The EPIC Family Road Trip: Episode 10 // This week we drove from Redmond to Bend in Central Oregon. We camped at a KOA, then headed out to explore the area. Bend is always a highlight whenever we come to Oregon because of the beautiful scenery, and EPIC outdoor adventures. We spent the week Mountain biking on amazing trails at Phil’s Trailhead, hiking behind a powerful waterfall, learning about the area at the High Desert Museum, and visiting family friends. Welcome to another episode of the Epic Family Road Trip.
This week we explored central Oregon and spent the week in one of our favorite
towns called Bend. Bend is on the eastern side of the
Cascade Mountains and it's in full view of seven beautiful
snow-covered mountain peaks. It's the kind of town that we really
love. There's all kinds of outdoor sports there
from mountain biking, hiking trails, mountain climbing, rock
climbing. In the winter there's snowboarding and
skiing. It's just a gorgeous place to be.
Whenever we're in a new place we like to learn something about the wildlife,
nature, and history of the area. So we went to the High Desert Museum here
this week. We got to learn about the indigenous
people of Oregon and the first settlers that came on the Oregon Trail.
This meant a lot to me because my parents also took me to the same museum
when I was a child. A couple days mountain biking at a place
called Phil's Trailhead. There are hundreds of kilometers of
single track trails around the Bend area ranging from beginner, intermediate,
and expert. There's something for everybody. If you
love mountain biking you can't miss Bend.

This week we are coming from Bend, Oregon.
This is in the central part of Oregon what they call the High Desert.
As you can see it's very dry and hot out here
but it's very gorgeous. Good temperatures, beautiful weather all
the time here. One of the days we did an awesome hike
to Tumalo Falls. Oregon is such an amazing place.
Since we are in one spot for a few days we took the opportunity to
update our deco on our jeep and wow does it look cool.
We're super proud and I hope you can spot us on the road.
Also while we were in Bend I took the opportunity to look up a friend that I
hadn't seen in over 30 years. We ended up going over to their house
and our families got to meet. He has a wonderful family
lots of beautiful children and they got to meet our children and they became
instant friends. It seemed like they had known each other forever
and we had so much fun with them. We almost didn't want to leave but we had
to keep going down the road. So thank you for a wonderful visit there
at your place. We are currently camped in beautiful Grand Teton National Park in
Wyoming. Make sure you stay tuned for next week's

Wyoming and Montana. We're going to go through both Grand Teton
National Park and Yellowstone National Park. You cannot
