in the car and go to Kazakhstan Two of my friends joined me and went together Let's go here Here This is about four thousand kilometers from Moscow to Almaty And these four thousand kilometers we through we are now in southern Kazakhstan near the mountains But almost the entire territory of Kazakhstan is steppes And when were driving through the steppes were certainly in shock Because it was very cold The temperature reached minus five degrees in September Carl in September Minus five And at the same time a wild wind A strong gusty wind It was simply unimaginable We put on our winter coats it was very cold But here as you can see it is very warm Daytime temperature plus twenty degrees Nighttime temperatures drop say to plus five or plus ten degrees That is the contrast The climate here is sharply continental so the contrast is very pronounced It feels warm at times and then very cold What else do I want to say We have rented an apartment for a day That is we pay by the day and live and look for an apartment for a long term But it's clear that now Tractor But it's clear that doing it now is extremely difficult Because according to the Kazakh Ministry of Internal Affairs in just a few days approximately from Russia into Kazakhstan Two hundred thousand people Two hundred thousand Russians That is an enormous number of course For example I think there are about 1.7 million people living in Almaty Therefore there aren't that many big cities So of course it's a huge number of people yes They all came all looking for housing And prices have even jumped to incredible amounts For example a thousand dollars is in principle good If you could rent an apartment for a thousand dollars Before of course before the mobilization before the mass migration of such Of course modern Regarding by the way modernity Very interesting thing how everything here is digitized We are now passing the local bank branch The bank is called Caspian Well probably because Kazakhstan has access to the Caspian Sea Probably that's why it's called the Caspian Yes the Caspian The Caspian that's what they call the Caspian Sea Now we will be passing the bank and if you have been to China or if you live in China you surely know About such a payment system and messenger as WeChat WeChat This is exactly the same and it works in exactly the same way as the Caspian This is well not just a messenger but also a marketplace And the bank that's also transfers that's also payments via QR code this is all possible thanks to Caspian A very convenient system everyone uses it and it only takes you 15 minutes to make a bank card There are special machines that you can use They print the map instantly In short the level of digitalization in Kazakhstan is impressive Many things here are much more shall we say digitized than in Russia Well for example there is an equivalent to the Caspian in Russia They exist but they don't quite work the same way In short very very interesting Here by the way is Lanzhou It's a restaurant a café in Chinese in Chinese style There is all kinds of well Chinese food it's not exactly Chinese not authentic Chinese food but very similar Because you know the city of Lanzhou in China is known for its noodles There's also a lot of noodles here and we often go there every evening to eat dinner because it's very delicious Very cheap and it reminds it reminds
