After Earth Roamers made over 400 trucks approximately, the LTX is probably the best of the best in
my opinion.
So this is the first model produced.
It's the model that they've used for testing.
It's built on the F550 platform and it's the brand new F550 as you can kind of tell from
the headlights and the way it's set up.
So of course on the front you have the giant front bumper with the Baja design lights and
these are the brand new orange amber look that Baja designs have just come out with.
And you have a 16.5 worn winch, factor 55 recovery point on the front so if you need
to pull yourself out of a sticky situation, it's perfect set up for that right there at
the front.
Following on the theme of lights, you have these ditch lights up at the top which provide
a ton of lighting and give you a very wide spread.
So the tires are now on the new LTX 43 inch and they're the Michelin tires.
They have a higher speed rating than our truck does, the LTS, which is rated to 65 miles
per hour, the Goodyear, and they're 41 inch tires.
So now you have a little bit bigger tire but you also have a little bit more lift as well.
So overall the truck's a few inches taller than the LTS or LTI was.
So on the inside you still have the luxury Ford interior but you have a few key upgrades
from Earthroamer.
So starting right here you have the airlift systems, you're able to adjust all four corners
independently, like you can on their other trucks, but it's really nice that again that's
kept in this truck and then of course you have the giant screen that comes in the brand
new Fords.
Up here you have the standard aux switches which are all labeled by what you have set
up.
So on this one you have the front camera, rooftop camera, flare camera, two-wheel drive
low, light bar, and off-road lights.
And then up here you have some additional lighting.
So on this truck you have rock lights, A-pillar lights, so the ditch lights, and the back
light as well.
So seeing the way this truck's configured, we're actually going to set up ours a little
bit more like this because back in the day we actually built an off-road Jeep kind of
like this and it worked really well to be able to have some underneath lighting which
was amber color at camp.
So it helps with not having a bunch of bugs and you could sit outside without killing
your night vision.
Plus you have the ditch light so it really helps see animals and wildlife that are on
the sides of the road.
So I really love how much lighting and the way it's set up on this truck.
So we're actually going to try to incorporate that into our build at some point as well.
This is the same texture coating which is really scratch resistant and it goes from
the truck cab all the way to the camper shell as well.
And then on the LTX, the camper shell is carbon fiber just like the LTI was.
The big difference about the shell as you'll see is that this is the first earthroamer
with a roof rack on the top.
So it makes it a lot more modular where you can change the solar panel setup down the
road if you need to or other configurations without having to drill in and patch the roof
of the earthroamer.
On the LTX, they took inspiration from the SX which has this giant heated basically like
almost like a winter gear storage, right?
So it's a perfect place that goes all the way through to our side.
You could open both hatches to store skis or other cold wet things and it has a built
in heater.
Plus the big difference is there is now the outdoor shower that's in the back hatch so
you don't have to worry about winterizing it when you're using the truck in the winter
which is a big upgrade for this truck.
And then it just sticks back into its spot plus there's power outlets in here, lighting
and this one has shovels and axes mounted in here as well.
Plus all these boxes are controlled by the key fob.
So if you lock or unlock the truck, it unlocks and locks all the boxes around the vehicle.
So the really cool thing about the rear is they've changed the complete configuration
because you have the inside storage, you don't really need to box on the rear.
So now the box is a side mount box or a side entrance box and not a rear entrance box.
And it's a taller box.
So this one works a little differently where the grill slides out.
This is the smoker.
You can opt to have different options.
Instead of it pulling out the back, it slides out the side and it is really tall but you
can drop the whole truck down at camp on the air suspension and get it down so you can
actually use it and cook with it.
The reason this is so nice is because, because of this, they're able to set up the spare
in a different way, which is really game changer.
If you have to get the spare down off the truck to be able to change your tire.
Another big upgrade on this one is the front racks and then the tables underneath.
So the big difference is there's no longer the table that's bolted to the box that's
upside down.
So now you can have the table and the rack and keep stuff on top without having to take
those things off to get the table out.
The other new thing on this box is this panel.
So you're able to use this panel to strap on like trash bags or other things that you
want to have on the back or like this is set up with the bike rack.
So the wheels go up there and then the back wheel comes down here and they hang off and
then they just bolt on.
So this is the huge difference.
So now the spare is mounted on the side instead of in the cab, which you can see up above
gives you the ability to have a rear window on the back, which is so cool on the inside.
Plus this has basically the winch tire pull down all built in and you don't have to kind
of configure it if you have to change it.
So you just pull the boards off and you can lower the spare tire and then you could raise
up the tire that you want to put back on after you've swapped your spare.
Now, one of the biggest things is the interior layout configuration and by far is one of
the coolest things about this truck.
When I first saw this, I almost didn't want to go in because I knew it was going to make
me love this model so much more than our current truck and I love a current truck.
I love a rig, but this was just, it's a game changer.
