Hello everyone, welcome back to my channel.
My name is Jessica if you are new here, and today's video I wanted to share an update
on my office space that I have slowly been curating off of Facebook Marketplace, thrift
stores, places like that.
So let's start with what it looked like before.
I had my office like this for years, I loved it, but I really wanted to update it into
a more darker, vintage, equestrian, Ralph Lauren aesthetic.
I finally ended up painting it, which I already shared with you guys.
The color is Vintage Vogue by Sherwin-Williams.
So in today's video I wanted to share my most recent Facebook Marketplace finds.
We're totally rearranging it in here, adding my frames on the wall, and getting it mostly
ready.
So let's go ahead and get started.
Okay, first I need to get these price stickers off of here.
I tried peeling them off, but they are really on there.
So I'm just going to spray them with a generous amount of Goo Gone and let them sit for a
while.
Alright, look at my most recent Facebook Marketplace score.
These are two vintage leather cigar chairs, and you will not believe how much I got these
for.
Before, when I was researching leather chairs for my office, I was finding chairs similar
to this for thousands of dollars a piece, and I got both of these for $150 for the pair,
which is amazing.
They are so beautiful.
I love the tufted leather.
There's so much beautiful detail down to the wood on the legs.
I love how the arms fold around over here.
Sorry if the camera was a little shaky.
I was trying not to trip over being here.
They are a little too big for this wall.
I was hoping to just replace these chairs with the other two accent chairs I had here,
but those were significantly smaller, and these just look way too big against this wall.
But I have another plan.
I'm going to rearrange some furniture in here and find a space for these gorgeous chairs.
They're also so cozy and comfortable.
We love sitting in them, and I'm just so happy to have finally found some good quality leather
chairs.
The other thing about these chairs is they are cigar chairs, so they had a little bit
of a smoky odor to them.
So I've been using two products.
This is the Griot's Garage Odor Neutralizing Leather Cleaner, and then this one is the
Chemical Guys Extreme Offensive Odor Eliminator, and then it has a leather scent.
So I've been using these two, and we've had these chairs probably two weeks now, and I
have to say the smoke smell has completely gone away.
I just want to treat them one more time before I get them set up in their new home.
My plan is to put these chairs on either side of this back wall, so I'm going to push my
bookshelves together to make room for them.
I took out that middle part.
Originally I put that there because I planned to put my printer on it, but I never ended
up doing that, so I didn't really need that middle piece anyway.
This new configuration is going to make such a big impact and change to this space.
Alright, here is how it's looking so far.
Ideally my next Facebook Marketplace find would be a big wooden bookshelf wall piece
for this space, but I think these white ones can work for now, and they'll look a lot nicer
once I put all of my decor in there.
And then just for the wall, I'm going to add in those gold wall sconces, and I think that
will make a big difference as well and look really nice.
But the chairs, as far as their size, they look so much better against this wall versus
the smaller green wall.
Heading into the new year, I am making longevity a priority, and not in any dramatic way, just
in my everyday habits.
And for me personally, this means morning walks with my dog, prioritizing protein at
breakfast, and going to bed every night with a book instead of my phone.
Basically just making time every day for something that supports my body at the cellular level.
And another new thing I'm adding into my daily routine is MitoPure from Timeline.
This is a supplement that supports cellular health, which matters because how your cells
function really affects how resilient and strong you feel today and also down the road.
And this isn't one of those overnight fads.
This is something that I've committed to taking for four plus months.
What sold me on this product specifically is it's founded by doctors and scientists,
has over 15 years of research, plus more than 10 clinical studies, which all that really
matters when it comes down to what we're putting into our bodies.
So if you would like to join me in making longevity a priority this year, make sure
you check out Timeline.
In my description box, I will have a link and a code, which will get you a free sample
size of the MitoPure gummies to try for yourself.
And then for my green wall over here, I am finally going to hang up this artwork.
I've been waiting for such a long time to see what these look like.
I think they're going to just pull everything together.
And I'm also going to be installing this brass outlet cover as well.
I can't wait to get these frames hung up.
A lot of them I've had for several years.
And actually this big one over here and this one are from Hobby Lobby.
They have some really good affordable gold frames over there.
And I like how they look pretty vintage.
She's always very involved in everything I'm doing here.
But the prints inside of them, I actually download off of Etsy and then just have printed
at either Walmart or like a CVS.
And then to get that matte look, I go over them with Elmer's glue, which sounds crazy,
but it gives that matte finish.
