I have already got my mind on spring, as you can tell.
I'm like already looking at all the floral things
and thinking about how I can decorate at home.
But it's not really stopping there for me
and probably for you too.
If you're a thrifter,
you're thrifting for your clothing too.
And you should be,
because there's so many amazing secondhand pieces out there.
And I've been wanting to kind of refresh some pieces
in my wardrobe.
Some really good staples, like classic pieces,
or I like to call them like a hero piece
that you can wear over and over again
and kind of help transition you from season to season.
So I got this really beautiful blouse from ThredUP.
I partnered with them in this video
and you already know ThredUP.
They're the world's largest online thrift store.
They have every name brand you can think of
and incredible deals on them.
So you should be shopping them if you haven't already.
I got this gorgeous blouse though,
and it's kind of this really soft kind of romantic material.
I love the drop sleeve.
It's almost like a Dolman sleeve
and this big exaggerated bow.
This is the brand JLUX, the label.
They sell this at Nordstrom.
This is a good quality piece.
It had estimated retail of $62
and I picked it up for only $28.99.
I love that I can wear this this time of year in the winter
or come spring, I can pop it over, you know,
a little tank and wear it with a skirt
and it'll help me transition from season to season.
I know you noticed the rad
and I use that rad word not very lightly
because there's no other way to describe this jacket.
Oh my gosh, I love this piece.
I wore this thrifting today as you saw,
but I needed a leather jacket in a different color
because this is like one of those pieces
that I think everyone should have in their wardrobes.
Like a good, you know, classic piece
that you're just gonna have for years.
So I got to show you this though.
I have this black leather jacket
that I think I've had for like 12 years.
I have worn this thing to death.
It's still an amazing shape though,
but I wear this all the time
just because it's really soft and versatile,
but I kind of wanted something in a lighter color.
So I just thrifted this one
and the design on this is so unique and rad,
but I love it because like the interior of the sleeve here
has this really nice, almost like sweater material.
So it's super soft, stretchy,
and actually breathable for a leather jacket.
This is the brand Lamarque.
They sell this at Revolve, like Revolve, okay?
But Revolve is expensive.
So if you want to snag a good deal on these designer pieces,
I'm telling you, like ThredUP is where it's at.
You're not gonna believe the price on this one though.
This jacket had an estimated retail of 695 bucks
and I got it on ThredUP baby for 143.10.
So it is a thrift investment piece,
but I know that I'm gonna have this for years
because it's gorgeous and the material,
the quality of this is like top notch.
Plus I'm gonna be able to wear this come spring.
You know, that same like cute little skirt outfit
I was showing you,
pop it right over the top of that blouse baby
or with a dress or with jeans like I did today
for even a more casual look.
I love this jacket.
I love a booty.
I live in Oregon and I'm pretty much living,
I'm living every day in boots this time of year.
So these I thought would be really great for me
to transition into the next season.
They are a lace-up style, which I think is really fun
because it kind of speaks to my more vintage aesthetic
and just a little bit more of like
a romantic femme vibe to them.
I love that they're really, really comfortable
and easy to walk into
because they got a nice stacked heel on them.
And look at the little lace-up,
adorable interior zipper too,
which I think is so important with a lace-up boot,
makes it really easy to get into.
These are gonna be nice
because I can wear them with jeans
or like a nice little slack
or with a dress or a skirt come springtime.
They're just a really easy piece to transition.
I got a screaming deal on these, okay?
So these are the brand BCBG Generation.
They had an estimated retail value of $159
and I thrifted them for only $26.10.
ThredUP's made it really easy
to find exactly what you're looking for.
So if you see something that I featured in this video
or even something that I've worn on my Instagram page,
you can screenshot it, upload it to ThredUP
and it'll scan all of their items
to find exactly what you're looking for
and it makes it really fun to shop too.
And don't forget, if you use my code at checkout
or visit the link down in the description box,
you can get 50% off your first order
and free shipping with them.
Mom, show them your new purse you got for Christmas.
I thrifted my mom's purse.
I like littler purses and Selena,
now she's bought me two brown ones,
a little brown one and a middle-sized brown one.
Now I have a little red one.
I love these kind because on the inside,
you have the two sides and a middle pocket
and an outside pocket here where you can stick,
like that's usually where I stick my telephone.
Well, I thrifted, I got that on Facebook Marketplace.
This lady bought it for her granddaughter
and the granddaughter said it was too small
and it was a brand new purse.
I was like, this is perfect for my mom.
Yeah.
It's a little statement piece, isn't it?
Yeah.
Yeah, it's so cute.
We're headed to Goodwill right now
and we're hoping that the shelves
are packed with some goodies.
