It's my first time in Louisville, Kentucky and I am here for the famous bourbon trail! As a whiskey lover, I was so excited to visit some of the distilleries and have some tastings. We visited Copper & Kings, Rabbit Hole, Old Forester, and Angel's Envy. I hope you enjoy watching this video as much as I had fun whiskey tasting and filming :)

Hello and welcome.
If you're new here, my name is Judy.
And today, we are at Louisville, Kentucky.
We are here because we want to go on the Bourbon Trail
because we love whiskey.
We've already gone on one tour at the Copper and Kings Distillery.
They showed us all their barrels, so many barrels.
Our lovely tour guide, Sarah, gave us all the details of making the true whiskey.
They had a lot of brandy, bourbon, and gin as well.
To age everything, we actually use music.
So this is a process, it's called sonic aging, and it really is the element of producing
sound waves so that it breaks up the flocking on the interior of the barrel.
And by doing that, we don't have to rotate your stuff and adjust for shits and giggles
and just see exactly what happens with it.
They are using a conglomeration of like your super, super sweet table apple, so something
you would typically have like with your lunch or even at your dinner.
And typically, it's always going to be even partially fermented.
The rest of the apples that they're using are going to be the ones that are going to
be a little bit more tart.
Typically, a lot of people will use them for culinary purposes or cidery purposes, and
they're about yay big, so they're very diminutive.
It brings a little bit more of a tartine, citrus note.
We don't sample people on this because your palate is going to make you go one way or
the other.
It's just going to be where your palate sits.
This is 92 proof.
You're not going to be feeling heat so much here in your chest.
It's going to be more so at the tip of the tongue and kind of like a warmth that you
pick up around your lips.
Now this is very earthy, kind of like almost like applesauce earthy.
Yeah.
And me at home, I end up using this a lot of the time for apple and ginger beer or even
doing a Manhattan or sometimes I use it actually a lot of the times I use it within my cooking.
Dion in all Nike wear today.
What is he wearing?
Nike.
What is he not wearing?
Not Nike.
And what are you making for us Dion?
I'm basically just making a Sazerac.
My version of Sazerac.
I'm going to put absinthe.
I'm going to use a glass of absinthe.
And then I'm going to put a bunch of thyme to follow through on it.
It's going to be very delicious.
Okay.
It's kind of weird, but you can try it out.
Tell me what you think about it.
It just straight up tastes like licorice.
Oh.
Really?
The finish.
What would you rate it out of 10?
I.
No pressure, but.
I give it like a 7.1.
7.1.
That's a C.
C.
You do not notice it.
So see if we're already dealing with the oils that are settling there along the bottom.
So that can't be all the settling.
Oh wow.
If you end up adding enough, it outweighs everything.
So that's literally settling there along the bottom.
And then they end up rinsing the glass of the absinthe.
And then you end up.
Nice.
Thank you.
Alright.
Mix it up with some ice.
Licorice?
Not as like licorice as I thought.
See it's not that bad.
Like not as licorice as I thought.
Now I have to try the real licorice.
Oh gosh.
This is.
I was like hey I'm going to be drinking at 12.
They actually use the water.
It clouds up like this.
We had a fun tasting.
A lot of drinks.
Deep.
And now we are at Biscuit Belly.
To grab some food.
This is our first meal of the day.
So we basically went on the tour.
On an empty stomach.
Tater tots.
Biscuit.
The Rockwell.
And the Biscuit Benny.
We're at Biscuit Benny's right now.
How would you rate the food?
I already had one thing.
10 out of 10.
We got the tots.
Huge chunks.
Dippled sauce.
Whatever is in here.
And whatever is on the outside.
Playing around.
So crispy and crunchy.
We have no idea what's inside.
But it's so good.
This is the Rockwell biscuit.
Look at that biscuit.
It's huge.
And look at that sauce.
It's so good.
The biscuit itself is already thick.
And all the meat.
6.5 out of 10.