It's amazing.
It's just so beautiful and it's so spacious and everything about it is just like, this
is how you want to live in an off-road vehicle.
So starting in the kitchen, I mean, first of all, this countertop is just so gorgeous.
It's even nicer than the ones we have in our house.
I love it.
Huge deep sink here.
These matte black finishes are just like, yes, I love it.
And then the stove is actually under the countertop, right?
So they have the induction stoves in Arthromer and so you use like induction pots and pans
and things.
You put your pan on it and then it senses that your pan is there and it will heat up
and cook, but then you don't have like the extra lip of the cooktop on top and you can
use this as a big full counter space.
I honestly, because we work remote, I would probably just stand here and take my laptop
and just use this as a standing desk for when I wanted it.
Of course, these windows have every single window and these have the blackout shades
that pull up, the bug screens that go down and these can pop open.
So when your Arthromer is lowered and you're at camp, it's like a food truck window.
So you can be cooking here and then you like pass the food out to the people hanging outside.
Down here, we've got our microwave and pots and pans and cookie things underneath.
I'm pretty sure this is a microwave and a convection oven and maybe it's an air fryer
too, I think.
I hope it's an air fryer too.
That'd be really cool.
I got broom and trash can here and then right underneath, this is the vacuum.
So I can take my little broom and just sweep, sweep, sweep and it'll suck all the dirt up
and then you don't have to carry an extra vacuum with you.
So that's pretty cool.
And then, of course, just a bunch of, oh, I didn't realize the knives were set up different
in this one.
This is cool.
So it's like a double layer knife block here and then, let's see, oh yeah, this is different
than the other ones too where all the silverware and if you're not familiar, the cool thing
about the silverware in these is that it's all like tucked into their own special little
spots.
So you're not going to clang around as you drive off road.
You just have to use a little bit of effort to get them back in.
And then I think these two are just empty.
Yeah, just like random kitchen stuff.
And here, oh, cute little foot.
Like every Earthroamer, the LTX also comes with everything in its nice, perfect fitted
spot so nothing will break or clang around.
This one here, again, totally empty.
You can use it for pantry type things as well in your kitchen.
And then the cool thing about this one is they changed up the coffee situation here
too.
So this middle drawer pulls out your Keurig and your coffee mugs right here.
So you can have it and then you can just like tuck it away once you're done, right?
It's just its own little cabinets, perfect right there.
And then this one is your pantry here, about the same size as the other ones.
So no major difference here on pantry size, but you also have your wine shelf in this
one.
And what's different is that ours have stemmed wine glasses and this one is the stemless
wine glasses.
So I don't know if you care about your stems or no stems, but I actually prefer a no stem
glass myself.
So those are really nice.
And oh, did you see that?
It light on, light off, light on.
It's the little things, right?
It's little things.
Okay.
So then of course you've got big, huge fridge right here and then a freezer, but, or it
could also be a fridge because there's two of them.
So the second one, here we go.
Freezer fridge.
So you could set this to fridge temperature.
You could set this one to freezer temperature.
So you've got a whole bunch of extra space here, way more than the other previous models.
Another really great kitchen feature is right here.
This actually slides out really far, keeps going.
And you get extended countertops.
If this giant countertop wasn't enough for you, you get even more.
And I'm pretty sure, Oh, hold on.
Check that out.
Now it's one giant continuous countertop.
That's pretty cool.
I'm going to have to figure out how to put it back.
Now this is exactly the same length as our rig, but the big difference is that this space
feels so much bigger because of the seating, right?
And because you, you get these extra few feet back here where the tire used to sit.
Now this is all just living area.
So for us, this would be really nice because we could both work here at a table, working
remote back here.
You could also just eat dinner back here at a designated table spot.
So many more windows down here and the TV on the side, which I like the side pop up.
So, so, okay.
So let me explain.
This whole thing just raises up and then it lowers back down again and you get a window
behind us.
So you can sit here and like watch your dinner, watch your TV while you eat dinner.
You can turn this whole thing because this table lowers down and you can make this into
like a big bed lounge area and you can like have a little sleepover and watch your TV.
But the nice thing about this one for I really like is that it comes from the side instead
of down from the top, because that means it's just a little bit more accessible and easy
to view.
Now you can't watch TV while you cook as easily in this model as you would in the SX
when you see the TV that actually comes down from the ceiling.
But I think for what like we'd be using this for is more of like a lounging, eating, watching
some TV after dinner.
This side up on the side is very preferred.
I like this one a lot.
Oh, and there's charging outlets back here as well.
So you can just stick your phone back here.
So it has much more of a like living feeling in the LTX versus the LTI or the LTS, which
is set up really similarly to a lot of sprinter van conversions.
This feels much more like a luxurious like RV type experience.
This also the way they set up with the couches in the back, I think gives a lot more storage
space.
So you have your closet back here and then these three large drawers.
