100 Hours To Meet Ronaldo

But meeting Ronaldo is almost impossible. He's the most famous man on the entire planet
and there's elite security protecting him at all times. I've already managed to meet
Lionel Messi, but now I'm on my biggest ever mission, to meet the greatest goalscorer
of all time. But not only does Ronaldo come to watch every
boxing fight in Saudi Arabia, his favourite fighter Canelo Alvarez is fighting tonight
and Ronaldo promised him that he would be here. The first stage of my plan to meet Ronaldo
tonight was waiting at the VIP entrance where I'd seen Cristiano Ronaldo enter before.
But Ronaldo isn't the only person I want to meet in this video, and the first of my
targets, heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua had just arrived, who sits next to Ronaldo
at every fight. And once Anthony Joshua's interview was over, I said hello to him.
So after technically meeting AJ, I continued to wait at the VIP entrance, but with an hour
until the big fight, there was no sign of Ronaldo yet, so I moved onto stage 2 and headed
towards the boxing ring, and was stood just metres from his son, Cristiano Jr. But with
no sign of Ronaldo here either, I made my way to my seat for the first fight of the
evening and spotted a legendary footballer. So with footballers arriving, I knew Ronaldo
would be here soon. I sat back and enjoyed the boxing until I was handed a new pass,
and the area it unlocked was backstage, where Ronaldo would be walking out from alongside
here unless he's lied to Canelo. With my new pass on, I headed backstage and was stood
just metres away from the fighters, but as I was waiting patiently, I got some terrible
news. And that was because Canelo was making his way out. As Canelo made his way towards
me, I checked to see if Ronaldo was alongside him, and despite being just metres away, Ronaldo
wasn't there. And my next plan to meet Ronaldo was to head to Al Nasser's training ground,
and for the first time on my mission, I saw Ronaldo in real life.
So with my chair set up in the perfect spot, I made sure to wave at every single car, hoping
someone would invite me in. You see, this tactic worked for my friend Kristen before,
who after waiting outside the training ground, was invited in, and even got a photo with
Cristiano Ronaldo. But it was difficult to tell which car Ronaldo was inside, so I moved
my chair closer to the entrance, which allowed me to see directly into the players car park,
and as more cars kept arriving, I remained hopeful, and as I carried on waiting, this
subscriber showed me a photo on his phone of him meeting Cristiano Junior. But after
four hours, I was about to be asked to move further away from the entrance, and with Al
Nasser's training now over, more cars began to leave the training ground, but luckily,
I could still see into the players car park, and the first car to leave was Al Nasser's
sporting director and Real Madrid legend, Fernando Hierro, who I spotted at the boxing
last night, but sadly, he didn't stop.
And luckily for me, Otavio and Mane were two players I still needed to meet, but as more
footballers left the training ground without stopping, I was starting to think my mission
would be unsuccessful, but then Otavio's van started driving towards me, and thanks
to this child, he stopped on the side of the road, which meant I was about to meet
another of my targets.
And after successfully meeting Otavio, I tried to get more players to stop, but one
by one they all drove past me, and I was about to see him for myself as I took up my phone
and zoomed into the car park to see Cristiano Ronaldo in the distance, but as I carried
on filming, I watched him quickly make his way towards his car, and just like that, Ronaldo's
car started driving towards me.
But even after being unsuccessful at trying to meet Ronaldo outside training, I went back
day after day to no success, but I still had one last tactic to try and meet Ronaldo at
an Al Nasser match, and I was about to meet someone who could make it happen.
Once I made my way into the stadium, I took a seat and got comfortable, but Ronaldo was
now arriving to the stadium, which I spotted on the screen in front of me.
So with Ronaldo now inside the stadium, I headed pitchside to get into the best position
to try and meet him as he came out of the tunnel, and as players started emerging from
the tunnel, it wasn't long before I spotted Ronaldo, but unsurprisingly, he ran straight
out without stopping.
So with Ronaldo now out in the pitch training, I paused my mission to say hello to some subscribers,
which attracted the attention of Al Nasser TV, and I didn't take long to mention my mission.
We have 100 hours to meet Cristiano Ronaldo, and we are in the 98th hour, so we need to
meet him tonight or we fail and there's no video, so it's the last chance, so if you
can get us in the tunnel afterwards, a fist bump.
If you put me in the right position, you might give me a fist bump.
I will try my best, thank you so much, nice to meet you.
No, thank you so much.
So with one potential route to Ronaldo secured, I made my way to my seat and was approached
by another subscriber, who made a crazy promise.
If Al Nasser wins, we're going to go down to meet the players, I've met them a couple
of times already, but if Al Nasser wins, you can come with us.
Are you sure?
If they win, we're going to come.
Okay, so if they win, I can come with you?
Yeah.
Are you joking?
No, it's all cameras.
It's all cameras?
You promise?
And after showing me photos of the players, it started to feel real.
You'll be my best friend then?
Yeah, no problem.
It all comes down to this, we need a win more than ever before.
This is not an easy game, so we needed that.
2-0, it's happening.
Halftime, it's 2-0, this is going good.
We need the scoreline to stay the same.
We're going to meet loads of players at the end and Ronaldo's going to cap it off.
