Hi everyone, welcome back to my channel, or if you are new here for the first time then
hello, welcome.
In today's video I am filming my living room Christmas decorate with me.
This has been filmed for almost a month already and I'm barely getting it up.
If you have been here for a while you know that we have two foster babies under 13 months here
in our home, a newborn and then a 13 month old, so it has definitely been chaotic to say the least.
I am unfortunately sick now so my motivation and just energy levels have been so low if I'm being
honest, but I'm so proud of myself and giving myself a pat on the back for decorating early
because I have been decorated for almost a month so very happy that I don't have that to worry
about on top of being sick. We did get a new tree this year, it's the King of Christmas 9 foot King
Fraser fir slim. I absolutely love it and I will have it linked below for you. We're going to style
our arched cabinet to the left of the Christmas tree. I'm taking these new rattan trees from the
at Target, placing those on the third shelf and then I am going to place this oval shaped artwork
that I also got from Target. This is from Hearth and Hand. The holiday season is extra special this
year because we have kiddos in our house for the first time so I am trying to make it extra special
for them. I'm going to take my favorite Christmas stems and you can use these for winter which I
love. They're from Hobby Lobby. They do sell out quickly so if you haven't gone to your local
Hobby Lobby, definitely go soon to see if they have any more left. I am trying to incorporate
more traditional colors so I am taking this beautiful velvet red ribbon and I'm going to
be wrapping that around the vase that I just placed the cedar stems in. For this round wooden
pedestal that I got from Etsy, I'm just going to add this cute little gold deer that I got from
Home Goods a couple years ago. I love the way that it looks and then I'm going to be taking
these massive gold bells from my Texas house last year. These were from Walmart, sadly she didn't
bring them back, but I'm just going to be adding some red velvet bows. These are pre-made bows from
Amazon which I love and it's kind of funny because when I bought these bells last year, they actually
came with almost exactly the same bows, the same color and everything, so it's funny that I'm putting
red velvet bows back on them, but I absolutely love the way that these look in our arched cabinet.
I love the pop of color and the gold brass is just stunning contrasted against the black.
I originally wanted to pair this little Christmas tree candle with this candle holder. I love the
way that it looks, but I ended up adding another candle holder with some of my battery powered
candles from Amazon, which you will see when I show you an overview of how the space turned out.
For the bottom shelf, I'm taking this woven sleigh from Hobby Lobby. This is a fan favorite. They do
bring it back every single year and I believe with the 50% off, it's around $50. I cannot wait
to take some pictures of our little foster babies in their matching Christmas outfits in here.
I have had that vision since I started decorating, so I'm hoping that I can get to that soon.
To finish off styling inside the arched cabinet, I'm going to do a little switcheroo and move
the rattan trees to the left instead of the right. Moving on to actually decorate our tree,
the left ornament is from Kirkland's and the right ornament is from Target. The Kirkland's
ornaments were around $6 a piece on sale, but the ones from Target were only $1 each. I almost
wish that I would have bought more, but I just didn't think of it, of course, at the time. But
I really wanted to add in pops of red into our decor this year to have more of a traditional
Christmas. And if I'm being honest, I could not love it more. I'm honestly surprised at how much
I love it just because I've kept everything neutral for every year before this, so very happy
with the way that it turned out. I'm then adding in some of my older ornaments that I've had from
previous years. The white cream ornament is from the Studio McGee Threshold Collection last year,
and the tinsel ornament is still available at Target and is definitely a best seller.
I am going to incorporate some of the velvet or flocked ornaments from Hobby Lobby in the
cream color, and then you'll see I'm adding in that deep brown color as well. To finish the tree,
I'm taking these red pre-made bows from Amazon. They have sold out and I bought another brand.
