Hi how are you Welcome to another video I'm Ida Lee
Today I want to show you how we'll be maintaining my Hecheveria albicans colonies
They're beautiful a Korean hybrid and they need transplanting
I've been putting off so many of these wonderful things but today we really have to do it
So enjoy it thoroughly subscribe share and let's get started
Look at how beautiful these are here—they're already in a pot that's quite
full I've wanted to repot them for a while but I haven't gotten around to it
These are albino hecheverias and we'll transplant as many as we can
It's going to rain soon Let's put them in a plastic pot right away
I recently reused these but I've already cleared them out
And I think they'll do really well here so let's go ahead and move them
It was a styrofoam block and it grew into very nice colonies
See I reused this stuff a lot—specifically the styrofoam
I've always had great results with styrofoam
So let's remove the stones since in the end I was putting in small stones
And that helps a lot in preventing rot by allowing better root drainage
So we'll remove the weeds taking advantage of the opportunity
We're going to clear away all this overgrowth
And if you want to remove the offshoots you can remove the offshoots
I'll place it here lower this one and then add the substrate
We'll place this on the floor and add a subfloor so it doesn't sink in too much
And if you want to separate the little ones you can do so
But really I don’t want to separate them I don’t want to
I think that's how it should be
I'll leave the small stones at the bottom I
like that because it's kept everything well in place these past rainy days
I think we've gone far enough
We'll remove the largest stones
We'll only leave you with a few
It needs more substrate
But here I already have the stones
Look we've already removed them
Yes I want it to have stone but not too much
I think this is already here
There it is It's going
to fit snugly
I don't even know if this pot suits it or if I should put it in a larger one
I'd like a larger one
What do you think
Do I have big pots Yes
I just cleared out a few of these
Antier I believe
And I'd love to have washed them for this video
But it's like the pot—this one's smaller
I feel these would suit them better
They're fine
The only difference is that this pot has less space
I think this pot will suit him better because it's larger
Here we go we're in for a treat
And we're going to place these stones here
Let's make the most of it
And we'll add more substrate to it
I never thought this pot would be so small
These ones are large The
pot I have is very big
We'll add enough growing medium Since it's
a larger pot it requires more growing medium
And I think that's already well enough
Don't let it sink too much
But also don't let it rise too high
It's important that it doesn't rise too high
And there's another one I have to transplant too
There's a lot that needs transplanting in that garden
So much so much
We're going to apply the substrate
Let's raise it a bit
I absolutely love it
I have some colonies
Yes this one has quite a few
The largest colonies I have also require maintenance
They need to be stripped of their rosettes
I think I've already sent this all the way here
I think it's there
Ready We're going to give it a little tap
Make yourselves comfortable
Tell me how much of a mess we've made
There it is
Now we're finally going to add the decorative stones
Now we're going to add decorative stones
I don't want touch them too much because I don't want to take away their power
But that's where it stands
Hello guys
Gently tap to
settle it in place The little
stone And it's done
See how it turned out
The before and after
Absolutely beautiful
Let's move on to another gem
Let's go with this one take a look
It's already got plenty of little ones so it's best to leave it as is
And we need to clear away the weeds
I think this one will fit
here—look this one The first
one were using Yes this one
will go in Let's take it out
Because the other colony was just a bit larger
Just a bit larger
Look a snail
No he's already dead He had nothing left—
just like the snail was already in that state
We're going to get her out
That's enough already
He covered them with a layer of stone so
they wouldn't suffer so much in the rain
They did well because they stay very neat
Let's clear away this weeds
We're going to clear out this weed that's always a constant presence in my garden
But she's already more dead than alive because she's not being watered
Yet they still have moisture
Miren this land is still extremely damp
Oh it's not dry at all
But the weeds are already dying
Because that one does have
it's just missing water
I'll place this here And we'll
add his trotas We'll leave those
little stones in place Because
it's worked out very well for us
And we can just leave them there
And it's been raining recently
Almost all year
So it's important that the plants are well drained
Even though we can remove the ones that are too big
The ones that are too big those we definitely can remove
How are you doing look here
I think it's fine like this
And it's awesome
And we put in our little ones
And we add our little plant
Our little hecheveria
I want it to be perfectly centered
I think that's it
Now we're finally going to fill it with substrate
That one truly suited her perfectly
I placed the decorative stone
I didn't realize the recording
wasn't on Oh well it stayed that
way I'll clean it up and show you
See how it turned
out Beautiful
Very pretty You know
what happens
Spiders always weave their webs here
In my poor little rosetas What
do I need to do
My brothers say
Well just smoke them so they'll die soon
But they're important too
They eat the pests that attack succulents
That's why I don't use pesticides
So they don't come to any harm
But look
Yes the rosettes do fill me with a lot of spiderwebs
But it turned out great
Very beautiful
Now let's move on to another lovely one
Before the rain starts
Because it's clear that rain is indeed going to start
Now let's move on to this one
Because also take a look
I have this pot that's already been around for quite some time
It was reused
But it's already deteriorated
For the sake of time
And even a rosette is starting to grow right here
From a hole
So today
