Anya Taylor-Joy, Miles Teller talk wildfires, ‘The Gorge,’ Super Bowl

I love that before we get into the film really quickly here miles got to ask you you spoke at the La fire fundraiser last last week and you're one of the many folks out there who lost her house, how how are you doing has your family. Yeah, we're doing we're doing all right, it's my it's my wife and I right now we were you know in the process of moving my grandma out to California with me so she was in the Everyone is safe. But like that concert showed there's so many people in each story is different. And it's yeah, it's just sad that that whole area that zip code is is pretty much gone. There's really nothing left and so it's yeah truly it's it's a day by day for us, I'm glad you're OK though, yeah, yeah, let's talk about the gorgeous. We don't want to give away too much, but it's like this. It's like an action thriller. Love story. Yes, I think we're going for a genre bending genre been on bending. Well, it's a love story under tension. Okay, now that's that was kind of the that's what we're going off. One of the fascinating things about the film is that you spend a fair amount of time in the film communicating with each other with with signs that you're. How difficult what was that in terms of acting. We started off having the best of intentions. We really wanted to be there for each other and we said you know I will be there every day regardless of the coverage. But the first day was miles as coverage and they put me on a hydraulic lift far far away with my pen with my signs did not work absolute nightmares. So we ended up I couldn't see or she was like a 150 feet away. I couldn't she was actually distracted just like hi. So yeah, we ended up going in every single day and watching each other's coverage until we've got to meet what I love about the 2 of you is apparently you've been friends for a long time. Yeah, how did the friendship start. I think it was pretty natural first more socially we have the same age and we share a lot of mutual friends and in his talk about this, but it's it's true. I think she was just always somebody for me that was just always fascinated by and I would ask my agent so how you know how is and what you know what you like how she doing then we've got to know each other and since then her my wife have become very good family. That's not I'm friends with both of us like a sushi gets.
