Hello romantic family, welcome back. Olivia here with Olivia's Romantic Home and in today's video
I cannot wait to share with you six DIY deli tree craft projects. So you guys know I love to get my
home boutique gorgeous on a budget and I love the deli tree. I love taking items from the deli tree
and transforming them into beautiful gorgeous items that look like they would come in a boutique
you would never know. So you guys without further ado, plug in those glue guns, get out your glitter
and paint and let's get to crafting. For the first deli tree DIY you're going to create a beautiful
blooming wine glass. So we're just going to use some of those deli tree petals. They come about
$300 to a bag in the deli tree wedding section and I found this wine glass at the thrift store
for about a quarter. You can also find wine glasses at the deli tree. You just want to
apply some hot glue to the base of the bottom of the stem of the wine glass and begin to glue
layers of those petals on. Now I glued about three layers of petals but you all can do one layer or
you can glue as several however many you want but it's going to give kind of the feeling of a flower
that's blooming up from the base of your glass. You could also add a flower into the center of
wine glass but for this creation I am going to add sand and put a candle in this. Now to go a
little bit further with this you guys I am going to add some beautiful white satin ribbon. My deli
tree sells satin ribbon and you could also find this at walmart and so you're going to add a dab
of hot glue to the stem of your wine glass and begin to kind of wind the satin ribbon up the
wine glass until you get to the top. Add some more hot glue and then cut it off where you see
fit. Once you're done with that you're going to go ahead and take some more of that satin ribbon
and just tie a really easy little shoelace bow. You're going to hot glue that on underneath the
rose petal creation and then add a beautiful bling jewel. My bling jewel for this one I chose was a
soft bling pearl. You can find these at deli tree. I also find my pearls at michael's. You can buy a
whole huge pack of them there and they have a flat back so it makes them really nice to work
with kind of bridal projects or different projects that you might want a flat back pearl for.
I just love how this turns out. It is so easy to do and it looks so glamorous. Perfect for bridal
or anniversary or just because if you're decorating for winter white. Now add some of that
Dollar Tree sand and then pop a candle in and you are good to go. I did not find any LED candles at
my Dollar Tree. Those are usually what I use but it also looks very glamorous and very romantic
with this lovely real flickering candle glow. Now how gorgeous is this? So perfect for that extra
special romantic touch and very beautiful for a bridal table as well.
For the next Dollar Tree DIY we are going to create a beautiful floating floral arrangement.
So I have four 4x6 Dollar Tree frames and I'm going to go ahead and remove everything that's
inside of the frame including the glass. So I want to do that to all four of my frames and then once
I have everything removed I'm even going to take some wire cutters and I'm just going to pop little
tabs out as well. Once I have the tabs popped out of the frame I'm going to use some E6000
and just glue a tiny bit on the inside of the frame and then replace the glass. That way this
beautiful floral can have glass windows in it. Again I want this floral to appear like it's
floating. So we're going to go ahead and take now the frames and glue the E6000 on the longer
side of the frame. Stand that up and attach that to the other frame. Now I've already gone ahead
and added all the glass and glued that back into place with these frames. So these frames are ready
to go ahead and create our floral base. So this is really easy. It does take a little bit of patience
and you may want to kind of hold the frames kind of on for a minute or so and make sure that they
don't move around with the E6000 glue. But once you have them glued together this E6000 glue
is going to hold really really well. Once I got these glued together and it was stable enough for
me to move I moved it over to a box for it to dry and I let it dry for several hours before I started
working on the floral. It's even good to let these dry overnight. But once you're finished
with that go ahead and take a piece of square styrofoam from the Dollar Tree and I used a
butter knife to poke a hole in it. You can also use scissors just be very careful on this part.