yes This pot is going to suit him perfectly
This one I think
this is going to look amazing here
We're going in
All of these are hybrids of
What are they called
Korean hybrids
They're Korean hybrids I'm
afraid
Let it shoot off at once
Squeeze out the moisture
That's enough
She's only just asked me a short while ago
I think that's it
Let's tweak it a bit over here
So it has room for this little baby
And this one
I'd like to remove it
So we can pull the rosette a bit
Yes we're going to take it off
What should we do
Let it stay like this
We'll apply the substrate now
Substrate
All the ones we just
transplanted are
Korean hybrids
They're all Korean hybrids
All of them all of them
We'll start from the other end
From the other end
We'll put it here
Substrate
With great care
Ready
The rain had already started
Now we're going to add decorative stones
Because before the black one protected me
When the rain began
Sobisna
Not now
We'll add some decorative stones
And there it stayed
I think it's a big improvement from the pot I had
before But you know those
pots were from a rosette
This entire neighborhood
gradually came
into being little by little over time
Little taps
And there it
is I think that about wraps it up
There's our little treasure
Clean and I'll show you Look
this lovely one is now ready It 's
going into a little pot next
But I was just sharing with you
that Well I was mentioning It was
just a little
rosette And then they
started creating These beautiful
Rosettes around her
So beautiful Let's try
another one Let's see
if we have time because the rain is coming
Now let's move on to this one
It's also a colony
Quite large
And I'm going to reuse this other pot I have
I think he used to boil it here
These planters go in the
I know it might feel like
Two days
It's already full of jewels
Overloaded with jewels
There it's properly secured
Let's apply the substrate
We'll put it right here
And we're going to
add substrate
So it doesn't sink in so much
I think more because
it won't be enough
And it shouldn't feel so shallow either
Tell me how many babies she has
Feed your babies
How lovely
So sorry
But I think
He’s going to have to remove the babies
Because it no longer fits
Don't enter
What are we going to do I didn't
want to take the babies away from her
Actually let's
lower the pot
And let's see which one we're going to remove
Well we're going to remove
Not many not more than that
We'll remove just a few
A sprig of rosemary
I don't know which one
I think I want to take these off
But we're not going to
Plant the rocket
The colony
What do we do
I think we're going to
try removing this one
Vean how beautiful
And now that we've got it let's get rid of this one too
And that's how it stays
Now it's really going in I think
Oh
You know what
I'm not leaving it there
It's going to fall
That's settled then
Now we can finally apply the substrate
Now truly
Substrate
And for a little
while You know what While
I'm out buying wider planters
Just wait a moment you guys here
Gentle taps
Let the substrate settle
Gentle taps
And that's all we do—just lay down the stone
And they're just little
ones See these little ones
They're very pretty We
would have taken these off
They're stylish aren't they
Now we'll add decorative stones and plant these
Vean
Now we'll place your decorative stone
I think we're going to take these babies away from them later
Well in fact we're going to transplant the entire thing again
And that way I
end up with more planters
Space
Spacious
Not too deep but
with plenty of room
Because these are very
large and beautiful colonies
Which he develops
This is a hecheveria—
albicans No
albida Why did
I say albicans
Because
it's a dark hecheveria
See how it turned out
For now he can stay right there
And then once that happens we'll be
transplanting the other one with more
space since these
little ones will grow to the
size of these large ones Look
Because Mama Roseta is this one
And she produced in this section
babies but we've taken them away
right now these are the ones
And everything around it
And look how beautiful it becomes
A nice color
A normal size
They have a medium size
Although they may grow a bit larger
Well let's plant these
rosettes we've just
Take it off
I'll lower it like this
Now we're finally going to plant
these hecheverias
Let's remove these
little ones Here comes a baby right
there We're going to
take off the leaves
Taking advantage of
All the dry leaves
But I'm going to grab it by the
root because
I'm afraid that if I touch them
too much I'll rub off their bloom
They know that to keep their beautiful succulents healthy
they mustn't touch the bloom
This one has a lot of bloom
So let's get it in
Let's establish roots
Because its roots are
very long
Let's remove the roots
All these roots are old We're
leaving them with
just a little bit
We'll place them here And
we'll add enough substrate
A little
more substrate
And so she always plants them
as if there were no tomorrow
I always make them sturdy
They fill up And they
turn into these massive Colombian-style ones
Incredible
Well there it is check it out
Now let's move on to this one
That tape
Very beautiful
We remove dry leaves
And we're also going to do a
root cleanse That 's
enough for now
And quickly they start to grow When we plant cuttings
roots grow very fast
We add a small amount of substrate
And there it is
It's tiny
They remained together
Beautiful
Now I'll show you how they turned out
I'm going to show you one that I won't be able to transplant
Look at this neighborhood—how
beautiful
it is I've already
been telling you that
spiders always spin
their webs here It's perfectly normal And
indeed it's quite natural
In these pots
Well I just couldn 't
transplant her
because I
need wider pots
But as soon as
we have them we'll
transplant them
We'll dust them off
The white planters collect dust like nothing else
I know we removed
these babies look And transplanted
it It's
beautiful
Beautiful beautiful
I love it
How beautiful
But those spiders keep
spinning webs Since we couldn't transplant this one
we did
manage to transplant
four others
I'm going to show you all of them together
That's how they turned out—look how
beautiful all their planters are Look lovely
This is the Korean
hybrid Echeveríaalbia
They generate giant
giant beautiful colonies