And especially since this wall is right across from a window, even if you do the mod podge
effect, it's still very shiny and almost makes them look white most of the time.
So the Elmer's glue was an amazing hack.
And as you can see, there's no shine at all on the pictures from the window across the
way.
Alright, I wanted to share with you the newest gold frames that I found.
I have quite a few, but I really wanted to go out and start collecting really ornate,
chunky gold ones.
And they had at the fairgrounds by me an antique show and I was able to find so many good ones.
And this is the biggest one that I found.
This was only $30.
I thought that was such a good price for this, especially this size.
It has this nice little fabric mat that goes all the way around.
The art inside this one is very nice, but I really want to keep everything pretty uniform
with the equestrian aesthetic.
And I love when they come with this piece to help hang it on the back.
And then I haven't been thrifting in a while, but I decided to check out a local thrift
store for a frame and I was able to find this one.
And this was only $10 plus they were having like 30% off.
So I was very excited about this one as well.
Very pretty.
I'm going to see if I can take the glass out or I might just tape my print over the top
of it.
Not quite sure yet, but I was so excited to find four more prints.
I have to just go on Etsy and print out some things and then I can add them to my wall
and show you what that looks like.
Here's what the gallery wall is looking like so far.
Once I get my new prints in their frames, I'm going to continue it over to the side
and up along the top.
I think this will just be a work in progress as I find frames.
I really want to focus on finding larger ones and just completing this whole wall with a
beautiful equestrian themed collection.
And then I have these two pillows, which I got at HomeGoods a couple years ago.
These were on my upstairs couch, but I think they will look perfect on my leather chairs.
Next I'm going to check on my wall sconces.
Hopefully the stickers come off a lot easier now.
They've been sitting for quite a while.
How cute is this decorative book box from Hobby Lobby?
It's going to fit so perfectly among my vintage books.
And it's also the perfect place to store extra charging cords, extra memory cards, things
like that.
And it's also great because it's hidden away so my kids won't steal them.
My favorite things to find thrifting are little unique brass and copper pieces.
I found this spaniel that looks like my dog.
I also have a brass horse that you'll see here soon.
And one of my newer finds is this little armillary sphere.
I thought it was such a unique and cool find, and these are just going to look so nice here
on my shelves.
I like using this wood bowl to store all of my camera equipment.
It keeps everything together and easily accessible while still looking really decorative and
nice on the shelves.
Alright, so this is what we're working with on the back wall.
This has completely changed this space.
I just pushed those bookshelves together, added the new leather chairs, my candle wall
sconces, and this decor.
Everything's kind of a work in progress.
I would love to find a set of encyclopedia-type leather books for both of the top shelves,
but I'm happy with how everything looks so far.
And it's fun to just be able to display all of the fun little finds that I've been collecting
over the years.
Now I'm going to move my desk back in and then show you what I have planned to go against
this wall here.
I know I said I was trying to thrift everything, but I found these at HomeSense last week and
I thought they were so perfect.
The hardware on them, all of the accents just go so well with my theme and my colors.
Plus I've been trying to find things that could go along that green gallery wall now
that I moved the chairs away from that.
So I thought these would look really good there stacked together.
The smaller one is $39.99 and the larger was $49.99.
I love the little handles.
Just everything about these I think is going to be so perfect for that space.
So let's set these up in there and I'll show you everything else I have planned to go on
that wall.
Okay, so my plan is to use this quilt rack to display an old saddle of mine that I had
just been keeping in the garage.
And I also thought it would be a really cute spot to put my ceramic riding boots.
And I wasn't sure how this was going to look, if it was going to be too much, but I actually
love it.
I think it looks so cool and just ties my whole equestrian theme together.
And the finishing touch is definitely going to be those new trunks.
They're also just the perfect height when they're stacked together to use as a little
table that I'll be adding some more equestrian items to.
Alright, so this is what we have so far.
I'm absolutely loving it.
It feels so cozy in here and it's really just coming all together.
Some of this decor I have had for years now just in anticipation of putting this office
together.
So it's really fun just seeing everything come together and just seeing how it all looks.
I also want to find a new desk chair, that's another goal for this year.
But also a nice wooden bookshelf to go across this wall is another thing I'm looking for.
I hope that this video gave you some ideas and inspiration of how to incorporate your
own hobbies and interests into your own space in your house.
Thank you so much again for watching and I will see you next week for a new video.