We're getting this done.
It's happening.
Can we come with you?
Thanks boys, see you soon.
It's happening, it's happening.
But then, something ridiculous happened.
These young lads approached me, who I took a photo with earlier, and said something crazy.
I'm going to make you to see Ronaldo today.
You're going to make me see Ronaldo?
How are you going to do it?
I called my dad, he said he's at home.
Let's pause it right here.
Just like me, you're probably wondering who this young boy's dad is.
Well, not only does he know Cristiano personally, but he also owns the stadium Almazer play in.
So if anyone could bring me to meet Cristiano, it was him.
But of course, I didn't know that yet.
Thank you.
Time for the second half, and we have a new lead, with two leads now.
I think it could happen.
That's bad news.
We still have hope.
We need the win.
We need a win.
So with my heart broken, I thought my chances of meeting Cristiano Ronaldo were over,
until I was introduced to this man, who was the guardian of the young subscriber I met earlier.
But while my path to meet Cristiano Ronaldo was now secured,
after their defeat, it unfortunately wouldn't be tomorrow,
meaning my 100 hour window was over.
But join me 127 days later, ready for one of the biggest days of my life.
We're back at Almazer, all these months later,
right beside the players with the best seats in the house,
and we've been told that tonight is the night we meet Cristiano Ronaldo.
And despite Cristiano Ronaldo not being in the Almazer squad tonight,
that wasn't going to stop me.
Because he's not playing tonight, we've been told when we meet him,
it's going to be in his family box, which is just up there.
So we're keeping an eye out to make sure he comes.
This has taken months, and it's happening tonight.
If you're a subscriber to this channel, you know that I've met lots of players.
But this is different.
I can feel the butterflies.
This is the most famous man on the planet.
If you're curious how good these seats are, this is the bench.
And I was about to take full advantage of this by saying hello to Sario Mame.
Hello Sario.
Nice to meet you.
That's how good these seats are.
So just like that, I'd now met another of my targets from this video.
I've been trying to meet Sario Mame for months.
These seats are insane.
Wonder how many other players I can meet during this game.
They're right beside me.
But now it was almost time for kickoff, which meant Ronaldo would be arriving soon.
Cristiano's still not here.
Look how close the players are.
And with the game underway, it's time to tell you about my craziest giveaway ever.
Thanks to my friends at Footmob, let me tell you how you can win this signed Ronaldo shirt.
But just as I was telling you about the giveaway, Alnasser opened the scoring.
It's a goal!
I didn't see who scored, but I know just where to check.
I refreshed the Footmob app, and within seconds, I could see that it was Abdulrahman Garib,
who was now on a 7.2 rating.
But while I was enjoying the game watching players like Joao Felix up close,
I was constantly checking to see when Ronaldo would arrive.
And he was missing an incredible game, as Alnasser were now winning 2-0.
And their players' Footmob ratings were improving.
Garib also got an assist.
He's on a rating of 8.2 already.
Footmob is my favourite football app.
I've legitimately used it for years to track all the players in all the games I care about.
I highly recommend it.
Now, let me tell you how you can enter the giveaway to win this signed Ronaldo shirt.
Sign up to Footmob using the link in the description or the pinned comment,
and use code JOHN, and you'll have a chance at winning this.
But with the game now over 30 minutes in, and Ronaldo still not at the stadium,
it seemed like my chances of meeting him tonight were slipping away.
But there were still lots of other players for me to meet.
And once the referee blew the halftime whistle,
I took my chance to meet another of my targets.
Kingsley Coman.
Nice to meet you.
I just met Kingsley Coman.
There's another one off the list.
But even though I was happy to have met Coman, there was still one man I needed to meet.
I'm sick of looking.
I'm going up to check if he's here or not.
We're going up to find him in his box.
Let's see if he's there.
This is the Ronaldo family box.
I told you I'd come and see for myself.
There's no Ronaldos here today.
I guess we're just going to have to get him tomorrow.
But unfortunately for me, it wasn't tomorrow or even the next two days either.
But the day did finally come.
Tonight, I'm meeting Ronaldo.
Let's go.
And my plan to meet Ronaldo was to wait beside this fence,
which is right next to where Cristiano walks into the stadium for every game.
And it didn't take long for the Almaser bus to arrive.
He's on that bus and I'm going to pray he gives me a high five.
I need to touch him.
But while Ronaldo wasn't the first player off the bus,
I did manage to meet one of his teammates,
which proved it would be possible to meet Cristiano if he decided to stop for me.
One by one, Ronaldo's teammates made their way off the bus,
with most of them stopping to say hello to me, even Sadio Mane again.
And Kingsley Coman too.
But just as it was all going so well,
this security guard came over and told me to stop greeting the players.
Just as another of my targets, Joao Felix was approaching.
But then, thankfully for me, he quickly moved on,
just as Cristiano Ronaldo was making his way towards me.
Oh my word, that is Cristiano Ronaldo.
And now was the moment I'd waited so long for.
My word.
Cristiano, lovely to meet you.
We just met Cristiano Ronaldo.
We just did it.
And if you enjoyed this video,
go and watch this video where I tried to meet Messi.