Now the LTS like we have has six large drawers and there's only three here.
So you might lose a little bit of space in that way.
But I think overall you get it back in other areas, right?
Not just in these drawers.
And then because right here by the door is where a lot of that storage comes back.
These actually pop open to be another whole closet area.
Oh, there we go.
A whole noth...
Oh, look, it lights up too.
Another whole closet area, which again, there's hooks here so you could hang your jackets
right when you come in the door like a coat closet, right?
So you have a little coat closet.
You could put some shoes and other things in here if you wanted to.
And then this one folds down, which is perfect for shoes and actually there's actually this
like rubberized texture mat thing.
So I could throw my boots in there and I'm going to actually do that now so I can jump
on the bed in a moment.
I say like they're all muddy from adventuring and stuff, just get tucked away here, right?
No one can see them.
And then same thing down here.
So you could have a ton of different shoes.
Up here is another little cabinet here.
Some shorter, smaller shelves.
So even though you have less by the closet, you really make it up in all of this space
over here too.
Now there's also, to get up to the bed, this stairs, which like pull this...
Oh, here we go.
Okay.
You can have stairs here, which you just pull out.
It's kind of a little heavier.
I probably wouldn't use this every single day.
I guess if you really wanted the stairs, you could use them.
That or it's a user error.
I don't know.
Probably anticipating the fact that not everyone's going to want to use the stairs.
There's a little foot cutout here and you can just pop your foot in here, grab the bar
and climb on up.
So I can sit up with the skylight right here.
Perfectly normal.
I'm about 5'5", and so the skylight allows my head to not even touch.
Not under the skylight.
I don't quite fit as much, but if you wanted to lounge up here, you could easily just put
a pillow right here behind you and kind of like sit and hang on the bed this way as well.
This is a massive size bed and there's a lot of really great features here in the bed area
as well.
Earth Remark clearly took some client feedback here because I love the way they set up this
area.
There's outlets here on the side and our outlets are kind of up here and our cords and everything
would dangle, but they put this almost like a side table right here by the outlets.
Your phone can just sit right on it and then there's all this extra storage and of course
it lights up so you don't have to like dig around in the dark down here.
It's pretty deep, you can see like my palm is flat in here and my elbow goes all the
way in.
So there's actually quite a bit of storage and that's on both sides and you get a wireless
charging pad here, a USB-C port, and then a mystery button.
I'm going to just press it.
Oh, it turns off your ambient lighting so you don't have individually reading lights
like we do in our rig.
You just have these above the windows back here.
And of course, you've got a smaller TV back here that you can watch as well from bed with
a sound bar.
It swivels out.
I guess you can probably swivel this one out and watch it from the kitchen as well.
So you have multiple options there in this area.
Oh look, I like the hooks on the outside.
That's nice.
And where they're positioned, I don't feel like you'd like take an eye out either when
you're walking through here.
Now I think this is the best part of the interior here is the bathroom.
Just the way they did the interior design of this space is so lovely.
It's still one space, it's still a wet bath with your shower head here, your toilet here,
but now with all the wood on the floor, wood here, you could sit and you could shower and
things and not feel like it's all quite so wet.
This is where they keep the toilet paper and other little like things that you want to
keep in here like your lotions and your face wash and all that.
I love that they actually have like a nice sink in this one.
Again, it feels just very luxurious, very like at home, right?
Not that you're transitioning to living like off grid, but you could still feel like creature
comforts.
And inside is a medicine cabinet too, where you can store all of your stuff, this nice
big mirror.
And then finally, another storage spot up above.
So you can keep all your things right here in the bathroom without feeling like you have
to grab things from another drawer.
So there's so much storage space in here.
And of course, a few hooks right here too for towels and such.
The only thing I think you really lose in this bathroom versus what we have in our LTS
is the like folding closet space.
So here, I don't think there's a way where you can like create that extra space.
And so if you're getting out of the shower, you really truly are like showering and like
I'm here with the rest of your family who might be in there.
The nice thing about the LTS is you can create your own little cubby, but I feel like most
people are probably living in this as like a couple instead of like a whole group of
people.
So that's how we live in our infirmary.
So that doesn't bother me and I would definitely take this bathroom without the extra cubby
space any day.
And then finally, another feature I really love are these doors that close to the cab.
So unlike the leather curtain of the older models, this one really feels like you're
just closing off that space.
There's a nice beautiful wood finish like everything else.
And again, this feels like you've got like truck side and you've got luxurious camper
side, but you can still open this up and crawl right on through to the back of the cab.
If I had any option in the entire world, this would be the rig I choose.
It's just so incredibly luxurious.
It is such a good use of space.
They've truly thought of everything.
They are so thoughtful in every single finishing, every detail, how it all functions.
It is honestly so incredible and I'm a little jealous.
Definitely going to be scheming for a way to get my hands on one of these LPXs.
