant new leaf has emerged
and new roots are growing directly from the leaf base. This scene is truly wonderful a testament
to the orchid's strong vitality and miraculous ability to revive. To help the orchid grow even
better I will plant it in a new medium of pine bark and moss. Pine bark ensures effective drainage
keeping the roots well aerated while the moss retains moderate moisture providing an ideal
environment for strong root growth. And that is the miraculous revival journey of this orchid
from fallen leaves and withered flower spikes to healthy new shoots and vibrant new roots full of
life. Through each care step and every drop of nutrients we not only nurture the orchid but also
cultivate patience love and hope within ourselves. Trust the process care for each new shoot and leaf
and you will be rewarded with the vibrant beauty and strong vitality of your beloved orchids.
