How to start your own business from nothing. So that's what I'm known for. I have done
multi-million dollar businesses. I have made hundreds of millions of dollars. Bootstrapping
is what it's called. So you start your business from nothing. We're going to talk about three
things specifically today. Most entrepreneurs start with nothing. You live in paycheck to
paycheck. You want to quit and you want to get into your own business. I'm your master mentor
to teach you how to do it. So we're going to talk about how you get started from nothing.
Number two, it doesn't have to be expensive and there are going to be some startup costs. So let's
talk about the true startup costs from a bootstrapper's perspective. And number three,
the biggest misconceptions of starting a business, because I think there's a lot of information out
there that's completely wrong. We're taught to be employees, not entrepreneurs. So making that leap
seems like it's a bigger jump than it really needs to be. So let's break it down. Again,
get a pen and paper. We've got a lot to talk about. So the most successful entrepreneurs
basically have started with an idea and an idea comes from what's the biggest problem you can
solve. So if you look at what the problem Richard Branson solved or Bill Gates solved or Steve Jobs
solved, you look at Elon Musk, you look at what are the problems that are people solving. I'm
solving your problem of being in business and understanding finance and generational wealth,
knowing how to do it all. How do you become a millionaire? So that's the problem I'm solving.
So will I ever run out of clients? Probably not. Early in the day, I said, I want to make millions
and millions of millionaires. We've made hundreds of thousands of millionaires, but the truth is
there's a lot of you that don't want to do the work. So again, most successful entrepreneurs
have started from nothing. So why can't you? So here's how you start. First of all,
do you want to be in business, right? Do you want to run a marketing department,
sales department, accounting department, fulfillment, operations, customer service,
technology? All of this is what it takes to run a company. Most people don't think like that.
Like Michael Gerber wrote in the E-Myth, most people, just because you're a great pie maker,
doesn't mean you're going to run a great pie company because you actually have to know three
things to be a great entrepreneur. You've got to learn to market, got to learn to sell, and you
have to understand cashflow. The challenge is when you go to school, you're not learning any of that
as an employee. And even if you are in a marketing degree, you're being taught how to market for a
company to be an employee, not to be an entrepreneurial marketer or an entrepreneurial
salesperson. Like sales is at the prime of your business. If you don't have cashflow,
you don't have a business. You have an interesting idea. So how do you decide if you want to do it?
Well, first of all, I'd say do the easy thing, whatever you're good at. Like we have a skillset
analyzer. If you click on the link below, there'll be a skillset analyzer. I want you to go through
it, take the test and just kind of see what are your skills? What have you been paid for in the
past? What do you do right now? The easiest thing is going to be the most powerful thing.
So I was a master distributor of cashflow. Well, after people played the cashflow game over and
over and over, what did they say? How do I do this? So I became a financial mentor and financial
coach to solve that problem. So I kind of walked into it because it was right in front of me.
So what is it that you do? Are you good at art? Are you good at video? Are you good at
any digital technology? Are you good at editing? What are you already good at? If you're a teacher,
be a tutor. There's huge, huge demand for tutors right now and online schooling. So what is it
that you can do simply so I can spend the first year or two mentoring you on the marketing, on
sales and on cashflow and how to be a good entrepreneur. So if you want to start with an
invention or something really difficult, number one, it takes capital to do an invention or some
new product. So you're going to need capital that way. So that's not the starting point. So we're
talking about how do you start with nothing? You start typically in a service because you're
providing your knowledge, your expertise, or your guidance. So from a skill set analyzer,
you're going to then break down what is it that you could offer. So again, not a lot of this is
new. So like in the coaching and mentoring space, there are plenty of us that have prices, funnels,
offers. Like what do you have to offer when you first come out? Again, I want you to be
at my Millionaire Intensive where we walk you through how to live corporate life, number one,
how to run a company, which I think at 18, you all should have one. Even if you keep your job,
you should have a company that makes extra money. Why? Because you can activate the greatest tax
code in the world, 81,000 pages of tax structures and deductions. So like personally, I don't have
a phone. My company owns the phone. My company owns the vehicles. My company owns the office.
My company owns most of my wardrobe. So a lot of you aren't activating. You're used to living
employee life, not an entrepreneurial corporate life is what I call it. So once you find what
you really want to do and you get your offers and your pricing, which we're going to help you do at
our Millionaire Intensive, and again, do R&D, replicate and duplicate. Somebody's already
doing what you want to do. Like if you want to be a bookkeeper, go out and look at five,
10 different bookkeepers, call them, act like you want to hire them, have them send you their
documents, see what they have on their website, see what their offers are, see what their packages
are. Somebody's already done what you want to do. You don't have to start this from scratch.