Let's get on with our next distillery.
We made it to our second distillery.
Which is called the Rabbit Hole.
This was also recommended by our first tour guide.
From Copper and Kings.
Sarah recommended Rabbit Hole to us.
Apparently they have a camaraderie.
And a partnership.
So they both recommend each other.
She said that it was way more chill.
A lot more modern.
So let's see what it's all about.
Rabbit Hole.
We just left Rabbit Hole Distillery.
What did you think?
It was good.
It had a very nice vibe.
The ski was good too.
We had a little sampler of 4 different Rabbit Hole.
Bourbons.
Bourbons and Rye.
So do you like Rabbit Hole?
Or Copper and Kings better?
I would have to go with...
In terms of whiskey.
I'm going to go with Rabbit Hole.
In terms of overall taste.
I'll go with Copper and Kings.
Copper and Kings is definitely still my pick.
We are now walking towards
Angel's Envy Distillery.
It's so good.
So we went to Angel's Envy and
they didn't have their next
tasting open until
2 hours later which is 420.
So we put our name down.
Put a little deposit down.
Paid for it.
And now we are on our way to
Old Forrester which is just a straight shot
of a walk.
Let's see how Old Forrester is.
And then we can't wait to check out
Angel's Envy.
What a sampler of 6.
It's our 5th one.
It gets better as we go.
A little juicier.
Libra, so what has been your favorite
distillery so far?
Favorite? Bottling our own bottle
at Angel's Envy.
Angel's Envy.
Will It is an incredible tour.
Friends?
I'm going to say Buffalo Trades.
But I will second that Will It
is an incredible tour and you should go on it.
Okay, Will It.
And the professional photographer?
I thought the tour at Yellowstone
was very smaller
and intimate.
Yellowstone.
All of the
professional photographers
here.
Great meeting you.
What else do you have to say?
Enjoy your trip.
Enjoy your travels.
And subscribe.

On to Angel's Envy.
We use 72% corn
as part of our match bill.
18% rye.
10% malted barley.
Once you stop swirling it
I want you to look at it from about a level
and what you're going to start seeing
are called legs.
Wine connoisseurs know this.
It is the thicker the better.
It shows you that you've had a full-on experience.
It also shows you
that it's high in proofing alcohol.
A little bit of that ruby coral wine color.
Do you all see that?
No allergy?
Okay, grab a bite of that.
It's a fast melting of chocolate
and as soon as it starts melting on your mouth
while you still have the chocolate in your mouth
finish off your burger meat.
Cool.
Can everybody get a second burger?
It'll be a little bit friendlier.
A straight line after this.
How you doing?
You looking to try it?
Hey, anything for Hoosier fam.
I'm all in baby.
Oh, Hoosier.
All in about the Hoosiers.
Yeah, my wife and I.
Cheers.
Peanut butter whiskey
with a little cranberry juice
so it tastes like PB&J.
It's sweet.
It is sweet.
The legendary, yeah.
The legendary Edward
serving the PB&J.
Screwball peanut butter whiskey.
Why don't you have a little drink?
You want me to have one?
I don't want the jelly in it.
I'll definitely do screwball.
The next morning
we are currently on our way back
from our 24 hours
in Louisville, Kentucky
mini quick trip.
The bourbon trail tasting was
super awesome.
We went to four different distilleries.
My favorite was definitely
our first one, the Copper and King's one
because the taste of the
brandy was just sweeter and smoother.
I really liked
their apple brandy especially.
I could drink that forever.
All the other ones were amazing
as well. We went to
The Rabbit Hole, Angel's Envy
as well as Old Forrester.
It was all such a good experience
on the
bourbon trail.
The whole bourbon tasting experience
was amazing.
We had a lot of fun.
We went to Fourth Street Live
and apparently there was
a free concert from
this artist named Trace Atkins.
There were a ton of people.
We also stopped by Howl at the Moon.
Amazing piano,
guitar, drum players.
The whole shebang.
Every time there's Howl at the Moon I really enjoy
it because I love
the dual piano player
action going on.
I hope you all enjoyed this video.
