I also forgot to mention we do have Jesus here.
Cooled and heated maybe five times now.
Still haven't eaten it yet.
We don't want to eat nuts.
Like we should be eating nuts, but we don't want to eat nuts.
What's up?
I'm Kel.
We're from Joy.
Right now we're on tour with Invent Animate and Silent Planet and Reflections.
This is our van.
So we don't have a lot.
We try to keep it tidy.
It's been a little bit more difficult this tour.
We got a bunch of stuff up here.
Our rider, we got...
For some reason, we got so many mixed nuts on our rider.
Even though we really don't ever eat it.
So we have like...
I'll show in a second, but we have a big bin here full of like mixed nuts and Red Bull.
Got some Velcro for the windows back there that I'll show you in a second.
The Reese's cups.
Okay, we've...
We've had these plant-based Reese's cups since...
What was that show?
Oh, it was Covington.
We got it in Covington.
And it's been cooled and heated and cooled and heated maybe five times now.
Still haven't eaten it yet.
Still haven't tried it.
It's been on the dash, just melted.
We'll probably put it in the fridge today and then either eat it or it's going to get melted again.
We'll see.
We also have a couple CDs here from our friend in Zombie Shark.
Shout out Zombie Shark.
Really awesome.
Also a really cool sketch from him as well of our Ataraxia EP.
We do have a Snickers here that...
We do have a Snickers.
I bought at a laundromat like last week and I still have yet to eat it.
I'm going to eat it if you know at some point.
I'm going to have it.
Have some melatonin.
Some laundry detergent.
Laundry detergent, liquid paint, white liquid paint, hand sanitizer, half drinking water bottle.
What is this?
These drink tickets?
No, these are my sheets rewards.
I don't know whose these are but...
Over here we also have our trash.
We like to be a little tidy up here.
So we have a...
We try to do rotations as much as possible.
I will say our guitarist Gio takes over a lot or like the majority of like the small driving.
So like driving to venues, parking.
In their day job they're a trucker.
So they're way more familiar and less terrified of driving with a trailer and parking the trailer.
So they do a lot of that stuff but for the long drives we try to do rotation.
I also forgot to mention we do have Jesus here.
I can't believe I forgot about that.
And also a justice for the damned air freshener.
So with a driver it's usually on the aux but recently it's been kind of like
listening through our AirPods.
As for me I've been listening to a lot of like old daddy Yankee.
What about you?
Yeah well right before this tour we got this like CarPlay installed.
And it's really awesome when it works but like connecting a new phone is like
insanely difficult for no reason.
Whenever I do have it connected or listening to music
I listen to a lot of different stuff.
Mainly electronic music.
Listen to a lot of like Arca, Sega Bodega.
A lot of Shoegaze.
A lot of like heavy hardcore like Kickback and Division of Mind.
Some of my favorite bands.
What does uh Gia listen to?
Gia listens to Strata, Circus Revive.
A lot of classical too.
A lot of classical.
A lot of Bach.
Jordan's always jamming like Linkin Park or Paramore.
Progressive.
Yeah progressive stuff.
Very drum music.
I would say like that's typically like our music musicians.
Yeah exactly.
All right.
So we have absolutely no rows in here.
We were gonna do bunk but it was just couldn't get it done in time unfortunately.
So we're like we're just gonna like lay down a ---- ton of pads and just keep it like super chill.
There's only four of us on here so we're all able to fit relatively like
Each corner.
Very comfortably like just to each corner.
It's pretty nice.
Obviously we have the windows all covered up with this like insulation.
Really good for sleeping and plan to fitnesses which is what we do.
Nice not having like the parking lot lights and the sun coming in at night.
It's also just nice not having not having to worry about someone like
peeking in your van like looking at stuff.
So it's very very nice for that but it is also a double-edged sword because
I know me and Link like looking at the mountains and you know looking at the scenery around but
you know it for that we can just go sit up up front you know.
So on top of the stack bin we have the legendary
The Color Clear album by Reflections who we're on tour with right now.
This song by the original drummer?
Yes.
Signed by original drummer Nick, Patty and Jake.
This is all like one of our favorite albums of all time
and it's like an honor being able to be on tour with them.
But I got this and I'm trying to protect it at all costs in this van which is very difficult.
A hoodie.
We have some water.
We've been just taking every once in a while.
Now in this bin this is essentially just like
a bunch of snacks and a bunch of stuff from our rider that we just
haven't really like been able to get into yet.
So we have some straps for our trailer in the back.
Just keep everything strapped down and make sure it's not moving.
Some air freshener.
Some trail mix.
I mean this is basically just mixed nuts.
Like I said more nuts.
More nuts.
And more nuts.
Yes, yes.
Full of squirrels.
Now the sunflower seeds are crucial for me for like late night drives.
It just keeps my mind occupied.
There's absolutely nothing better for keeping me awake than this and like sour scoops.
This has been a game changer for late night drives for me.
Some kettle.
I think these are Jordan's.
Honey jalapeno.
And then a ---- ton of Red Bull.
Like an immense amount of Red Bull.
Some like liquid IV stuff.
Trash bags.
I believe that's it in here.
But yeah like we ended up changing our rider midway through tour because we were like
we don't want to eat nuts.
Like we should be eating nuts but we don't want to eat nuts.
So that's everything in the van.
So this is basically my daily routine in the morning.
I'll get out from back here.
As you can see I got my shoes under my pillow.
Little finger kangaroo and a sweater because it's been getting super cold at night.
Am I steamed up?
But basically in the morning just I don't wake everyone else up.
I just crawl over from this side.
Take a shower and that's about it.
Grab my shoes.
Everything's in the middle edge and that's about it.
So anyway we were from Joy.
We're from Houston, Texas.
We were on tour with Invent Animate and Silent Planet.
Our newest EP Ataraxia just came out in April.
Currently working on more new music which will hopefully be out next year.
And you can find all of our tour dates anytime we're on the road
on our Linktree and our Instagram.
Should have tickets up there.
Yeah that's about it.