I'm also hoping to go back to Assistance League
in Beaverton, that was that place
that had all like the antiques and consignment
and thrift side, that spot that I love,
because it's Saturday, so we're thrifting on the weekends.
Yeah, we usually don't go weekends because it's busy,
but after Christmas, it might be a lull
and people's buying and we might be able to score.
Let's go.
Feels like the thrift apocalypse in here.
Brand new Buffalo jeans.
Yeah, it's still fuzzy on the inside.
That's a sweatshirt though.
Yeah.
Are you looking for a zip up, like a jacket?
No, I'm looking for exercise thing, long sleeve thing.
Look at this little bowl, it's cabbage with bunnies.
Cute, huh?
Yeah, this is kind of cute.
This is cute, little bunnies on it.
Little plantain.
It's fun on little mushrooms and stuff.
Look at this one, Selena.
Oh, that color's really pretty.
Look at the handle on there.
I like how like the divots.
Yeah, it looks like it's like,
we can tell it's been blown, you know?
Yeah, I love the coloring.
This would be beautiful with daffodils
or like your bath oils or something.
Bath oil.
Ooh, I love that, yes.
Let's do it.
Look at this speaker.
I would have wanted this when I was a teenager.
Look at the sparkles on this thing.
That's kind of fun, huh?
It's like a big ball on there.
Two matching ones.
Like what would those cost at Monterey Bar?
Look at this, it's a pineapple.
Isn't that fun?
That looks like that Italian toll wire I like.
But it's a newer lamp, I think, with this kind of wiring.
That's kind of fun though.
Those lampshades.
That dark.
Those dark lamps.
I think he's kind of cute.
Oh, the color's really neat.
Yeah.
Is it like acrylic?
I don't know, they're heavy.
They're from Z Gallery.
They're 40 bucks.
I love this color,
like paired with like a nice white or coral with it,
like for an accent.
I like these just because they're 3D.
Coming out.
Look at this for an Easter basket.
That's really cute.
I mean, you have to get three.
$3.99.
You have to get some Easter things.
Aw.
Remember, look at your face right now.
Remember the vintage tablecloth
I got with the little bunnies and tulips?
Oh, that's precious.
We have to have some seasonal stuff.
We just found two fabulous things.
I think this picture is so pretty.
Look at that.
Oh, it has a little hummingbird on it.
Yeah, a little hummingbird.
It's all hand-painted.
That's cute.
You got to look pretty with some flowers or in juice.
But any output.
I'd do flowers for sure.
Like daisies in there.
Ooh, like Shasta daisies.
And then I found these April Cornell.
Oh, these are pretty.
Yeah, placemat set.
There's a whole set of four.
Like see how there are like birds hidden in there
and butterflies and different things.
Yeah, I thought it was really pretty
on an autumn table or a summer table.
Look what else I found that kind of looks really pretty.
You can even put like a big candle in here
or like little candies or nuts or something.
I don't know if this is Murano,
but it looks kind of-
Looks like Murano glass.
I once saw this thing.
This lady bought a vintage Louis Vuitton trunk,
I think from a Goodwill,
and found out it was worth like tens of thousands.
It was one of the old ones.
Like from the early-
Oh man, this is it.
Yeah, that really found it.
Look at this old handle.
It's all like made out of rope.
All leather bound on there.
Can you imagine like carrying your clothes
for a polder guy?
See if it's any good inside.
This man is going to be full of money.
Probably stinks in here.
Full of anti-clothes.
Oh, pretty.
Oh, that's actually really pretty.
Oh, this was a lady's trunk then, huh?
Boy, some lady got traveling stuff.
Oh, I love that fabric.
It'd be like a beautiful wallpaper.
I spotted this dress on the rack
and was thinking this would be really nice in the summer
when it's super hot.
Cause it's like light weight.
It's got the little split.
I love it when they have that nice built-in slip.
This one looks like a good brand
cause it's all like it's sewn.
Yeah, it's finished nicely.
Stretchy top all the way around.
And then the straps are adjustable too.
So I think that'll be nice.
So we were all sweating it
cause there's nowhere to park.
I'm like, I'll go out on the main road
and we'll just walk or whatever.
My mom's like, there's a spot.
Oh, we got that second spot next to the store, mom.
I'm the shark finding places in parking lots.
Selena does the driving.
I go, turn right, second hole.
Get it, get in there.
So we found out why it's so busy.
Everything in here is half off.
Like it's dessert.
I found two things.
This is a vintage 80s Victor Costa green velvet.
Look how pretty, it has a corset top.
Isn't that pretty?
Looks like a gap in the top though.
Well, it's on a hanger right now,
but if there were some boobs under there, it would stay.
See, look, it has the corset bone top.