If you're starting from a blank slate, you're working way too hard. Doing this all by yourself
isn't really going to work either. So let's talk about the second thing. It doesn't mean it has to
be very expensive to get started. So the startup costs are going to be, number one, you got to get
a corporate structure and you got to get a database. So those are the two engines I call
that actually drive the machine. If you're going to do a sole proprietor, it's a rough start. Why?
Because you have your social security number and as a sole proprietor, you only have one credit
score. If you have an LLC, an S-corp, C-corp, you have another credit score and you have access to
more funding because you're a company. So typically a lot of our clients will go from being an
employee to having one company and then two companies and then some investment companies.
So it's pretty easy in the first two to three years and being in our community that a lot of
our clients will have three to five companies that are operating and running the deductions through
it. But what are your true startup costs you have to do? I say, get your entity, which we can do
that quickly and efficiently for you. And then you got to have a database because database is the
machine. It's really, I call it the engine that actually drives this. It's going to be all your
data, all the clients, all the people interested in you, all your social posts. So you don't want
a bunch of followers. You want them to be opted into your database. So again, in the link below,
I've given you a quick video on what we call rapid marketing systems, which is a database that you
can start up for 297 bucks, quick, quick, quick, same system I use. And I'm running millions through
the system. You can start with it and then you never have to do a data transfer. So those are
really the only two that I absolutely say are a must to get started as far as startup costs.
And really why not go out and make two, three, four or $5,000, which is not difficult. You could easily
do that in a month of selling some of your time or services, and then use that money to start the
company, use that money to get your database. So again, I want you bootstrapping. I want you doing
a couple of things. I want you to write these down. I want you to do pre-orders. So pre-orders
and deposits and contracting cash are three concepts that I talk a lot about for Millionaire
Intensive, but just quickly, here's what they are. A pre-order is I'm going to launch a book.
I'm going to launch a coaching program. I'm going to launch, like we did a crypto program.
We actually went out and sold the crypto program for a thousand dollars to over 20 people,
made $20,000, used the money then to build the course. So a lot of you, you're not going to
build it and hope they come. You've got to do it in the right order. You're going to go sell it
and build what people want. So you're going to market to get them interested. You're going to
sell them to get the cash, and then you're going to build it. You're not doing it the other way
around. And as an employee, that's the way you're trained as an employee to think, is I'm going to
go build it. And I pray, you know, if they're just going to walk through the door, I guarantee they're
not coming. You've got to market really well, get people interested in the problem you're solving,
get them to opt into your database and sell them something as fast as you can
and get cash moving quickly. And then at about a thousand, $2,000, you're going to start calling
those people, right? And through the call, you're going to start selling bigger, bigger tickets.
So all of you easily can make 10, 15, 20,000 a month if you follow our system. So again,
click on the link. I want to see what our millionaire intensive, and I want to help
you get this business off the ground. Before I go to the third point on, you know, the biggest
misconceptions, I want you to subscribe to the channel, click the notification button. I want
you here five days a week. I'm here five days a week, eight to 12 minutes. That's all I'm asking
for every day. Listen to it. Even your kids can listen to this five, six, seven, eight years old.
This is all very common sense content. This isn't taught with high finance or business language
intentionally for your benefit. And if there's a topic that you really want, go up to the search
bar, search it. We've got a lot of playlists and we are here and I can come back and do videos for
the topics that you're really wanting. Now, the biggest misconception about somebody that wants
to start a company is that you think you have to have all the answers and a complete pure path all
laid out before it happens. And that's not going to work, right? There's a lot of say yes and figure
it out in this entrepreneurial space. Um, I call it MSU, make a lot of stuff up as you go and you're
going to bump into walls, which why you want to be mentored. I've been mentored since I was 17
years old. So most of my life I have had a mentor every year. So I don't know how you think you're
if you're not being mentored by one. So I would love to talk to you. I'd love to mentor you again,
go to asklaurel.com at any point and ask any question, make a request. So it's ask A-S-K-L-O-R-A-L
ask a question, make a request and we will be there. Say, uh, make a request to have a strategy
session with one of my senior members and see what we can do to help you get your business started.
Bootstrap it from nothing. We've had people literally come to our Millionaire Intensive,
make $3,000, $5,000, $19,000, $20,000, $21,000 in a several day period. You can do this too.
It's not difficult. It's just different. We'll talk to you tomorrow.