Go ahead and poke that extra frame piece through your styrofoam. Again I just disassembled a
frame and I used the longer piece and then on your styrofoam you want to use some reindeer moss
and you're going to cover your entire piece of styrofoam with reindeer moss. I started out with
a little piece of frame in this and then I went ahead and took that out because I did want to go
ahead and cover the entire piece of styrofoam. Just remember wherever you poked those holes
not to completely cover that part because you're you are going to need to push that piece of frame
back in. The frame the single piece of frame is important because that's what's going to hold up
your floral and give it that really beautiful floating appearance. Now you could also just add
a top to this and glue your styrofoam on top of that but again I wanted this to appear floating
so we're going to use roses, carnations, I also have some cattails, some baby sprouts
and that's what we're going to use. I have about seven to eight bundles. I just took them apart
at their stems and I'm beginning with the roses and so to create a beautiful floral I like to
start kind of with my centerpiece items and I felt like these roses were very beautiful
and I used some creams and some whites together. I want to give it that really beautiful
winter white feeling. Also this could be used for bridal and if you're decorating for a shabby chic
spring this is wonderful. So I'm just kind of alternating the different heights of the florals
using some of the roses, some of the carnations, some of the baby sprouts and then beginning to
poke in some of the cattails. I do want to give this floral height and dimension so it's not
really particularly what you use just make sure that you're using something that can give your
floral a little bit of height around the top and then around the edges. That's going to give it
that sprayed kind of appearance and give it that beautiful height and dimension.
Now that I have my floral on I just want to add a dab of hot glue to each side of that picture
frame piece that we poked through the styrofoam. So nothing fancy here just some dabs of hot glue
and then take the rest of your extra reindeer moss and kind of press over the spots that you
hot glue. Now be careful on this part because that glue is exposed so just make sure you lump that
reindeer moss on and then as the glue dries you can kind of push in on it and that is going to be
this beautiful floating floral. Now I did go a little bit over the top with this and I added
several layers of ribbons to each side kind of where that reindeer moss was so I added in some
white satin ribbon from Dollar Tree. They also have this beautiful lace. I layered that in and
then I layered a cream lace on top of that and I just love how these ribbons are mixing with the
flowers. So the roses have a little bit of cream to them and then the carnations and the baby's
breath is just all kind of mixing in really beautifully and then of course I'm finishing
out with a beautiful bling pearl center and look how amazing this is. This is so beautiful.
I put an LED candle underneath. It's a flickering candle that I found actually at the thrift store.
I was so lucky to find one but look at how beautiful this is. This honestly would cost a
lot of money in a store and if you guys have ever looked into bridal flowers or just florals in
general they're very pricey and we did this for a fraction of the cost. I think it came out really
beautiful. It can be used for bridal, winter whites, winter wonderland, shabby chic. Even this
can go into spring and if you really want to doll this up stop by Michaels and invest in a little
bit more of some high-end roses to add into this. It'll really even take it to the extra
kick it up a notch a little bit but I'm loving this. Even my husband came home
and was in awe. He was like wow babe that looks really beautiful. So here it is with this beautiful
blessed design. Now this is going to be our next project and for this project all you're going to
need is a white picture frame and I found mine at the thrift store. You're going to need a dollar
tree piece of foam board and some lace and some spray paint and so what I'm doing is I'm measuring
this frame out. Now I shared with you all how to paint frames in another DIY and I will link that
down below but what I want to do is cut my piece of dollar tree foam board to fit inside of the
frame. So I'm just measuring it and then I'm going to cut it with a craft knife. So once you have your
piece of foam board cut to the size that you need you're just going to take it outside and grab a
piece of old lace. I love to use old lace curtains that I find at the thrift store and you're just going to
lay that over your piece of foam board. Now if it's windy outside you may want to tape that lace down
but it was a nice calm day so I'm just using some flat matte white spray paint and spray painting
over the lace. So you're just going to do about one coat depending upon how heavy you want it to look
and then you want to let that dry. I used the Krylon matte white and then look at this beautiful
how gorgeous this came out. I'm loving this and honestly you could just use that but I did want
to go ahead and cut out this blessed placemat that I found at Dollar Tree. I've been eyeing
the blessed signs at like Kirkland's and some of the home decor stores so I knew when I found that
placemat I had the perfect idea for it. I'm just using some E6000 glue and going along the back
of that and then I'm going to overlay that into the center of my board and voila we have this
beautiful, perfect, absolutely budget-friendly home wall decor. So this could be hung or you
could place this in and around whatever area you wanted. This could also be used on a wedding table
with some photos around it. I do have the perfect spot for it that's going to go into kind of my
winter white theme for January. I cannot wait to share with you guys where that is going to be
in and around my home after Christmas is over, but it's definitely looking really beautiful with
this bridal decor, the framed picture of Mr. Romantic and I, and these lovely. For the next
Dollar Tree DIY I want to create a beautiful place setting. Now this could be used for any
party that you're hosting. This would be wonderful for a bridal table, but you want to take
three of those Jenga blocks. You can buy a whole box of these at the Dollar Tree. They have about
38 in the box and you just want to glue two pieces together and then in the center part of that
you're going to stand the other one up and glue that together as well. Now remember those picture
frames that we used in the beginning of this series of DIYs? We just want to take and cut one
of those picture frames matting apart, so just trim it right in the corner here and then you're going
to line it up with your place card holder and trim it again and then it's going to fit perfectly onto
that little block. I just used some hot glue to add it onto the block and then I'm using a Sharpie
to write my name. Of course if this is going to be used on a bridal table or a tea party or whatever
you're hosting that you want to add a place card to, you would add that guest's name.