Those have also sold out, so I will try to link something similar, but I really like the way that
these look on the tree. I got a new tree topper as well. If you saw that, it's from Crate and
Barrel. I was not expecting it to be so large, but I was pleasantly surprised when I got it in the
mail. Last year, I put some garland around our arched cabinet, and this year I wanted to add in
a Christmas wreath, so I'm taking this cedar wreath. I'm honestly not sure where I got this
from. It's one of my favorite wreaths and I wish I could remember where it's from. If I can, I will
have it linked below or I'll try to find something similar, but I am just attaching a red velvet
ribbon that I put into a bow and then also taking this vintage bell that I shared with you guys in
one of my previous Christmas hauls. For those of you that are wondering, I just used a command hook
to attach it to our arched cabinet. I'm going to keep it very simple for our accent chair. To the
left of our arched cabinet, I'm just going to be swapping out pillow covers, which if you've been
here for a while, you know I struggle with. I will just never understand how people seem so
effortless doing this and folding the pillow insert in half and then just seamlessly placing
it into the pillow cover. That just could never be me, so I struggle every time and if you do,
you are not alone. I'm just adding in a faux fur blanket from Walmart. I tried out two different
accent pillows, one little ornament and then a snowflake, but I decided I liked the snowflake
a little better. For our mantle, I'm keeping it very similar to previous years. I love this My
Texas House garland for a base so that you can add some of that draping greenery. It looks very
organic. I love it. I'm then taking two different garlands that I have kind of meshed together,
a Norfolk pine garland and a cedar garland. I am using nails. Our mantle my husband made
from scratch, so it has a lot of imperfections, which makes me love it even more,
so adding in nails does no damage. It just adds a little more character.
I originally wanted to try this metal gold bow garland that I got in, but I just wasn't loving
it here, so I decided to put it downstairs and I love it there so much more. That decorate with me
will be coming soon, hopefully as well. That will be my last decorate with me for Christmas time.
I did get this Merry Christmas garland from Amazon. I have been wanting this for a few years.
I don't know why. I've just never pulled the trigger, but this year I did
and I think it was the perfect addition to our mantle.
For the corner, I'm adding in my gold bells that I always add in every year, and then I'm taking
that same velvet red ribbon that I used in our arched cabinet and just adding a tiny little pop
of color. For stockings, the white cream stockings are from two or three years ago,
the Threshold Studio McGee collection at Target. Sadly, I can't link those,
but these chunky knit brown stockings are from this year, the Hearth and Hand collection at
Target, so I will have those linked below for you. You know I love me some fairy lights. It
just adds a nice magical little touch, so I'm going to be weaving that through the garland
that I put on the mantle. For the couch, I'm going to start off by using our Chom Chom
roller from Amazon and our lint roller. We have three dogs and a cat, so this is an absolute
must to do. I don't do it as often as I should, but I love these two products for getting a lot
of the dog hair off. For the left side of our couch, I'm adding in this throw blanket that I
got from HomeGoods last year, and I'm asking my husband which color he thinks I should have facing
up. I like his selection, so I'm glad he picked this side. You will see here shortly, but I am
going to add in a totally different throw blanket and pillow combination. I found new pillows at
HomeGoods and I could not resist them. They are from Europe, specifically Italy, and they may be
the most stunning pillows I've ever seen in my life, and they are red, so it definitely helps
tie in the red that I'm adding in to have a more traditional Christmas.
I'm keeping our coffee table very simple with a toddler running around in our house.
The coffee table decor definitely doesn't last very long, so I did want to still show you guys
what I did to hopefully give you guys some inspiration, but this is definitely not to the
extent that I would normally do my coffee table, but that is okay. We haven't had our coffee table
in our living room for a few months now anyways, so we just moved it back in and moved the play
pin in front of the arched cabinet. I'm going to start with a shorter vase that I found at HomeGoods
last year, I believe, and taking these shorter Norfolk pine stems from Wayfair and just placing
a bunch of them in there. I'm adding in my woven storage boxes to the right, and then I'm actually
going to elevate that vase with the Norfolk pine stems. I'm going to place a coffee table book under
it just to elevate it slightly. For on top of the woven boxes, I'm just taking two little figurines
for Christmas that I got from Target last year. Nothing too crazy, and to be honest, these do not
stay on the coffee table because our little foster daughter always wants to grab them, and they are
breakable. This candle also does not stay on our coffee table. I only put it here for the video, so
don't you worry.
So here I am swapping out the original throw and pillow combination for the new one. I personally
love it so much more, but I cannot wait to hear what your opinion is in the comments below.
This throw blanket I just got in from the Walmart deals that are going on right now.
It's only $12, which this would make such a great gift, or even if you just want to spoil yourself
and get a comfy new throw blanket. But with that, that is going to complete this living room
Christmas decorate with me. I hope that you enjoyed coming along and decorating our living
room in a more traditional Christmas theme this year. I love the red, but I can't wait to hear
what you think of it in the comments below. If you're not already, please make sure to subscribe

today's video, and I'll catch you in my next one. Bye!
