Make a skate carrying leash!🧘🏻‍♀️🛼

Do you struggle to carry your skates? I've got the solution for you. Today I'm going to show you how to make a skate leash of your very own. You might even be able to make a skate leash with materials from around the house. All you're going to need is a tape measure, scissors, a needle and thread, and most importantly, webbing or jacquard ribbon. So I got this really cool ribbon and I love that it matches my tracksuit. I've linked some really nice patterns in the description below, but you can find various patterns and designs on Etsy as well. Okay, so let's get started. So the first thing you want to do is measure about 150 centimeters of ribbon. I've measured it just a little bit shorter because I don't want my skate leash to be too long. So I'm just going to cut it. Now we're going to be creating the ends of the skate leash. Cross it like that, fold over the end and sew it. So you don't want to sew this part because you want it to slide open and close so you can adjust the size to fit your skate. I do recommend using a thicker needle because the webbing is pretty thick. Okay, so this is what it looks like once it's sewn. As you can see, it can be adjusted. And now we're going to do the exact same thing, you guessed it, on the other side. Cross it, fold it over and sew it down. Ta-da! Here it is with both sides sewn. I might glue some fabric over top just to cover up the horrible sewing job that I did. But yeah, let's go test it out. The coolest part is that you could carry your yoga mat in style or even your shoes. It's that simple, folks. You're welcome. And you can do this with any kind of ribbon that is sturdy enough to carry the weight of your skates. On a real note, look at the difference in the sewing. Like... I really need a sewing machine.
