How to Draw a Cute Cat Easy | Sanrio Charmmy Kitty

Hi guys, Wendy here. Today we're going to draw Charmy Kitty from Sanrio. Hope you have your marker or your pencil ready so we can get started. We're going to first start by drawing this bow that's on Charmy Kitty's head. So right in this area I'm going to start by drawing an oval for the center of our bow. So I'm just going to come here and it's going to be at a slight slant. So it's just kind of like a little oval right here at an angle. And from there we're going to bring out some of the loops for the bow. So I'm just going to come out and I'm going to bring it in and out and bring it back in. So I'm going to do the same thing on this side because it's all slanted down. So we're going to come over here and we're going to slant down. And then you can come in here and just draw some curves inside for some detail. Okay, so then now let's draw the tail of the bow. So I'm going to come in here under this loop and bring out a curve. And right here and draw the tail and connect it. So same thing on this side. So about right here and once again go in and out and connect. So we've got our bow in. Now we can draw the top of the head. So I'm going to come in this area. I know this bow is kind of like at a slant on one ear. So I'm just going to come about right here in this area right here and just draw a curve. So this is going to be the top of Charmy Kitty's head. And from there, I'm going to bring out an ear. So I'm going to come out and I'm just going to come draw some zigzags and bring it in. And so then from there, I'm going to come in this area, imagining this curve going all the way. So then about right here, I'm just going to bring out a curve. And so before we finish this side, let's come back over here and draw the other ear. So this is the top of the head. So then about right here, I'm just going to draw the other ear. So once again, I'm doing the same thing. I'm going to go up and zigzag. So I'm just going to come up right here at this highest point and just drag a point across. So I know I don't go too high up. So it's kind of the same on both sides. So that's my highest point. And I'm just going to draw some zigzags and bring it in for the other ear. OK, so then from there, let's start to draw the bottom of the kitty's face. So I'm going to come out and bring a curve out and bring it in and out for the zigzags. So let's do the same thing on this side. So just imagine this with a bow. If you're using a pencil, you don't have to draw the bow first. Just draw the head shape first and it'll be easier for you to figure out where to put the bow. But because I'm using a Sharpie, I have to draw it a slightly different way so I don't have to erase too much. OK, so from here, I'm just going to bring it out kind of like the other side and zigzag. And I'm going to start to draw a really wide curve to connect all of this. So let's just go ahead and draw this big curve for her head. Oops. And connected. OK, so this is wide shape right here at the bottom. So now from there, we can come into this area where her eyes are going to be towards the bottom. So about, let's see here. Let me draw her nose first. I'm going to put her nose kind of in the center area. So kind of know where to put the eyes. So slightly towards the bottom right here. I'm going to draw an oval right there in the center, a little bit off center towards the left side a little bit more. And then right here on the top, I'm going to draw her eyes. So just a circle right here. And the same thing right across about right here and draw another circle. There. So then let's make them draw so cute eyes, of course. So two small circles inside for highlight. This is a draw so cute, charming kitty. But if you like the original Sanrio charming kitty eyes, I think it's just a plain black oval. So play around with this. See which one you like more. OK, so and then the lines at the bottom. So same thing on this side. Two small circles and a curved line at the bottom and shade in the top. Try to fix my circle. OK, that's the nice thing about draw so cute eyes. It's easy to fix. OK, and then the lines at the bottom. There I got two eyes. And so let's come up here. I'm just going to draw a small little curve at the top to anchor my eyes. And if you wanted, you could add some lashes. I'm just going to add some right here. And let's see here. Before we're done, we need to draw some whiskers. So I'm going to come in this area right close to the eyes. And I'm just going to drag out three curves. So same thing about right here. Two and three. OK, so we have to head in. Now let's draw the body. So with the body, we're going to let's see here. We're going to come out about right here and draw some fur zigzags that come out and in. And in this area, we're going to bring out her body to the back. That's why the nose is slightly not in the center, because you're going to be seeing part of her body, more of her body on this side. So that's why when you draw the nose, don't smack it right in the center. Just offset it a little bit. OK, so let's come in here, draw her body, bring this in. And in this area right here, we're just going to bring out her front legs. So it's just a curve down. And let's see. Let's bring it back up. Very simple little curve that comes out. And when you come back in here, you can draw some zigzags for her fur. And then this side right here, draw another curve and tuck it in. You can come back in here in the paw area and just draw two curves and maybe one on the back one. OK, so then from there, let's finish this off. We're going to bring it around and say about right here. I'm going to draw a curve for her back legs and bring in another curve and just connect it. And right here, I'm just going to finish it off with a curve for her belly. And in this area, once again, you can draw two small little curves and now her tail. So I'm going to come in here and draw a very poofy, short little tail. And now to draw her little necklace collar. So I'm going to come in this area and just going to draw some circles. I'm just going to connect these circles all the way back. OK, and then right in this area right here, I'm going to draw the key. So it's basically kind of like a little oval like that, like a teardrop shape. And then it's a key. So this is my center. So there is pretty much it for this charming kitty from Sanrio.
