British Guy Tries New York's Iconic Foods!🇺🇸

A lot of you guys have told me I need to get a hot dog from Nathan's Famous. Hopefully this is the right place. Hopefully yeah, hopefully this is the right place. Hot dog food court, alright, New York City. Let's try it. It does look really good, I can't lie. It does look good. Right now, the worst part about eating hot dogs in the snow, I've got to take off my glove and my hands are freezing. So, we got a chilli dog, he said ketchup and mustard, I said yes. I'm basing it by looks. How is the bread? The bread looks a bit like... It's crispy. Yeah. It's kind of toasted. The other ones were very like soft, like soggy. I do like how this looks toasted. Look at that. Here we go. Oh, don't tell me the best hot dog is when I'm full up from breakfast. That's the best. Even the one from yesterday? That's the best hot dog we've had here. Wait, show me the inside. Oh, see look, that's like a thicker hot dog as well. Alright, you guys said go to Napers. Okay, you guys don't like. This is really, really, really good. I'm jealous. I can't believe it's this good and you get it from a food court. Shall I do a couple laps around Battery Park so I'm hungry? Yeah. The chilli is like home-cooked chilli. The chilli tastes home-cooked, which is just really warm and nice. The sausage meat, juicy, very juicy. The ketchup was superb. This is the best hot dog I've had. I'm blown away that you literally get this food, this good, in a car on the side of a road. Now that blows my mind. You go to a car on the side of the road in the UK, you probably get food poisoning. I'm not going to lie. The meat's horrible. Yeah, it's not good. This is unbelievable. You need to get one. I'll just have a little bite of yours. This is the best hot dog I've ever had in my life. Wow, I'm hearing a lot of that this trip and I'm not really liking it. It's good food. Do you want a bite? Yeah, I will. Do you want me to record you having a bite? See what's so good about this stupid hot dog. No, it's really good. Look at it. You have a bite and tell us what it's like. It's so good. Good, isn't it? Yeah. You see what I mean? That is the best one. That's the best one? It is. That's the best hot dog we've had in New York. This right here, Nathan's Hot Dogs, banging me. Banging, banging, banging, banging, banging. This is the biggest pretzel I've ever seen in my whole entire life. Look at that. It's warm as well. It's like hard and warm. Put it next to your head. You don't get pretzels this big in the UK. So, hey, I'm excited to try it. Let's get straight into it and see what this pretzel is all about. Oh, I can smell it. That smells nice. I don't know what's on that. But that flavour, as soon as I bit into it, it was like pow. It like took me by surprise. That was like a lot. Oh my God, that's strong. Is it? Strong of what? It's like a strong like flavour of like... I'm going to have to try this. What does it taste like? Like a donut? Like what? So... Because our pretzels that we normally eat, you can get bigger ones, but they're like small and hard. They're like kind of like a cracker, aren't they? Yeah. But that looks like a donut on the inside. So it's soft, but this layer on here is like the strongest pretzel flavour thing I've ever had in my life. Like, I bit into it and it was like... It took me by... Yeah, that's super nice. But as a Brit, I need to get used to it. Try that. It's breaking off a little bit. Nice, innit? I know what you're about. It is very strong. How is it? It's like the salt. Very salty. Yes, very salty. Very, very, very salty. Very, very, very tasty. I don't know if it's because I'm British, and I'm not used to it, but that's like a kick in like your mouth. Wait, are these like salt on... Is that what the topping is? It might be, I don't know. Is it salt? I think so. Break off a little bit of the... It's got to be right because it's very salty. I think so. We'll break it off a little bit more. You want some more? Yeah. Can't do this with gloves on. We don't have stuff like this in the UK, man. We're not used to this kind of stuff. What food would you say this is? Like breakfast, like a snack? Yeah, just snack. Like just on the go snack. Wow. Oh my God. Jeez. Is it weird if it's made me crave a doughnut though? It's the doughy part. Yeah, it's the doughy part. Like now I'm thinking about doughnut. You guys in America, I see what you're saying about flavour because if you come to the UK, I'm not surprised you think everything's bland. Like I'm not surprised. Going from this to a UK breadsome, it would be like going from something with flavour to dough. Like there's nothing like that. I can imagine like having different kind of things on there because I did see a cheese one. Oh yeah. So it would make sense you get like a cheesy one. But honestly, really, really, really good. I wonder how a chocolate one like dipped in chocolate would be. Of course you want a chocolate one. This is the serious room right here. This is huge. This is what I'm talking about. We have a pastrami bagel from Liberty Bagels. Yeah, it looks so good. Look at this. Get close up on that. I don't even know what pastrami is. That looks so good. I'm so excited for this. Oh my God, it's so big. Look at the cheese just pulling apart. Are you