Eugene de Blaas (1843–1931) was an Italian-Austrian Academic Classicist painter, famous for his detailed, vibrant genre scenes of Venetian life, especially beautiful young women, often portrayed in colorful, historical costumes or performing daily tasks, reflecting his father's influence and his own studies at the academies in Rome and Venice. He achieved significant popularity in Britain, exhibiting at the Royal Academy, and is known for works like "The Love Letter" and "The Italian Flower Girl".
