Sylvester Stallone on Receiving a Kennedy Center Honor

Perhaps the greatest underdog in the history of cinema, Sylvester Stallone. It's one thing to be celebrated like a premiere of a movie but this was very emotional. I mean this is like almost an out-of-body, a journey and to be celebrated by this president and so many of our friends showed up. We peaked. My brother really hit it hard emotionally. It was a fantastic journey down memory lane as we say. I go oh my god there's Bill Conte, there's the music. Especially the way the music is played with this kind of orchestra. It was great. It was never about a goal or Anthony. I just felt there was so much stuff inside that I had to get out and it turned out to be the right thing because other people related to it. I am not uncommon. I'm common. I sort of share the same emotions and fears and quests and visions that other people have. So I'm just a regular guy.