ready? Because I don't think I'm ready. Yeah. That's unreal. Pastrami tastes like really, really good bacon. And then the cheese in there as well. That's unbelievable. That's definitely the best bagel I've ever had in my life. This is so filling. Like that small bite right here was like a whole bagel in the UK. But that means so good. It's like juicy with the cheese. That's the best bagel I've ever had in my life. Everything bagel as well. But this is like, look at that. You can't get bagels like this in the UK. You just can't. It's not possible. So good. Oh wait, there's mustard in there. I went from the middle. Oh, we've unlocked a new flavor. Every single bite is like a new flavor now. That's unbelievable. That's banging. That is so good. I've been looking forward to this moment. Chili cheese dog in New York City. Oh man, that is good. That is a good dog. Try and look at the inside. The chili is actually amazing. You can't get something like this in the UK. Not at all, not at all. That's a good hot dog. Now let's go with the regular. And then obviously we've got to try the normal basic one as well, which is just a regular. We've got the mustard, the ketchup. It's not a very good shot. Look, my fingers are so frozen. The mustard looks very brown. Yeah, the thing is we get, we buy like American mustard. And it's yellow. When we like get hot dogs and it's bright yellow. And every mustard that I've seen here, it's like kind of like our Dijon mustard. Yeah. Which I don't like. That's great, isn't it? But you know with these hot dogs, right? I always thought with these hot dogs, obviously you could probably get bigger ones somewhere else. But I thought these would be massive. Yeah, we get bigger hot dogs at like our, you know, like food stands like in the UK. Yeah, they're not as big as I thought it was going to be. But obviously you could probably like find places where they're absolutely huge. Yeah, but I'm disappointed. I wanted like, we brought, I bought a jumbo hot dog. It was smaller than that. I was not impressed. I'm supposed to be in America. All right, let's try the regular. That is banging. The sausage itself. Oh, man. That's L3WG having his first hot dog in America. I approve. These are really, really good ones. Grazed papaya. But yeah, no, these are really, really good. We've done it. New York hot dog. Ticked. Approved. We're at the Chelsea Market. And I got a cheesecake, right? But you guys know I like cheesecake. This is an ice cream cheesecake, which I've never had before, never heard of. When she said it, I was like, huh? I said, what do you mean ice cream? Right? I was confused. I was confused when she said it. I asked for cheesecake, and she was saying it's ice cream cheesecake. I don't know. It's a nice big slice. I don't know. I see the base. I see the top. I don't know which part's ice cream and which part's cheese. I'm guessing that it's like ice cream and I don't know. Let's see what it's like. That's really good cheesecake. I don't know as well. And what? The ice cream's in there as well. I kind of forgot that it's ice cream. What is it? So it's like you've got the strawberry sauce. Is it like different layers? You've got the strawberry. Then I think the ice cream's at the top. And then the cheese. And then the base. So yeah, it's just a mix. So it's pretty much cheesecake with just ice cream in there as well. Let's try one of the strawberries. Oh, it's a big slice. I thought it was the ice cream. Brain freeze. My brain's frozen. Don't go too big of a bite. I got the base. I got a bit of everything in this one. That's really good. It's freezing cold outside. So I would prefer it without the ice cream right now. Yeah, I don't know why. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Out of all things. I would prefer it without the ice cream. But I can imagine that like on a nice hot day with the ice cream. But it is really good cheesecake. We went to a very cute waffle place passing by New York. We just seen it. We had to try it. We have a hot chocolate, which I'm going to try first. And then I got a s'mores waffle that we're going to try after. This was good. That waffle looks unreal. So really excited to try this. But let's see the hot chocolate because I'm freezing and I need to warm up a bit. It said it was the best in New York. It had a sign. Apparently the best in New York. It's an award winner. Oh, yeah. That is good. That's very good hot chocolate. That is very, very good hot chocolate. We're in America, Lewis. It's hot cocoa. Hot cocoa? Hot cocoa. That's a very, very, very good hot cocoa. Oh, that's nice. This is warming me up as well. That tastes good. It's nice. It's warm. Solid. Right. Now, main thing. The main event. The s'mores waffle. Okay. Oh, look, I like. This is going to be good. I need to get a bit with a lot of chocolate. To be fair, it don't really seem like there's much chocolate on it. S'mores waffle. Let's see if this is the best in New York. That is good. Wait, is that got, like, caramel on it? I'm tasting the marshmallow. I'm tasting the chocolate. And then look right here. There's, like, another layer of, like, beige-y stuff here. And that's really nice. That's amazing. I've not tried any other waffles in New York, but that is, like, 10 out of 10. So, all good waffles.
