Hello everyone this is Akane from
Akane's Japanese Class Today I'
m filming from the best room at
Paprika Hotel in Chiba Prefecture
It's not just a virtual
backdrop you know
Just wait a moment
Look it's moving perfectly fine
Yes today I'd like to show you
what I bring along when I travel
When traveling what matters most is the type of trip the
destination and the mode of
transportation as these factors
determine what you should bring—whether it's a domestic or
international journey or
traveling by plane versus car
Depending on the method of travel and destination
the items you bring will naturally differ but this
time I’d like to share what I pack when taking a
domestic flight in Japan for
a photography trip somewhere
First I'd like to introduce the items I use for work
Yes here it is—a notebook computer
I'm using a Surface
I often edit while traveling on Shinkansen
trains or airplanes using this notebook computer
I've been thinking about
the podcast script but
I can't edit it
without listening to the audio and
recently I bought these headphones
It's a pair of headphones
Sony ones actually
with such powerful noise cancellation that I
truly feel it was the
best purchase I've made
this year even though it was quite expensive
I impulsively bought it—
but I'm glad I did
You wear headphones like this right
That way the noise-cancellation feature works amazingly well
It might be a bit of an exaggeration to say
you can't hear anything but when you're on
a plane the noise is really intense and when you put on these headphones and start editing
I really can't help but notice the sound
Also these are the things used for filming
Last time I introduced what kind of equipment I used
for filming but just to mention
right now I'm filming using
That's about the way it looks
Can you see it
That's how I'm filming
I'll try using a selfie stick and my iPhone
This is a Google Pixel 5
And the most important part is the microphone
Today Holy Land has kindly become our sponsor
Thank you so much
Holy Land has already collaborated with us twice before
I'm still using the microphone
I received a long time ago
but this time I got a new one so I'll introduce this one
This is the Lark Max released by Holy Land an upgrade
from the Lark M1 I've been using since last year
A full-featured portable wireless microphone
that works with smartphones cameras
or computers What I really liked about
the Lark Max is the included magnet
You can use it with any outfit simply
by attaching a magnet—just stick one on
the outside of your clothing and it won’t be noticeable during outdoor shoots
Although sold separately the external pin microphone is compatible making it
very convenient for outdoor shooting and
there are three recording modes available
You can adjust the microphone volume individually one by one—this wireless microphone truly
has an impressive range of features One of the
most convenient aspects of this microphone is
The microphone itself has recording capabilities so
even if your iPhone or camera fails to record properly
Since the audio data is saved when connected to a
computer it gives me great
peace of mind I just stepped
outside my hotel room—what do you think There's a highway behind me and quite
a few cars are passing by
I think the microphone's sound quality is
quite good I've posted a link to LarkMax in the
description so feel free to check it out if
you're interested Next up is the charging cable
This is a Lightning charging cable for iPhone
The two ends are shaped like this
There are two of them
They might differ from what's used in your country
Another thing I find extremely convenient and always
bring with me is a USB
device that can charge various
types of devices it's a power bank that I use to
recharge my smartphone whenever its battery runs out
It's a business card holder
My business card is inside
When visiting hotels or shops where I'm filming
I hand over my card and greet them with a polite request for their support
Next is something indispensable
to me—something absolutely
essential I'm currently wearing
contact lenses I have contacts in
That's why I always bring along the cleaning
solution for my contacts and the contact lens case
even though I could buy them at a convenience
store if needed but I just feel uneasy without them
I'll definitely bring them along since I don't want to be caught off guard if
the contact lenses break I'll also
pack a spare pair in this zippered pouch
After removing contact lenses I wear glasses
This is a glasses cloth
This is a glasses case
Next is earplugs
Do you know what these are
They look like this
Wearing these makes sounds harder to hear
I can't sleep well anywhere other than at home
I wake up even to small noises
Earplugs are essential
They're absolutely necessary for me
Next up is something for use in the bathroom
First I'll introduce the shampoo
I usually use the shampoo found in hotels
But sometimes there are these trial or sample items available so I use those I
bought this one from Mr Matsumoto I wanted
to share it with everyone so I purchased it
I'll write the price here
We generally use the hotel's body soap
Next is a toothbrush and toothpaste set
Toothpaste these days sometimes says "tooth gel" or "tooth paste
" on the label and I actually just bought a new one a moment ago