How pretty that is.
My mom, show them your face right now.
Look at the judgment.
Good thing I have good self-esteem.
My mom spotted this really cool.
It's like an Italian leather trench with the,
oh, that might be real fur.
And you can take the hood off.
And it has the thinsulate lining that you can unzip.
And it's real, it's like a real Italian brand
with the flag and everything.
That means it's soft leather.
Oh yeah.
It's 20 bucks.
Ooh, it has the nice.
Inside sweater sleeve.
Oh, I love it when jackets have that.
Oh, I can't even put my arms out.
Dang, I'm shaking.
It's cute.
Oh, it's a little like Victorian glider rocker.
I love this color of blue too.
Oh my gosh, that's beautiful.
Oh, this is silk.
Oh, that is pretty.
Oh, the color is stunning.
Look at that.
It's like all pastel.
And right by your bed.
I know, it's stunning.
It's not quite wide enough.
I have the silk one on the opposite side of the bed.
Look at these pretty side tables.
$200, wow.
Wow.
These are really pretty all carved.
Have like some nice like inlay work on there too.
Just needs to be oiled again.
Oh my gosh, that's beautiful.
$375, 1910 from Philadelphia, Mother of Pearl.
Look at this.
Oh my gosh, they're like gargoyles.
Can you see that?
Floor is gargoyle.
Wow, this is a nice couch too.
Mom's flopping.
Are you tapping out already?
We're just getting started.
I like the big high back on those.
Yeah, the tall ceilings.
Yeah, I love that.
On your entryway and put a nice table in the middle.
Yeah, I love that idea.
Look at all the furniture.
Oh, and all the lamps and things today.
Yeah, they got a lot more furniture now.
Oh yeah, that's all silk too.
Pattern sure is pretty.
I love the shape of that chair too,
like the curve.
A little flower thing.
Oh, that's neat.
It has like the flower frog in there.
Yeah, it's like artist's sign too.
That's really cool.
Olga Golden.
Look at that.
Oh, look at that neat seashell mirror.
That's a cool one.
Oh, this one even has coral on it.
Oh, I love these little tea towels.
These are like what, from the 30s or 40s?
Yeah.
So they're all finished around each of the flowers.
Ooh, look at this semi-cabbage with the little dip.
I have a cabbage one and it just has this.
So that shows me that it's missing the bowl.
You can put your bowl in there.
Yeah.
You can put one in your bowl.
Yeah, I have a little small
and I should see if mine fits when I get home.
I like these with the lilies.
Only $5 a plate.
Really pretty.
Oh, these are pretty, Mom, look at.
They're only $4.
Gorgeous yellow.
Oh, I like that.
Ooh, with the bird.
Those are cool.
Have you ever grown amaryllis?
And you know the big bulbs and they just sit in water?
20 bucks with vase.
Of course I came home with this pitcher vase.
You know me, I'm not gonna leave a beautiful vase behind.
I feel like you could probably use this
for syrups or juices,
even if you had a small little gathering at your table.
But I just thought the design of this is really pretty.
I like kind of the squatty look to it
and this blown glass handle.
It's so pretty.
I was gonna ask you, though,
because it's got some hazing on the inside
and I was gonna get a bottle.
Can you see that in there?
That kind of little bit of hazing.
I think it's just from like hard water and stuff.
I was gonna get a bottle brush and clean this,
but I was wondering if you have any tricks of your own
for cleaning vases or small pitchers like this
with a small opening.
Is there a special soap that you like?
I feel like there's like a little science experiment
I could make, like baking soda and vinegar.
Doesn't that like bubble or something?
Or is that for like clogged drains?
I don't know.
Would that work for here?
I feel like somebody is gonna have
a really good solution out there.
So please comment below and let me know your tricks
for cleaning glass pieces like this,
because I'm curious and I love to be able
to help each other out, too, in the comments.
So let me know down below.
How should I clean this thing because it's so pretty?
Oh my gosh, those little fangs, little fang.
Yes, I came home with the world's cutest Easter basket.
Now, one ear is a little wonky, a little floppy,
as you can see.
Should I fix that or should I?
He's kind of fun.
He's kind of fun just being a little weird and different.
You know, I think we should all celebrate that.
But I have never seen like a really nice
little Easter bunny basket like this.
It's actually wicker.
It's not one of those dumb throwaway plastic ones.
But I thought that this would be really adorable
for a floral arrangement because you could put
just a mason jar in here to protect the wicker
and make a really cute arrangement
with little daffodils or daisies come Easter.
Or you could put candy in here.
Or you could roll up little hand towels
in your guest bathroom.
Wouldn't that be cute?
Like little pinks and yellows and blues all rolled in here.