Now you all know me, I have to go a little bit over the top. If you're going for a rustic decor
you might want to stop there, but I am taking some of those beautiful bridal petals and I'm just
gluing them to the front part of this name card and then I flipped it around and decided to go
ahead and glue it all the way around. It just makes it so ethereal and whimsical and beautiful.
I'm just adding dabs of hot glue and adding in those petals and of course you can always trim
the petals down if you're limited space on your table and you wanted to make this a little bit
smaller, but look at how beautiful this is. I also grabbed some greenery. Remember you can also
customize this to whatever style of party you're hosting or event that you're doing. Again for this
I really wanted to do kind of like just a glamorous shabby chic bridal type setting. I added in a
couple of flowers and voila, here we go. So perfect and beautiful. This would be so perfect for a
bridal card or bridal shower. You could even go baby shower and I am absolutely loving this one
and it was so easy. For the next Dollar Tree DIY just take one of those plain Dollar Tree bags
and then we're going to use a piece of lace and lay that on top of the bag. Now for this bag I
wanted to do a little bit more of a glam idea so I'm using some of that silver metallic spray paint.
I'm adding just one coat of spray paint to the front part of this bag and then you want to let
it dry for a minute or so. You can bring it inside and then pull it off and look at how beautiful
that is. I think that this is such a magical thing. I don't know. Anyway so go ahead and take
a part of that placemat that we used and you're going to make a really pretty tag that's going
to kind of loop into this entire bridal table setting. So just cut a tag and then you're going
to do a little hole punch in the top and then you're going to begin to decorate your bag.
So for this look I added in some morafia. You can find that at the Dollar Tree. I had this
extra large kind of gray ribbon left over from another project so I'm just adding that to the
front of this bag in kind of a big loopy boutique style bow. I'm also tying this onto the handles.
That way the bag is actually more closed because I already have my package inside and then I'm just
going to dovetail those ends. That's going to give it a nice clean finish so just take the ribbon
kind of loop it in half and then cut upwards and then I had to add in some satin ribbon.
That's going to bring in kind of your girly glam with that special little tag. You can write on
the back of those tags with a sharpie because it is plastic. You do want to use a sharpie.
So look at how beautiful this is. I think it's so gorgeous and so glam and it's so customized.
It really looks like something very high-end and not just a brown paper bag. Of course I also
finished the satin ribbon off with some dovetailed ends but I am in love with how this came out.
So beautiful, so glam and also with that hint of rustic kind of shabby chic undertone.
For the next Dollar Tree DIY just take two of the Dollar Tree candlesticks
and flip one up over on itself. Add some E6000 glue to the top rim of your first candlestick
and then you're going to let this dry for a couple of hours. That's going to give you kind
of some height with the beautiful little vase that we're going to create. Then several hours
later you can go ahead and take some more E6000 glue and you can glue a vase on top of that. I
chose this larger Dollar Tree vase because I want to be able to drop a candle down inside of it.
So once you have your E6000 glue on top of that go ahead and add your vase and let that dry for
another hour or two. So this one is super easy you just need to set aside some drying time.
Then I'm adding some Dollar Tree sand and a beautiful candle and then I want to add that
LED candle underneath my floral arrangement and this is going to create the most beautiful
romantic table setting. I love how this came out. It's a perfect size to be able to put on any
entryway table, centerpiece, dining room table. I think it's absolutely gorgeous and oh so glam
and very easy to do and very budget friendly as well. You guys comment and let me know which one
of these was your favorite if you're going to try any of these and what do you think about my new
winter wonderland glam kind of rustic shabby chic theme for this upcoming winter month.