I bought a new one because the one I'd been using was getting quite old
It says "travel set" on it
It contains a toothbrush and toothpaste
I'll write down the price too it was around 400 yen I think
Also you wash your face right
I'm wearing a bit of makeup too
During those times I'll use a makeup remover in the form of clothing so
I'll open this one I just picked up
since the previous one I used ran out
Taking this and wiping it off removes makeup
Makeup comes off
When traveling skincare toners or creams applied to the face are
I usually use test or sample products for that but just now when I went
to Matsukiyo I found this set on sale
so I'd like to share it with everyone
This looks familiar—I think I've seen it at a convenience store
It's the Softimo one-night stay set
Here's what's inside:
Cleansing oil facial wash toner night cream day cream
black mask and more—having all these
would be very convenient I think
When washing my face since my hair
is a bit long I use something to tie
it back like this rubber band or
sometimes I even bring along a hairband
This is a hair clip right
I bring one to hold back
my bangs and this one's
inside this bag—it's hair oil
I think these were actually Indonesian products weren't they
Since they're designed to be used one at a time
they're incredibly convenient when traveling
Just remove the contents and apply them to your hair for moisture
My hair feels nourished
After taking a bath I
sometimes apply this body
lotion This is on my arm
I apply body lotion
I apply it to my arms
And other things I’m bringing along are
a steam eye mask
I often see foreign
tourists purchasing this
Placing it over your
eyes gives a soothing
warmth making it great for relieving
eye strain—I sometimes use it on airplanes
and also before sleeping at a hotel
And this one I haven't used
yet but I'm thinking of trying
it out soon—it's Megrizumu's carbonated soft foot pack
These are adhesive patches you apply to your calves—
after traveling extensively and walking a lot don 't
your feet often swell up I decided to try them
since they seem really effective in such situations
Next up for those heading out on
trips during the hot summer months
this is a must-have
It's a wipe-down sheet designed to absorb sweat
and there are various types available
I'll show you how to do it
You pull it out like this and wipe your
body with it It feels incredibly cool
making you feel refreshed so it's highly recommended for hot summer days
There are really all kinds of them available
Finally I'd like to introduce something related
to medicine — this isn't
a medication but I think
women may suddenly need it sometimes — this is it — yes this is a sanitary pad for menstruation
It's a napkin
You can buy it at a drugstore convenience store or supermarket
At a drugstore you'll find it in the
section labeled feminine hygiene products
It says "for daytime use" here some products also
indicate whether they're for daytime or nighttime use and
others include size details like so many centimeters so
if you need one please look
for the one that fits you best
I've got some Bufferin with
me—these little tablets here
pain relievers for when you
have a headache or
stomachache
That type of pain-relieving medication is
called a painkiller Of course if it lasts
for a long time you should see a doctor but if it's just a little painful then
I sometimes take this Bufferin when
I'm feeling unwell then there's cold
medicine which comes in various types
but the one I usually take is Contact
I haven't been getting
sick lately so there'
s really been no chance to take it but still
when I'm traveling I end up going to places
I don't know and my body isn't used to them
I think we've all suddenly felt unwell
at some point and during those times I
figure it's comforting to have a little
something like this on hand just in case
Then there's bandages—things you
stick on injured areas They're also
called cut bands
Band-Aid is probably
a brand name After a quick search
He also mentioned that terms like "Bansoukou
" or "Sabio" vary by region apparently
and today I rented this room not to
stay overnight but for another purpose
I borrowed this to introduce what I'm bringing for everyone
Paprika Hotel thank you so much for always
looking after us We really appreciate it
So let me show you
First take a look at this kitchen
It's a magnificent kitchen
At Paprika Hotel
this room is the only
one equipped with a kitchen including
a refrigerator and microwave plus
a coffee maker—of course it's here
Required cooking utensils and equipme
Also available is a frying pan
There's a sofa and a TV here and the
bed is in a separate room There's
also a desk and a chair so you can
work here There's a
TV in this room too
Next to the bedroom is a bathroom
A clean bathroom with a bathtub
Many hotels have things
like shampoo and body soap
I usually use things from the hotel and
you can actually see "Paprika Hotel"
written on even the amazing towels That'
s right—the hotel's
name is Paprika Hotel
That's the hotel's name up to here
It's unique isn't it
Let's take a look outside
This room is truly special
When you look out
Ta-da
Isn't it great
This is lovely isn't it The atmosphere
gets even better at night By the
way this hotel also has a restaurant
—just walk through here to get to it
Yes that's all for today