Oh, that would be so cute.
But I saw this and my vase,
my wheels were turning about things
that I already had at home.
And I remembered, do you remember this thing?
So I don't expect you to remember all the stuff I find.
But I got this vintage tablecloth like last month,
I believe.
And so I have this in my stash.
This will be coming to my website,
thevintagebombshell.com.
I was just kind of waiting for the holidays to be over.
This print is so cute.
So this is a vintage one and it's in pristine condition.
Look how cute the little Easter bunny
in the wicker basket.
And there's big tulips and ribbons all over it.
So I was just thinking,
how beautiful would these all look paired together?
I save things that are kind of classics.
Like we just talked about clothing and stuff,
but I save classic pieces for decorating my home,
especially for tablescapes.
If you mix out your tablecloths like this,
it's like novelty prints for the seasons.
And you have staples, like a really great placemat.
And for me, I love my wickery ones
that are kind of a nice neutral.
And I always use,
you're probably so tired of these things,
but I don't care.
My cabbage dishes.
Okay, there's no better time to use cabbage dishes
than for Easter and for spring.
So I was thinking how nice they would look paired on top
with some milk glass,
maybe a pretty daffodil bouquet or baby's breath,
little Gerber daisies, it just goes on and on.
As you can see, I can't wait for spring.
I'm so ready for color right now.
I'm probably gonna start doing some springy things
in the house already
because my heart is pulling to the flowers, can you tell?
I love thrifting pieces for my bathroom as well.
And I know this probably sounds really funny,
but I usually put some kind of fresh flowers
or a plant in the downstairs bathroom, like the powder room.
And I saw this really beautiful Italian vase at Goodwill.
And the coloring is perfect.
I keep that bathroom downstairs.
It's the birdbath.
I keep it really monotone in there.
Everything is blue and white.
And I think it makes it look like really just nice
and clean and open.
And honestly, it feels bigger for a really small bathroom.
And so when I found this vase, this classic blue and white,
I just thought it was beautiful.
So this is really tall.
Like the vase itself has a really deep reservoir bowl to it.
So I can use larger stems in here.
The coloring is beautiful.
And it also has this really stunning
like scalloped top to it.
So pretty, I was super excited to find this.
I also, I did get something new for the house.
And I wanted to show you these cute little towels.
I needed to refresh my linens down there,
but HomeGoods has Laura Ashley stuff right now.
So you should definitely check that out,
especially if you love more romantic
and kind of feminine decor like I do.
But they have these blue and white towels
and they have the matching bath towels too,
but I just got the two pack of hand towels.
So I think it was, I think it was 12.99, 9.99
for a set of two,
or you can like reverse it on the back
to the more white and blue accent.
But I just thought that these were so, so pretty.
I love how they just pair perfectly in that downstairs bath.
But I wanted to give you a heads up
because their stuff always goes really quickly.
Like the Laura Ashley stuff specifically at that store.
So if you like it, go check out yours right now.
They had some other really pretty
like kind of rose and florally patterns too,
but I just love this with the little ribbon.
Had to share this with you.
Oh, hello, stunning April Cornell placemats.
I got the entire set of four
and they're in beautiful condition.
Set of four like this is just perfect
for my dining room table,
but look at the beautiful pattern.
This is a really nice kind of thicker linen type material,
but it's got a pattern of really beautiful birds
and blooms and botanicals.
And check out this contrasting
stitch detailed border all around.
I love details like this.
I also loved how this bowl paired so beautifully.
Now, blown glass pieces are some of my favorite things
to look for when I go thrifting.
A dish like this, you could place jewelry in,
maybe a scented candle, use this as a candle holder.
Little candies or nuts on your table
I think would be very, very pretty.
But look at the color combination.
Now this would be stunning I think for autumn or fall,
or even if you do a little bit more muted look for spring,
how pretty would this be?
I wanted to show you these candlesticks
that I got years ago on Craigslist,
and I've decorated with them so many different ways,
but that's what I love about vintage shopping, thrifting,
is that you're finding these pieces
that are made with quality materials,
and they can kind of carry you through the years
and through seasons, and you can mix and match with them.
So like, check it out.
These candlesticks match so perfectly
with the placemats that I just got.
I hope you had fun thrifting with me in today's video.
Please comment below.
If you're out thrifting right now,
please let me know what the coolest thing you found,
because the stores are just loaded.
There are so many neat things to be found.
I am already thinking spring as we talked about,
so I'm excited to go thrifting
and see what else I can find to kind of refresh some things.
And don't forget to check out ThredUP,
the world's largest online thrift store,
and use my discount over here for 50% off
and free shipping on your very first order.
Thanks so much for watching,
and I'll see you in the next video.
